You could put mirror where tree is. I like the shelf unit next to kitchen and the color as is. 💕. I put LED strip lights in my antique bar hutch that I bought. They look great!!
I also say, don’t painted if anything strip it….. if you ever get bored of the color now.🙃 It’s a gorgeous piece !❤ I like it where you have it now or also by the door where the Christmas tree is .🌟
Keep the mirror there, it is a perfect spot for small space and opening it up from the front door. Definitely think shelf should go by your art space like Zack thinks. Also painting it charcoal with a lighter wood tone inside would be awesome!
It's hard to find old furniture with the perfect stain thats not to orange or red..you should totally leave it's stunning. If you do want to to paint anything maybe just the back drop...so like the back of each cubby. To have that little pop of color. I can't wait to see what you do with it!!!! Please film you decorating it!
The mirror really looks good where it’s at and it’s very useful there. The shelf I feel if you put it by the tv it will make that area look crowded like it’s competing with the tv. Also you have two sets of light fixtures that you need access to. Love the shelf ❤
Hi Brandy and Zach I would try to stain it black, paint black, on a few spots on the bottom before you go ahead and do the entire thing! I would put it where you have it by the kitchen chair’s! I love your liquor cabinet and you make it fancy so don’t worry about seeing it when you walk in! I’m excited when you get something!! Love your channel and so happy for you about moving!!
Beautiful piece ! My opinion is to strip it then stain the outside either the black or dark brown, as far as placement goes I agree with Zach. Enjoy guys!
I think the art corner. It would keep the wall where the tv is from looking like solid dark items. Too heavy looking right by the door, and definitely not where the mirror is. It’s your piece of furniture and your house, but I would never paint a piece with stained wood that nice.
I think you need to try different areas for your new piece and see where it feels right👍 I think you should redecorate your kitchen shelf and display your new beautiful bowls, maybe lean a vintage picture on it, make it a show stopper!
I like the mirror where it is…it makes the space feel larger when you walk in and is functional. I agree with Zach’s suggestion of placement. I wouldn’t paint it. The inside currently looks darker than the outside due to lighting so it already has contrast! I love it….I have a very similar one in my home (old lawyers bookcase)
That cabinet is a really cool find. So many uses… bar cabinet, great linen display in the bathroom, great office filing cabinet. I think in your apartment it might be better suited where the Christmas tree is, because it is between the kitchen and living room.
It’s beautiful definitely strip it and stain iy if anything i bought an antique cabinet in a yard sale and came home and painted it and regret it so badly now i am waiting for a free weekend to strip it and sand it and stain it 😅
Hi Brandy good morning happy Sunday morning and happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
I like the idea of it next to the kitchen and move your mirror by the door. Also, I wouldn't paint it, if it were me. Love the piece, though! Good eye for great pieces, Brandy!!
I like #1 nearest to kitchen where it could make a WOW feature when your guest enters so they see all your beautiful glassware. I think the Dark Brown finish and leave the inside as is and it is looking great as you styling it now. Love you guys❤
Love the cabinet it ties in nice with your other shelf on the wall. My choice is the kitchen gives it a cozy vibe. Move mirror where Christmas tree is. To beautiful of a piece to be put in the corner. Congrats it's a great find.
Brandy, I agree with Zach that you should not put the piece where the mirror is. I think you will find that it will make that part of the apt feel very cluttered and crowded. I’ve lived in apts before and you want it to feel as open as possible. If you aren’t making cocktails every day then I’ve move it to the other location. Another idea is to buy the battery operated lights that are not the round puck lights but they are like a long bar and you could attach them to the underside of the bottom of each shelf in the back and you control them with a remote and it would be a really nice way to highlight your glassware and give a nice ambiance to the shelving in the evenings. Another way to use lighting in the space that gives off a soft glow. They sell them on Amazon. Also vote for no paint. I’ve painted several thrifted pieces before and this one you got is a beautiful tone of wood. Not too orange, it’s gorgeous as is.
I think if you want to paint it you should. One thing I have done several times is use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint with their bonding agent added so it doesn’t “crackle”. It gives a really nice sheer look so you can still see the wood grain, or you can do more coats for a more painted look. It has a really nice smooth matte finish & super easy to work with. Whatever you decide, it will be beautiful!
My 1st vote is Zach’s spot (and not simply because it’s Zach lol) but my 2nd vote is where the Christmas Tree currently is. I love it so much I immediately started searching Facebook Marketplace for something similar. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for one like yours!
Keep the mirror there it’s absolutely stunning 💕merry Christmas guys love you both so much .Merry Christmas and a very happy new year love from England 🎅🏻🤶🎅🏻💕🇬🇧🤶🎅🏻🐶
Barrister bookcases are so hardy (the shelves are solid), so I've only seen them used to store books. Looks good, but if it's that bad, maybe strip and stain it the tone you want?
We need to see it in the other spots to really tell if it can be there. It’s hard to tell from this video. It does seem Zach idea is the best but don’t know for sure.
It's a tough call. If you rarely have drinks/entertaining then put it in art corner. If you think you will be using it a lot put it where mirror is. I like the mirror where it's at but I also vision by the door so you can check yourself before you go out the door.
Zach’s spot 100%! If your space was much larger, I think it might be strange to have the cabinet off into another section of the house but because you live in an apartment, I don’t think that’ll be a big deal. Also, I agree don’t paint it just yet or if you do then dark brown over the black
Me personally I think where the kitchen is but the mirror makes reflection and give room a bigger feel so if it must move I would say the wall Zach said.
Put it where Zach wants it. I wouldn’t paint it. I don’t think it’s going to change it up as much as you would think. It will take the character away painting it. Great find! ❤️
Please don't paint it, the wood is gorgeous. I like Zach's location. Maybe catty cornered in that location. Bar items (IMO) should be in the gathering location. If people are standing around making drinks and you're in the kitchen preparing appetizers they would be in the way. Also, since it is by the entry guests making drinks would block the entrance area as well. Beautiful piece and that mirror as well!!
Brandy, it was meant to be. It was waiting for you and now you will style her like nobody's business. I say live with it but don't paint it. Its original wood and the color is stunning. It works eith your decor. My first choice would be put it in the back wall by your desk. In the kitchen or where the tree is might look cluttered. You have some room when the tree is gone and with big furniture it should blend into the room. I love the mirror where it is. Just my 2 cents. Love the 70s theme n those pants are so fun. I want to see pic👍🏼🙌🏼🤗
Maybe you could put your gold mirror In your master, And take out other mirror. And the bookcase is gorgeous. It looks like Lawyer stacks, beautiful, Kathleen Have a great and safe trip
I hope hope you decided on a shirt and tied it at the waist. That was totally the vibe back then. I also think your piece should go in the corner on the other side of the tv.
Please don’t paint it. It’s gorgeous the way it is!
I agree, it’s beautiful!
Definitely Zach's vision for it. Love your idea though to paint outer part black.😍
I always love your vision Brandy!! But this time, I have to vote for where Zach wants it 😊
I love the shelf and that’s a great find! I would go with Zach’s place for it ❤
Zach’s idea for it sounds like a great spot! And it gives you a good reason to tidy your art supplies! 😊
Zach is 100% right. Live with it. Don't change it.
You could put mirror where tree is. I like the shelf unit next to kitchen and the color as is. 💕.
I put LED strip lights in my antique bar hutch that I bought. They look great!!
Love your vision for the black and natural wood but definitely love the natural color!
I choose Zach’s location 😊
It is a lawyers book shelf, I have had mine for 30yrs. And still love it
I like Zach's spot! You won't want it right in the walkway, it'll feel heavier there. Also, I'm biased, but I love the look of it as is!
I vote for the area next to your art corner for the Barrister cabinet. Enjoy your party in Oregon.
Zach’s spot pick and I vote no paint but have antique mirror cut to fit the back 🖤
I also say, don’t painted if anything strip it….. if you ever get bored of the color now.🙃
It’s a gorgeous piece !❤
I like it where you have it now or also by the door where the Christmas tree is .🌟

Please film you decorating it!
You could even put a little strip light tucked on the top of each shelf to show off some of the drink wear and bottles!! Beautiful piece 🤩
Love your new cabinet find! Can’t wait for your to complete they styling and sure it would look just as nice if you go with paint or stain.
Beautiful piece ! My opinion is to strip it then stain the outside either the black or dark brown, as far as placement goes I agree with Zach. Enjoy guys!
I agree with Zack about the mirror but I think it will look amazing where the Christmas tree is now.

Please do a video on different ways to style that beautiful piece!
this is a awesome piece!!, i would move the mirror some where else and leave it right there.
I like the mirror where it is…it makes the space feel larger when you walk in and is functional. I agree with Zach’s suggestion of placement. I wouldn’t paint it. I love this idea Brandy!!!! Thank You!!!!!♥️

It’s beautiful definitely strip it and stain iy if anything i bought an antique cabinet in a yard sale and came home and painted it and regret it so badly now i am waiting for a free weekend to strip it and sand it and stain it 😅
I love the windows especially the top one.
Option 1, for sure. The mirror would look great in the corner by the TV.
It’s a beautiful piece and I love the color. I agree with Zack (Zach) for the location.
Zach’s spot😊
I would either leave it as is or strip it .
And I love it where the mirror is but I also love the mirror there lol
Hi Brandy good morning happy Sunday morning and happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
Agree with Zach on this one. Would look great by your art area.
I like the idea of it next to the kitchen and move your mirror by the door. Also, I wouldn't paint it, if it were me. Love the piece, though! Good eye for great pieces, Brandy!!
My grandma had a cabinet just like that and i wish i had it now!
I like #1 nearest to kitchen where it could make a WOW feature when your guest enters so they see all your beautiful glassware. I think the Dark Brown finish and leave the inside as is and it is looking great as you styling it now. Love you guys❤
I'd put it where Zac said or where the mirror is but I do like where the mirror is! Gorgeous piece. I see them all the time.
Love the cabinet it ties in nice with your other shelf on the wall. My choice is the kitchen gives it a cozy vibe. Move mirror where Christmas tree is. To beautiful of a piece to be put in the corner. Congrats it's a great find.
Zacks spot is best.
I think where Zach wants it :). When you enter through the front door, you’ll be able to see the cabinet and the cool way you decorate the shelves :)!
I would go with Zack’s vision
He’s going to love you for this!! 🤣
I like it where Zach suggested! And, I would not paint … it’s lovely and special as is!
Love the shelf! My husband has those in his office for his vintage video game collection. 😂
Where the mirror is now is my preference.
Yes outside black. That would look good. Lawyers bookcase. Love it.
You and Zach are the cutest ❤
i agree with zach!!
My 1st vote is Zach’s spot (and not simply because it’s Zach lol) but my 2nd vote is where the Christmas Tree currently is. I love it so much I immediately started searching Facebook Marketplace for something similar. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for one like yours!
leave it, it's such a beautiful warm walnut finish
I say over where the art studio is...where Zach says...Goid Luck guys 😊
Keep the mirror there it’s absolutely stunning 💕merry Christmas guys love you both so much .Merry Christmas and a very happy new year love from England 🎅🏻🤶🎅🏻💕🇬🇧🤶🎅🏻🐶
Barrister bookcases are so hardy (the shelves are solid), so I've only seen them used to store books. Looks good, but if it's that bad, maybe strip and stain it the tone you want?
The spot zack picked for sure
Oh my goodness no paint. I have same cabinet I love it❤
Yay! The shelf! What a beauty! 😍
Option 1, move the mirror to the bedroom.
move the mirror... keep the new cabinet near kitchen 😊
Put the mirror by Christmas tree
I agree with Zach
We need to see it in the other spots to really tell if it can be there. It’s hard to tell from this video. It does seem Zach idea is the best but don’t know for sure.
Love the cabinet and how you styled it as a bar space! Your crystal “Princess House “ lamp would look beautiful too ❤
It's a tough call. If you rarely have drinks/entertaining then put it in art corner. If you think you will be using it a lot put it where mirror is. I like the mirror where it's at but I also vision by the door so you can check yourself before you go out the door.
Brandy I love your channel so much!! I am doing vlogmas also
Zach’s spot 100%! If your space was much larger, I think it might be strange to have the cabinet off into another section of the house but because you live in an apartment, I don’t think that’ll be a big deal. Also, I agree don’t paint it just yet or if you do then dark brown over the black
Love the cabinet , i think leave it by the kitchen and move the mirror elsewhere.
Place it in the bathroom, and place towels and all your other beautiful decor pieces!
I like Zacks spot best
I like it next to the kitchen.
Yes just smiles when I log on and see this notification
I was so happy it was still there 🥰
Option four.
Zach is right!!
I’d leave it as is for a while as far as painting goes. Move the mirror behind the tree and leave the shelf there. :)
I think the silver pants are great for 70s party.
The Corner where Zach likes it!
Me personally I think where the kitchen is but the mirror makes reflection and give room a bigger feel so if it must move I would say the wall Zach said.
Im with u with over there being too far but feel like where else can the mirror go?
I’m thinking, get some lighting in the shelves 💁🏻♀️😊
Cant wait to see you and Zach all dressed up for party!!
Where the tree is! Gorgeous piece!!!!!
Where the mirror is.
Put it where Zach wants it. I wouldn’t paint it. I don’t think it’s going to change it up as much as you would think. It will take the character away painting it. Great find! ❤️
I think you should put it in the bathroom and use it for your towels and toiletries
Place where the tree is, and leave the natural wood tone. 😊
I fall more and more in love with the natural wood! Should I strip it and give it a unfinished look or leave it?
@@BrandyJackson Leave it. 👍😊
Definitely where Zach would like , though it would look beautiful statement piece where the mirror is with an art piece on top 😆ok I was no help 😂
Or see if the silver mirror fits in your bathroom!
It would be beautiful if you paint it black and leave it in the kitchen. I would leave the inside wood though.
Option 1
I think if you had a fur coat especially a cropped one would be perfect for your disco outfit.
Please don't paint it, the wood is gorgeous. I like Zach's location. Maybe catty cornered in that location. Bar items (IMO) should be in the gathering location. If people are standing around making drinks and you're in the kitchen preparing appetizers they would be in the way. I want to see pic👍🏼🙌🏼🤗
I’d put it near your desk.
If anything, Id strip it to lighter wood and stain the exterior to a black stain.
Maybe you could put your gold mirror In your master,
And take out other mirror. And the bookcase is gorgeous.
It looks like Lawyer stacks, beautiful, Kathleen
Have a great and safe trip
Cute sweater 😍
By your office area.
Zach is going to be happy you agree with him! 🤗
I hope hope you decided on a shirt and tied it at the waist. That was totally the vibe back then. I also think your piece should go in the corner on the other side of the tv.
