Always love the way you don’t over complicate your video’s. Short and sweet and to the point 👍

A cool approach and very well done video by an experienced guy who knows what he's doing but I'd also consider telling your viewers to simply set their miter to 30 degrees instead of 45. In this way, the intersection of the three pieces will fall in the exact center of the three boards. More importantly - with the approach suggested in this video, the angles between the three boards are not uniform - the angle between the bottom two is 90 degrees and the other two angles are 135 degrees. So if you were expecting a "tripod" like result with equal angles you won't get what you expected.
By setting your miter to 30 degrees instead of 45 all the pieces are cut identically and all the angles come out the same. Unfortunately, some miter saws don't have a "detent" at 30 degrees so you need to make sure to get your angle set as accurately as possible.
One other "hint" on this sort of project. The method this individual uses in marking the center of the board and cutting to that line makes a lot of sense but this requires resetting the angle each time and there is another way.
If you use a "fence" or some sort of stop on the outside of the board you're cutting (the end that isn't going to have the angles) you can simply cut your first angle through the entire board, flip it over on the other side and cut the other angle and they will meet exactly in the center without having to draw any lines or reset your saw.
Again, no disrespect to this approach - it's cool and not one I'd seen before. There are many ways to skin a cat I guess and this is one other way. Very nicely done video!

I was thinking the same thing, but I mean no disrespect! Everybody has a different way of accomplishing the task at hand, and as long as the end result is satisfactory, all’s well! When I look at the three boards, I immediately think “120 degrees apart!”, and would proceed to follow the procedure you said Dave F. . I do enjoy seeing new ways to “skin a cat!”!

Use a ratchet trap and make a loop around so 3 boards. Get them all lined up with glue on them and ratchet it down a little.

How would you do a 3-way miter cut with quarter round? I have an angle that has become a major pain.
Can you possibly do a video explaining this? It would be extremely helpful,
Thank you so much, your videos are very helpful for DIYers, such as myself.

I didn’t really get what you were marking on those first marks when you made the first marks like you went to the middle then said 45 degree and ran until what point crossed what mark?

I wonder if you can do that so each board is cut identically for a symetrical joint. I'm guessing there is an exact angle
