I was asked at the hospital what my gender & preferred pronouns were & all I could do was sit there and look at this lady , she then says we don't want to offend anyone & are required to ask & include it on the paperwork , I then asked what happens to us less than confused people get "offended " for asking us such a dumb question .

School discipline was a problem at LAUSD 20 years ago when I taught there for a year. Wanted a kid removed from your classroom, admin just sent the miscreant to some other classroom. No support for teachers. It was the worst year of my adult life. Don't miss it for one second.

I was bullied as a kid in Southern California. So not surprising. I grew up there and the kids were superficial and nasty, from my experience. This was back in the 80's.
But this is what made us strong. Now, kids are offended by everything, win trophy’s for nothing and they are addicted to anxiety meds.

I am a native California in the 1940ties and early 50ties. Back then, it was a great state to grow up in because kids could be kids. We took rifles to high school and nobody thought anything about having those guns at school. None of the gender nonsense was even thought about. A boy was a boy and a girl was a girl period. We were taught how great a nation America is, said the pledge to the flag and sang the star spangle banner at the start every school day. We respected our teacher and school administrators too. Not so in California today. Chaos is rampant now due to the liberal politicians and their draconian policies. High cost of living and taxes have further destroyed this once great state.

Yep, all through the 60s also, at least for me. And, in non-uniform wearing schools, dress shirts and slacks for the boys and dresses or blouses and skirts (no higher than one inch below the knee) for the girls. We truly grew up in magical times, the best of times I dare say.
Agree with everyone on here. Kids were kids, parents were parents. Everyone had boundaries and rules to follow. Today? Its a free for all! Kids are running the country, parents, teachers etc...

I was born and raised in North Hollywood. In grade school when we heard the alarm go off we were trained to get under our desk, scwat down cover our heads with our hands and sometimes we'd all have to line up with our classroom and stand in a row for about 15 mins. Because of course we could be bombed at any minute... We respected teachers, elders, moms and dads. We were to be seen and not heard. We'd have to pick a branch from a tree so our grandparents could switch our legs all the way to the front door. We never talked back. We called our teachers Mr. or Mrs. Smith. We never asked our teachers about their lives nor did they ask if we'd rather be a boy or a girl. What the heck in tarnation has happened to our world. What used to be wrong is now right? Wth? A kid is aloud to hand dollar bills to a drag queen in school or church??? Biden and his administration has turned America into a laughing stock and is being controlled by Obama anyway so there's that...😮

House Republicans shouldn't marginalize Democrats with these 12 appropriations bills. I dont know if they want to cut spending? But what's going to happen is almost every Republican in the Senate with the Democrats will pass an omnibus bill. So how are House Republicans going to pass the 12 appropriations bills without bipartisanship in the House of Representatives? It'll never work. It's a waste of time! Sometimes House Republicans might be able to pass a bill on there own in partisanship and work out a deal with the Democrats in the Senate and in the White House. Like on the southern border and getting a wall from the west coast pacific in California all the way across through Texas to the gulf of Mexico. And those people can wait in Mexico. There might be 50 million people waiting down there, terrorists from the middle east who knows where they come from. The thing is though is how are you going to do 12 appropriations bills without Democrats in the House? Now if they dont want to work on it. Are the Republicans in the Senate going to pass a big omnibus bill and not help the Republicans in the House? All we're trying to do is get government spending under control and figure out how we're going to deal with the national debt in the long term. It is the responsible thing to do. Republicans are probably going to have to punt at least till early next year. You got 2 months to work on 12 appropriations bills before the 1st of next year. You wanna get these 12 appropriations bills going every year because the government is chasing a lot of bad money with good money.
When I was in school you could always recognize the kids that bullied me, they were the ones with the busted lips.
