The ticket won't be beaten in court either, lol. These comments are all delusional. Local municipalties have traffic codes like this all the time that leave determination of violation entirely up to the discretion of the officer. Much like "reckless driving", no evidence or objective measure is needed, a cop's determination alone is valid.
The only time a dB reader is relevant in court is if the section has a limit on dB. Otherwise? SCOTUS has done nothing to say this type of traffic code is unconstitutional, therefore it is legal. And most towns have it, but internet lawyers don't bother with research.
The charge probably won't stick but they don't care because they know the process IS the punishment.
BINGO!! they want to make fighting the ticket very annoying especially for out of state drivers, so the average CA visitors will decide just to send in the payment. A complete revenue generating scam.

@jiggypop you are correct I guess I misspoke. I disagree with most California laws because they are there to protect anyone. Especially this law about exhaust it was created to increase the ability to increase the state's revenue. And that is unconstitutional to me.

Thats when you pay the judge a visit at his home.😂
Entrapment is when a law enforcement officer gets someone to do something they wouldn’t otherwise do through coercion. Police parking near a car show is not entrapment. However this ticket is bs and would easily be beat as the only “proof” the officer has of a violation is their subjective opinion.
Let's be honest, that exhaust was awfully loud for 10km (6 miles). Definitely not adequate muffling.
@@calmthequiet2481 again, that is an subjective opinion, you must prove that in court. "Government agents may not originate a criminal design, implant in an innocent person's mind the disposition to commit a criminal act." Cops hanging out around a place that might have more crime is not entrapment. They are not encouraging people to speed or rev their engines as they leave the parking lot. @@magicalhook9576 Because the FBI has been entrapping muslim teens into attempting 'terrorism' constantly for the last 20 years? Their agents convinced them they could do it and helped organize the plot, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gretchen_Whitmer_kidnapping_plot#FBI_informants_and_agents
Go to court and try to argue this is any definition of entrapment. My point was, you speeding out of a parking lot is a crime and it is not entrapment because they are not forcing you or encouraging you to break the law. And even if they did you get a 100 dollar ticket, when the FBI does it you get 20 to life. You should know this because you seem like the type of person they would target for that, dumb ass.
