- In today's vlog, I take apart a MagicBand Plus. The MagicBand Plus is the third iteration of Magic Bands at Disney World. They have much of the same functionality as previous Magic Bands, but can also interact with nighttime shows and the golden 50th anniversary statues at Walt Disney World. I explain how I disassembled the Magic Band, as well as what I found inside.

that was cool, thanks for this
Awesome video!!! Great job! I love your precision. Totally subscribing :)
Thanks! I appreciate that!
thats so cool 😯 thanks for showing us
i did not mean to make that a reply
You covered all of this but nowhere (unless I missed it) did you show the battery part number or battery chemistry. Do you remember if this is a NiMH or Lithium cell? There is a number visible in the video but that appears to be a serial number for the battery, not a part number.
I believe it’s a lithium-ion battery. The battery is manufactured by ATL, who is the world’s leading producer of lithium-ion batteries.
Is this a BR2325 or CR2325 battery? BR is rechargeable while CR is not rechargeable
Must be a BR then, as the MagicBand+ batteries are rechargeable.
@@ThatFLFeeling noted, because I’m wanting to take it to a jeweler to have the battery replaced since I’m having battery issues and I’m afraid of damaging it if I take it apart.
Did you do anything more? We just left Disneyworld and I was wanting to see if I could setup my house to get the band to vibrate. Ive been working a bunch with RFID chips but didnt know If I could make a disneyband work with home projects
I’m working on another Disney-related project, so this one has moved to the back burner. I have another video about locking my front door with a MagicBand, but nothing with vibration, yet.
love what you did here and with your RFID door lock! i would like to see what you come up with next, i am really looking to do this with my nieces band. I want to be able to send signals and adjust the lights on the band like they do at the park. Any ideas? she was obsessed with the lights changing during the shows
Started working on this, but it’s pretty complicated, so I put it on the back burner to work on another project. Would still like to be able to do stuff with the MagicBand+, tho, so stay tuned!
i will! thank you.. i cant believe they dont have anything within the disney app that allows you to change the colors for the kids. seems like such an easy thing given you can connect right to the band. Looking forward to your future videos@@ThatFLFeeling
@KyleCartierTV In the My Disney Experience app, there is an option in the Magicbands and More section to change the color. We let my son hold the MB+ and were changing the colors via the app and he was in awe! Maybe an easy solution for your niece’s enjoyment!
@@ThatFLFeeling I saw that section but I could only change the light colors when they were triggered at Disney. You can turn the lights on manually and change colors while home ?
@@KyleCartierTV Yep, you should be able to!
Hi!!! Nice video thanks! I might have missed it.. did you say, or can you put the +puck into the previous version band? I really want The Muppets band but it's not in the magic +. Thanks!
Good question, I’m not sure if the MB+ puck fits into the old bands. It’s a similar size, but can’t say for sure. Thanks for watching!
Will these pucks fit into the aftermarket silicone attachments for smart watches? Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure on that; sorry!
You could 3d print something probably to have any kind of band you want
Are you able to tell us the model or part number for the vibration motor?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t determine that. Sorry!
@@ThatFLFeeling Oh well, thanks for the reply
What screw driver did you use to remove the screws ?
It’s one I have from a tech toolkit.
This seems silly…why?….go take apart a car…lol
