I recently saw Olafur Arnalds perform live here in LA and during his presentation he commented us that prior the creation of Kiasmos he lost all mobility on his left arm due to an injury during a car accident that left him disabled and unable to play any instrument. Despite this he gave electronica a chance and he started creating music as Kiasmos because it allowed him to perform live by using only his right arm!

There’s possibly only one thing better than discovering new music you simply know you’re gonna fall in love with: retroactively finding out one half of the authorship is the guy (arnalds) who’s work you already fell in love with some eight years ago. It simply makes sense

What a soothing sound, haunting melodies, too good to be true!
I've known it for a while. It is a collaboration of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen. Very rare to find such brilliant sound artistic music! Sad that they haven't produced anything new for a long time. Seems like it was just a short term project.

Trance is exactly how I would describe it too! I combined it with a bit of alcohol. Not drunk, just enough to numb some nerves. Then it kicks even harder.
