  • Rarely in the annals of military history are successful defensive battles celebrated. Defence of Poonch is one such towering example where the 6 Sikh battalion was presented the colours for their valiant stand at Poonch.

    When you have a war veteran speak, you should just listen - why hurry? You always have the option to edit stuff out later - if at all you think it's required.

    My grandfather also fought in poonch. He retired in 1982.

    Wish the interviewer had not been in such a hurry and had let the General speak freely and as much as he wanted to.
    Pathetic.
