I keep watching Dr Berg, Thomas Delauer and Dr Ken Berry. They should all collab to save the world - the quintessential Keto Kings❤️ I am mentally sharper, quicker, and more productive when fasting 😁

Thank you for all your advice. I have lost over30 pounds since Thanksgiving, dropped blood sugar from 155 to 9. Combined 2MAD with acv tea at night and whole lemon and blueberry drink in morning. Keto has allowedmeto change the way I look at food
Thomas, could you do another video about cyclic keto and what carbs to eat when doing a carb cycle? Maybe even a grocery haul from Aldi, Walmart, Costco, etc. for healthier carb options when someone is eating carbs. Thanks
Speaking from personal experience I do cyclical carnivore diet, so when I increase carbs I usually drink low-fat milk , buttermilk or kefir , also I increase my protein and decrease fat intake to 2:1 ratio.
@@clerede6382 Thanks for your insight. Do you mean you rotate a carnivore diet with a normal-ish diet just by increasing carb intake a little and more protein less fats?... Or you do keto and alternate carnivore with carb increase and fat decrease?... Thanks
The focus and positive mood that comes with fasting works wonders, which is why fasting is emphasized so much in Orthodox Christianity and religions with monastisism. No surprise that so many great inspired minds came from monasteries with ascetic lifestyles.
My longest is 4 days - and I will say , if you try to start and fail, and eat..... pay it no mind, and continue on an eating schedule until you're ready to try again. It's easier if you've already acclimated yourself to intermitten fasting (me: 1 meal a day). There's no shame in breaking a fast before your goal time. I've found w/me it's about momentum : if you can get past that first 36 hrs, it's a little easier to lock in one more day. Then again my limit , so far , is 4 days. It's almost addicting , in terms of how much better you feel: your eyes feel much more clear, thinking, more energy etc... Our bodies are an amazing, amazing physical and spiritual creation. There's a reason (actually many) Jesus said :"WHEN you fast ......."
Bottom line: as both of you keep pointing out, there are SO many reciprocal pathways, SPECIFIC to the person, on ANY given day, that the “reality” of designing therapy for a patient is NEVER going to be driven by intellectual approach, including keto/glucose meters. Instead, patients, clients, health devotees, should be TRAINED to be “increasingly sensitive” to ALL of these physiological states, ie. ketosis , high glucose, etc. ONLY then can the individual manipulate the variables to desired ends. In short, people generally fail when applying these concepts because they can’t even differentiate between the “experience” of an insulin high versus ketosis versus the lowered metabolic state of a 2 day fast!
40 hours water fasting once a week. And on other days 16:8 intermittent fasting(two meals a day) I see great results, but is this sustainable? Will weight loss keep happening if we continue the above mentioned fasting methods or it will stop at one point? Once we reach ideal BMI should we adjust fasting schedule?
Thomas has said that he prefers IF on and off, and he and others I follow say to take breaks from it, just as Dom also says here. Did you see Thomas's recent video about balancing the IF days and carb days? That might clear things up for you.
@@deepakgoldwyn7852 I think once you reach your desired BMI you might switch it up to maintenance form of feeding. But like you said, we need to find what works for us and is a sustainable life style.
@@DashingPartyCrasher But what does 'taking a break from IF' mean? Are you eating the standard three meals a day? Snacking? How many hours between meals? How many meals? Nobody has really stated a decent protocol for what 'not doing IF' means.
Thank you gentlemen. I would like to hear more about keto, fasting for controlling seizures, I have a son that had had seizures for years he refuses to take drugs to control them.
I have been watching your channel and also several others regarding nutrition. I am leaning more towards carnivore diet and even though I don't see you promoting it and seem to prefer a more varied diet I'd be curious of your thoughts on it?
He has stated many times he would not be opposed to taking it later in life if his numbers and performance really starts to drop, but once you start you are on it for life. Thomas has stated the same.
Thanks for the depth in here guys. To go a bit deeper on trace minerals, I spent nearly 8 years with the world leader in this space within animal nutrition and peer reviewed published research and meta analyses. The company have the greatest in depth knowledge on how these trace minerals interact and are absorbed, which led them down the path over 50 years ago with a unique and patented complex action to take advantage of the amino acid pathway to gain entry for these essential trace minerals like Zinc as opposed to the highly antagonised inorganic standard mineral pathway for absorption in the stomach. The company has also been involved in human nutrition for some time and gave some very interesting published papers. They released mend+defend range for humans. Do your own research, it’s there for all to review. I personally recommend these complexes to my colleagues and friends due to my knowledge in this industry and based purely on the science that surrounds them. There are no other trace minerals with the same capacity that I am aware of.
It would be nice to hear what other important "supplements" or things in our food we should not be deficient in except for Zinc and Magnesium. I heard that Vitamin D and Vitamin K is very important, but what is your take on it Thomas DeLauer? I'm trying to loose weight mostly.
I'd also like to know. I think it's different for each person based on their size and metabolism. I try to stay low carb, but for me that's still includes about 100g of organic oats daily, plus lots of veggies, nuts, healthier proteins, and the occasional chickpea pasta night. So compared to the average person I'm low carb, but I prefer to tell people I'm "slow" carb.
Great content/ discussion! Especially enjoyed supplementation combined with intermittent fasting. Been on strict keto for 12 months, lift 3-4 days per week, lost 45lbs, now 6’3” 210lbs., supplement magnesium/boron/q10/saw palmetto/protein, 17/7 fast 3-4 times per week. Initially lost size/inches everywhere. Now muscular volume/ inches has increased. Question: I have weighed 210 now going on 4 months. Body composition has changed some (putting on muscle), however can’t seem to loose final mid section/ handles (abs are showing, but not completely). Feel like I’m stalling. Any suggestions on loosing this final amount of fat?
Thanks Guy's! We currently are 5-6 weeks in IF/Keto-LC-NS and the Brain is taking time to adjust, we hope to get over this soon. Any chance of contacting Dom for discussion? Would love to talk with him. LoveTruth, highest path!
I've been taking magnesium for some time however I experienced a calming affect after taking vit. D3/ K2 supplement. I think these work together, but don't know for sure. I do know they help a great deal in a lot of areas. Im naturally high energy high strung. So i really felt the calming effect.
could be a placebo effect. the vit.d in tablets does not do anything. it first needs to be converted into 25(OH) vitamin D by the liver which takes many days.
Yes, they do work in synergy. And as you probably know, D3 is actually a hormone with lots of anti inflammatory benefits, so it makes sense that it can be calming.
Question: About to turn 50, experimenting with 24 hour fasts with a workout in the last 4-6 hours of the fast. What is the best way to break this fast post workout at my age? Many thanks!
Hey Thomas, sorry this is off-topic, but could you do a video on eating whole lemons? That is, clean a lemon with vinegar and then put it in the blender, peel, pith, seeds, pulp, and all, and make a slush. Then when you eat it, add a teaspoon of olive oil. You have some great recipes with ACV, maybe use that and cayenne. There are supposed to be super benefits from the whole lemon, so if you have any research that would be great too.
Ive been on Keto for a little over 3 months. I am just starting to cycle off for 3-4 weeks then back on. Can I just jump to intermittent fasting or do you still need to cycle off Keto so you do not become Glucose intolerant?
