In a study I read, the crowd is about as good as expert market investors in spotting the markers of fraudulent or shoddy businesses and projects. So yea, there are fakes out there, but usually there are enough different perspectives looking at the idea to spot the frauds.
I think it's worse though that many people in medical emergencies have to resort to crowdfunding to pay for their treatment because instead of healthcare being a guaranteed right.
The way she explained it sounds like it’s just people begging for money and the beggars don’t even have to succeed at anything. Am I missing something?
