@Roelandvinken A tool is only "hard" if you don't know how to use it. I find SPSS extremely hard to use. WHY? For serious data analyzers, we need 3 things: 1) Absolute knowledge about exactly what the program is doing. 2) Absolute control about how it does it. 3) The ability to program in things that are not "routine". So, if a "black box" that does the basics is good for you, then Excel/SPSS is for you. R is only hard for about a week, then it gets very easy once you get the basic idea.
