I used to work in retail, and you can kind of get the wholesale cost curve the retailer is using. Often it's 1/10th of the MSRP. NEVER CONSIDER THE MSRP AS A REASONABLE PRICE!! IT'S artificially inflated exactly for contrast, as the video says. After lots of shopping, I've come to the conclusion that 50% of MSRP is a decent deal. This is for most non-food items of minor purchase value. But with such a steep curve, that's just a starting point though.

Thank God am I sociopathic enough not to care about such a silly non-issue. Even if I don't intend to use any of these techniques, I better know them so that I don't fall for them. Besides, I rather be the one using them unethically than being the victim.
The sad truth is that it's most of the time first heartbroken then heartbreaker. No matter, if you got sociopathic, abusive, addicted, depressed or narcissistic parents, the chances are high, that you grow up to be messed up yourself and pass it on, like a curse to future generations... I don't say, that you become what your parents are, but something from the same catalogue.
The funiest thing is at the end of the video. You recomended a book to buy. That is a trap, because you recomended the book. The majority of the people will buy the book.Sorry for my english. It's not my native language.
But if everyone learns this information from youtube videos, then it is not as valuable anymore because everyone will know it. Also, the manipulation techniques will not work anymore because everyone will know about them.
Know something and know hot to use that something are two different things, some of the knowledge to use a simple thing as "redirect" for exemple, would require a lot of other types of knowledge. Anyone using something they're not used to it will look fake and nobody would buy it... and to use any of those things would require years of pratice, and even the most experienced "player" can lose the game, if you need to think any of those things during a conversation, you already lost your touch, in any conversation you have to feel confortable and talk as you usually does, but when you try to impersonate something or someone, you'll drop the ball eventually. So this kind of thought only works to protect yourself if you can't use it, or to improve an already "master of manipulation", it's like a video of a coach teaching the best things about the best player in the world, the only people who would benefit from it are those who already are good at the game, and if they play their cards right, someday they can be as good as that player was (doesn't mean they'll achieve the same level of success). People usually get afraid when those sociopathic behaviors are teached, but don't realise that just a small portion of people can actually use it and be like that... So if you know you can't use it and your ethics are strong enough to put you in fear of those traits, just step away from trying to be like that, and instead try to lean that to protect yourself and to identify those people and get away from them.
Can the person whose channel it is opt out of adverts interrupting the videos in mid sentence or is this a custom imposed by TH-cam? It is really annoying and disrespectful to the viewer! Adverts at beginning are okay but not adverts which actually interrupt. How can we change this? These videos are very useful and I think TH-cam need to stop disrespecting their users. Well done for these insights and let's hope TH-cam notice this practice is not good for any of us.

tentimetex your assumption is based on The beliefs that everyone watches yt and also has the ability to remember and implement the info.
So if you know you can't use it and your ethics are strong enough to put you in fear of those traits, just step away from trying to be like that, and instead try to lean that to protect yourself and to identify those people and get away from them.
joe drakw no because not ever person is the same these are just the understanding of manipulation it goes beyond that

The 1st and 3rd principle are the same thing?
Very informative channel - glad I found it - I like how the material is presented.
This should be changed to “how to use common sense”
