Josh makes an interesting point about the promotional listings being pulled, but eBay would be shooting themselves in the foot for that. Sellers would not be willing to pay that much per listing fee if they have high volume quantity to sell, and the company would be losing out on a lot of revenue: sellers are more likely to pull their listings and make new listings much more judiciously. My guess is that, if eBay were to go that route, they would instead pull the promotional listings and roll them into the plans while maybe upping the monthly fee a little.
I don't understand how things are going to be better for resellers when Obamacare goes away and is not replaced. Many will have to go back to 9-5 just for insurance. Josh be thankful you have single payer healthcare in Canada.
I cannot decide who's my favorite. Josh has some funny innuendos. Jon is a great down to business guy and Scott is a much appreciated critical thinker. Good guys! Good show!
Big Boy is completely wrong about the effects on the consumer with Tariff's. This will be a gift to big business as they will not absorb 1 penny of these costs, it will surely be passed down the to consumer. Do I mind as a flipper? No. Do I mind as a day trader? Absolutely not. Do I mind as a consumer? Yes
People don't understand how tariffs work. Many believe the importing country pays the tariff. This is not how they work. The American company will pay the tariff. So if Wal-mart buys 4000 shirts from China, Wal-Mart pays the tariffs, which will be passed to the consumer. So it is you and me that pay the tariffs. Expect just about everything you buy to go up 10%.

0 returns out of 974 for 90 day Aug-Oct. Usually my return is "changed mind" or wrong address if I get one. Digital camera I'm trying to sell, I've had couple returns already. I had camera, and 2 clothes items get returned in the summer. Definitely depends on items you sell.
I have no plan B. Reselling represents about 1/3 of our family income. Were reselling to crash then we would simply have to tighten up and live off our fixed income teacher retirements. But I don't think that will happen soon - My best year ever was 2023. Sales were 15% better than 2022. 2024 is running at 14% better than 2023. I am optimistic about the future of reselling because I believe the economy will improve and my sourcing has never failed in the 9 years I have been at this.
Good show but josh hit the nail on the head every man and his dog is jumping into everything reseller n you are competing against more n more people I took josh at his word on this a while ago about finding something specific n I stopped doing everything n went into something specific n I found it to be more targeted n after looking at competition there ain't no where near as many
Secondly Jon......Think deeply about what tariffs will do to the reselling market. Even if it is the case that crap in WalMart will cost more because of tariffs, well....what will that do to the consumer mindset......Tariffs aren't going to raise the price of our honey pots and the Goodwill bins......Higher first-use market goods will actually encourage the second-hand market.......
I think we are entering into uncharted territory (beyond the tariffs that were placed on China 16-20) and it is difficult to know what the effects are until we have gone through it. Everyone will have their thoughts on it but only time will tell.
When someone ends a statement with “right?” It’s because they’re not confident in what they’re saying and want the room to validate what they’re saying.
a commercial every two minute just to hear john and bearded say that trump is going to save their ebay business and stop returns on their broken items. show is unwatchable with all the commercial every few minutes.
my business has done just fine through every administration that it’s been through. I just wonder how many people will be too prideful to admit that they fell for a mega grift and drank the kool aid each time the cup passed by.

I’m sure they can just pay cash for medical care. Who needs Obamacare, right? 😅 Maybe tariffs can pay for red state’s medical bills, right? 😅

Just as mentioned before…hopefully our income taxes will be lower or go totally away to offset that raise in prices and we can manufacture more here.
@@ChristineLegghopefully? Isn’t that something to consider BEFORE you go to the polls?

Scott must have been really triggered about that guy harassing him, to even bring up politics which they for sure decided not to talk about.

2025 higher prices and people losing insurance. Sounds awesome. Poor and middle class are screwed. ✌️
Talks about tariffs by people that have no clue how they work are funny.
