It is possible but very hard, in career or science mode. Even making it to orbit seems pretty hard for the majority of players so if you made it to orbit on the first real launch, that’s pretty great 👍
lol no orbit took me forever.. i got the upgrades now. eventually designed a recoverable first stage that can hit orbit but making it work and actually landing it took forever.. @@TrayTerra

I'm definitely a time warper type, You don't know how many times I crashed into luna whilst trying to warp into an encounter with it, and the worst part is I usually forget to make quicksaves and I have to relaunch and make the same lazy mistake again. 😂
they don't play ksp2 because in its current state, it's not as good as ksp 1 with more performance problems ... so sending something to eve with all these optimisation problems is impossible. ksp 2 = 80 players at the moment I'm writing this ksp 1 =1390 players
i remember i once used cheats and stuff to get into orbit of the sun in sfs and then attempted to land on mars by time warping until my rocket and mars just so happened to align 💀🙏
@@irrationalideas While I was doing my first Duna descent I time warped to the lower atmosphere and my parachutes wouldn't deploy. Luckily I had an autosave right before that though.
I ended up throwing satellites over the couple planets or moons I could actually get to and use them to discover stuff, I wasn't a very good designer or pilot so couldn't ever design a way back home but didn't have the stomach to send a pilot to their deaths
