It only differs in Leicester. Arriving, the 48 diverts over to Newarke Street where services from places like Wigston, Blaby and Lutterworth come in whereas the 158 takes the same route it took coming out. Also, the 48 departs from the Haymarket Bus Station while the 158 goes from St. Margaret’s
@Chiltern Transport Productions They don’t anymore, the 158 also uses Haymarket as of today. The reason the 48 used it from when it opened was because arriving into Leicester, it diverts over to alight where the services from Blaby and Wigston alight and then it eventually started terminating on Charles Street (used to still terminate in SMBS) as it allowed more of a loop through Leicester, and the point of the Haymarket Bus Station was to stop traffic backed up from buses parked at stops.
Great Visual! I never knew that the 48 and 158 used to the same route to Nuneaton.

A Visual for 158 next now the Low bridge is gone
They taking the bridge down at end of August in Nuneaton 14.5 as just read it up on website
Does that mean 158 will get Double Deckers
Idk. It would be nice but I don’t think they’d have enough. Like I’ve said before, it’d probably be a smart move with the 153 only once an hour now.
I was on 3802 to Thorpe astley on the 104
I saw an SB200 in Blaby last night, it was on the X45.
Really? Was it sapphire?
Southleicesterbusenthusiast No, but it looked to me like it was one of the 14-branded ones.
Oh. That's strange.
