thanks for the recommendation, I really need a noise gate

Glad to help, definitely check out the new Donner Soph as well. It looks like a boss clone but I took it apart and it seems digitally managed, to say it may be the best noise gate at that price on the market by far. I didn't get too much time with it tho.

I have bought the Yuer Noise Gate, think it’s the same as that one?

Is this pedal identical to Ammoon noise gate, Mooer noise killer and Donner noise killer?

      Hey, thanks for watching!
While I haven’t personally seen the insides of the others; my suspicion is all pedals of this sort with identical form factors are the same internally. I’ve only seen this one inside tho’

I've always used Boss NS2's but needed a smaller noise gate (pedal board size issues) so I bought one of these. The NS2 is buffered while the Rowin is true bypass. I noticed when I "turn on" the Rowin there's a small drop in output volume, where as with the NS2 it actually bumps the volume a bit. Having never used an ISP I don't know if they cut the volume level as well. Just an observation....

This is interesting, where is it sitting in the chain/did you use the ns2 in a X configuration?

@@TheQShow I have one at the beginning of the chain and one after my distortion pedal to clean up unwanted hiss. Only the second one seems to affect the overall volume level.

i think it depends on the setting of the threshold knob, the volume drops if its too much threshold..or maybe because you use 2 of them at the same time..why do you use 2 of them?

I bought one and was disappointed. The cut off is nowhere near as fast as the isp. I sold this after getting the decimator.

Noted! Which one did you end up grabbing?

    Would it modify your sound/signal?

it has an IC based buffering system, so no more than any other pedal. I'd suggest less so than your usual BJT boss pedal buffer.
If you place it between pre amp and power amp, make sure the preamp has a dedicated fx loop (and that it's at FX pedal levels), otherwise mismatched impedances totally will effect the tone of the amp.

Will this eliminate the hum/hiss from an overdrive pedal? And will it choke the tone?

In my experience it’s very transparent if you’re using it in the right section of your pedal chain (a discarded effects loop vs a preamp out for exmample). It totally would but when deciding placement in the chain unplug the guitar cable. If there’s still him put it after the drive, if it’s much quieter it’s from the guitar, place it earlier

hanks for this video. Ok so the Rowin pedal is filtering the noise out, not just between notes but even during playing ... ? Thanks

I own both and would say that the ISP does the job better

Of course, it even has a link to keep time based pedals out of the surpression. That said, did you try the Demonfx version?
