Use a nail or so and punch some holes into the grove of the can, so that the hardener can drip down and the can is still properly saled if the lid is on (depends on the can, cant see it in the video how the rim is made)

@@hix420 Thank you for the sugestion. The seal on the can will be broken but for a shorter time (weeks) this shold not be a problem.
