@@krohikinghappens for some areas on the four birds trail you will cross into Newark watershed property. It’s recommended you get a hiking permit at the echo lake rd. Office. Just to cover your ass so you don’t get a parking ticket.
@@GreenhornPhototaker Ha ha darn those pesky heavy backpacks! I’ll be back there soon for another practice run. This weekend we finish the AT In Connecticut.
Yea this is more of local favorite of mine as it’s probably the closest vista to my house. It does look better when it’s not so cloudy. But you do have to step down on an angle. To get the best perspective of the view. The off trail ledge is more expansive of a view. But it’s off trail and not easy to find. I can show you one day If you want. It’s funny I’ve probably been to those vista like 20plus times. And I’ve only run into bear poop but yet to run into an actual bear on the trail lol. I’d still give wild cat ridge a look before you end your list. It’s an easy short hike and they may be staring the hawk watch there soon. And the northern section of norvin green state forest that goes to lake Sonoma then up to overlook rock and then to maniticut point. Is a fun loop hike and is remote compared to the rest of norvin green. You would park at crescent drive for that one.there is a giant glacial erratic at the start of the trail head.
You continue to make my life much easier Nick, thank you! I will run into a bear three times on trail this summer. It hardly ever happens but for whatever reason I've had a bout of interesting bear luck lately
This is a new one for me. Looks pretty nice. I’ll definitely have to look into hiking in that area. Thanks!
I did Tammany yesterday but it took me 50 minutes to get up. I'm not blaming my aerobic ability. I'm blaming the weight of my camera backpack lol.
