- The entire intro of this video is missing. I don't know what happened. So I am sorry to anyone that missed the memo that you need to be able to change the ini files to complete this on an Oasisaur. You can always try it on the ground, like a normal build. The Oasisaur is janky at best, anyways. I'm just glad it started at the start of the build, or things would have been weird LOL.
I am so happy with how the Frontier stuff from Bob's Tall Tales looks! It looks incredible. It's even better that it's a cosmetic because now you won't have to sacrifice your metal tin cans for PVP and they can look better!
I just had to do my first frontier build on the back of an Oasisaur. They are a lot smaller than I thought they would be. And I definitely don't like the limits (I adjusted the structure limit), the height limit especially sucks! However, they make a pretty neat base build. One of the best base builds I have done!
On the bright side, I did all of this in just a few hours XD

Since this is a cosmetic build it does not matter what material you use for these pieces.
Mods used: Zero mods used in the creation of the build (This is a vanilla build). Purely decorative mods were used in the interior (next video). They are Circa's Garden Decor (plants and tree) and JVH Landscaping Mod (vines).
Disclaimer: Most of my builds are always built with the idea that you may want to follow along in mind, however, they are speed builds at their core and I have been known to change my mind mid build. If you plan to follow along, I suggest watching it through a bit further, first. At least now you can pick pieces up!

@@kiitarie just a question... how would you adapt it to use it on Official settings? I wish it was possible to do exactly like you did, but I play on Official only. If I can't increase the limit of structures, do you think it has a way to be good like that?
@@juliomelo8947 Well, I ran out of allowed structures with only needing to place just a few more things, You could try and not do a third floor? I don't know how that would turn out though. Or that piece at the back. Honestly though, I would just build it on the ground. The Oasisaur is super buggy.

It is. I went into the ini files and upped it to 5000 on platforms. I should have no problems now XD

I learned a few tips here, like the way you used quarter walls to center a window or door between two foundations. That helps me a lot! I’ve been off-centering the door because I like even numbers of foundations. Looks awesome!

Fantastic build as always. Idk why but the balconies on the top floor hit me as such an unexpected yet perfect idea.
They were definitely an afterthought. You can probably see the moment I paused and went yeh let's put balconies there, ahaha. The Bobs stuff is nice.

Does the Oasisaur stop producing materials if your build destroys the resource node?
Yeh, those nodes are gone like a normal node.
@@kiitarie so once they're gone visually it doesn't auto produce it directly into its inventory anymore? (in the pool inventory)
@@kiitarie Because if so it would be interesting to see if you could build off of pillarsa little higher up so that maybe some nodes could still continue to respawn under the floorboards.
I didn't check, but I can check today. Definitely gone visually, but not all of them, though, because I didn't build everywhere.
@@kiitarie cool, do check! As I've got an Oasisaur that's producing some really handy materials and I still don't know if building on it is going to kill its usefulness for me lol

If you craft on them and block/break the items will they still passively generate inside ?
I haven't tested that far! I just did the build. Still need to try and break the game later XD
how are you getting such great framerate? I have a super deluxe PC right now and recording my builds is near impossible. Same settings as the island and yet my game is performing horribly. Is it just not possible to play above low settings right now?

I mean, I wouldn't call 30fps great XD you can see it in the top right of the video. Very small lol. Game is horribly optimized. IDK how worth it it is building on one of these. Fun, but!
I heard most of the videos going out are all done on single player. It's impossible to do anything elsewhere...if you can get into a server at all!
I always build on single-player. There's no fighting people for good locations, and then I also dont have random people popping up in my videos 🤣
I would not be surprised if official and the like is pillared from head to toe.

How did you increase the construction limit? I couldn't even place furniture on the base because of this limit.
The server setting you want is a PerPlatformMaxStructuresMultiplier. I set it to 5000.

What is the command line I am looking for or adding to the game user ini to increase the structure build limit on the oasisaur? I am not sure what he falls under in max build limits, i don't think he is a platform saddle 😂 so I assume he has his own command line I just need to know what to add if that is the case.🤔
All I changed when I hit the limit was
PerPlatformMaxStructuresMultiplier=1 to 5000. Lol.
Is there any way I can know how many structures are in my Construction per object? example: 7 pillars. 10 walls
Only if you count. I count as I build so I can give our a material list in the video and description. Otherwise, I would never bother. A mod that tells you would be useful for platform builds like this. IDK if one exists.
I think I figured out why the foundation goes different directions solid foundations go one way and ceiling tiles goes the other
Yeh, it's annoying. I tried starting facing a different way and everything, and it just didn't because of snaps.

Ok nice, but 2 questions. If u build like that, will the dino still move and fly? Or do u need special mods or settings? Otherwise its kind of useless.
Second...do the oasisour still produce materials for u when u build over the crystls and other things?
It still moves and flies! I'm pretty certain it stopped producing when built over the resources, though. I haven't tested enough.
@@kiitarie ok thx, i got one now and will test it, but sense i got it and took all the Resources it has still not produced any more, and i havent even started building on it.
Last time I logged in to check something for someone, the Oasisaur had nothing on it at all. Even though I didn't remove everything. They were all just gone. Fingers crossed, they fix them.
@@fredrikwinde2937leave it for a few hours bro possible when u going offline.. Tamed mine yesterday it had nothing on its back after... Went offline for the night came back everything regrew

I don't know, but I ran into that problem a lot! It all felt very unnecessary.

How do you actually use the frintier structure skin on ps5?
You just use it from your hotbar, I guess? You do NEED to have purchased the Bob's Tall Tales DLC.
how can you build there😞 for me it says no snap point. and wehn i get one then i cant place all the found. cuz then theres no snap point for the rest.😕😮💨 i got my platform structures on 5000 and also got the collision placing off so that i "could place inside of a rock" but why cant i build on the oasisaur? ( btw i love your building 💜💜)
Are you changing from full alignment to free placement? I also use ceiling pieces and wall down when it won't let me use foundations.
Before I try to build this on my solo save, will I run into any problems I should know about before doing this?
Just the structure limit. You want to find your game or gameusersettings ini files. I just searched for "platform" and found the one that multiplied the limit and set it to 5000 🤣 No way I am hitting that.
Aww so I’m pretty much screwed if I’m on console then right? I’ll just use your same build somewhere else on the map because it’s just that good
@@wyrmgoreyou should be able to change them in platform settings. I also play on console but this should fix it, haven’t tried though.

You can't place foundations that close, but I could expand with ceiling pieces. I do play with structure collision enabled. Maybe that's the cause?

Very carefully. They are so Janky. I had to fill out spaces with ceilings, and it took me a while to figure out where to put it. I also had to increase the structure limit. It was a mess.
How you put vegetation on walls?
That's the JVH Landscaping mod.
Struggling to build the double doorway in between the quarter walls
It's extremely tricky to get it to snap. I think I look at the top left quarter wall and then cycle through snap points.

I doubt it. You are onky changing up the look of a structure piece.

I had to use ceiling in some spots and they went different I took them out and used asr stone and applied they went same as all others

The material list is a little off! But great build either way
TIP!: watch the whole video and take notes on how many of each item is used then pre build your mats once youve done your tally. The material list is a little off so make sure to make your own.
Lol, thanks for all the comments. I count as I build and sometimes just forget. It's highly possible that I forgot to count an entire floor. I'm only human.
I will try and take more care, but at the same time, if you started building in even a slightly different slot, then yeh, your building count is going to be different. I used 18 foundations because I had to fill out a lot with ceilings and walls. Unless building in a perfectly flat area, you're always going to find slight discrepancies. I will make a note of this in future videos. ♡
