It needs to snap to the quarter ceiling. Sometimes, it's easier to pick up the sloped wall, place the roof, and put the sloped wall back.

ye i fixed that but i cant get the metal roofs to merge near the dock bit at 5:55

You may have to cover a hole in the roof (I like to make small chimneys when I have holes) on the right hand side where I overlap roof pieces, and when It comes to the overhang, you may have to remove the sloped wall and put it back after the roof piece is in place. The center piece has overlapping quarter wall pieces, but you could just omit them if it won't let you place them.

Oh no! I don't remember having any trouble. Have you tried building down and then snapping a stair and removing any excess pieces?

It's extremely tricky to get it to snap. I think I look at the top left quarter wall and then cycle through snap points.

I've never played official. It would look rather boring in terms of interiors for that. Although Bob's Tales would help add some RP to your official with things like couches.
