The bolt is designed to the weak link and break. $11 bolt versus a $200+ sensor or a $1,400 well. I heat my tires with the garage salamander heater to 150 t0 180 F nad they can be slid on by hand without tools.

I've never tried to heat the tires to change them, I might try that next time. Thanks for the input.

When you're refitting the tyre I find it better to start with the valve/sensor between about 90 degrees and almost opposite the duckhead, where the last part of the tyre to pop on ends up. You need the fitted part of the bead pushed down into the wheel well to get the last bit on without risking breaking the bead wire, and if you start at the valve that's where the sensor ends up.

Hi Andy, I'll try that next time, which should be in the next month or so. Thanks for watching.

No worries, figured it out. Hidden screw under the handgrip on the left side of the bike, remove that and grip, function wheel and switch all come slide off as one lol.

Question, I have the K1600 GT and want to swap to GTL bars. Bought the bars, not the GT bars are not coming off. What I mean is, the switches and stuff will not come loose on the GT bars. Am I doing something wrong or can the black straight bar all the controls are mounted to just slip out of the silver risers somehow and I can reuse the black straight bar??? Ughhhhh, this is freaking killing me and the book doesn't tell me much.

Just broke my pin. Is the part of the remaining in the wheel hard to remove?

You know a man is serious about his pens when he wears a vest just to carry his favorite 20 pens

Good video, I am fitting similar aftermarket sensors to my cbr6 wheels. Please tell me do the bmw type sit touching the rim or is there a gap? Thanks.
