I know people love to fight about Arrma and Traxxas. I honestly don’t care 🤷🏼♂️ Is it good is all I care about. I do believe that all brands pay attention to the market and adjust upon others fails and wins, and even the aftermarket. RC companies have way more feedback on their products than any time in history. They watch as thousands of people take their products and make them better, or into something else entirely. No company started out making RC vehicles as capable as the consumer base made possible. They are out there doing the R&D no company could ever possibly accomplish on their own. The XRT is proof of it. It looks like an Arrma, yet set up like many aftermarket Arrma build, and you make it quite obvious they paid attention to the chassis. Thanks for the great video and thanks for being one of the people that make RC cars better 👍🏻

Not to be pedantic, but he really didn’t landed in the middle of the chassis. It was almost as far back as possible before hitting the wheels. Almost kind of like he hit it on the exact perfect spot for survivability. Edit: he does clarify exactly what I said later in the vid, I pulled the trigger a lil early, admit my wrong.

In many ways yes it is because the plastic has a lot of flex and is super light weight. When landing on concrete it will absorb the shock a lot better than a metal chassis. 👍🏼
The buggy style chassis will always be susceptible to chassis over flex (unless it's titanium) the traxxas xmaxx style chassis has done well and stood the test of time. That said, I don't buy traxxas but I also don't bash so hard that I fold buggy style chassis, but I'm also a machinist so when its time to create a titanium chassis ill just machine one. As well where I run my rigs, 1/5 scale is just too big, ive had big rigs in the past and just can't find good places to run them. For the past few years I've been fine with my 1/8 scale mt 410. Zero complaints with my tekno stuff.

Waiting on arms and shocks now for mine. Front passenger tire clipped a log. Kid driving on 50% throttle setting and trigger pulled maybe half way 😂 Don’t see me spending enough none to make the outcast durable but we’ll see. It’s very fun.
That's why Traxxas uses plastic, some people hear all plastic and they think it's cheap but the plastic they use is actually stronger than metal sometimes, if that was an Arma with a metal chassis you would have bent the heck out of the chassis.
Hey Rocky⚡ great this new spot 👍 Driving ninja with your 2 RCs was amazing 💪⚡⚡⚡Sacred slap with the XRT and nothing is abused! This but happened with my XMAXX and after 3 attempts essential damage! Central ski chipped, twisted transmission tube and pinion crown out of order! But on the XRT the mounting of the rear bulkhead includes the fixing of the engine so the between teeth has less risk of moving I think I know an improvement compared to the Xmaxx. Keep pounding it dude until it breaks let's know the weak points but so far this truck is awesome out of the box 💪👍 it was great to have you guys marooned with it your mother 🤩🙏🤘

Both trucks are very durable. But it took a lot of money to make the O8S durable like that. Out of the box, the stock chassis would have been bent on the first jump. I love my Outcast 8s and EXB K8S, but they have cost me a lot of money to make them durable. Thanks for the video! I would still take the Xmaxx and XRT over the Arrma trucks because they are so much easier to upgrade and way less expensive to maintain.
You know he makes sence, can't argue but I still love my M2Cified Arrma's for different reasons. Both win, RC Community wins because we have options now for another great big Truggy👍

Nice bashing. Wish I had the time to be out more often. I'm really looking at this XRT but I've never been a Traxxas fan. Even when the T-Maxx came out I got the Savage lol. Seems like Traxxas fan boys stay loyal and all others have a mixed bag of brands. I admit, I have 3 Slashes for my boys but that's only because the HPI Blitz wasn't available lol.
Very nice skate park and landings :-) XRT survives a lot, including this one on the edge. This Sledmaxx called XRT looks one of the most durable Traxxas trucks out of the box. Its shame that Traxxas does not sell any rollers. XRT for half price as a roller would be a bestseller, put there any older or own electronic from some older truck...

It's great truck I used it next to Maxx, Traxxas is less maintenance but never will out perform the arrmas for experienced drivers and twice the price . I may get this xrt it's not just a hunk of plastic needing another grand to perform like it's brother xxmaxx

For whoever sees this, the 8s outcast is available for 582$ shipped on eBay still which i think is a steal for a truck that competes with 1000$+ trucks. Also nice driving on the XRT, it seems like it backflips just fine with the proper driver 😂

Old Outcast kicked that a#& bro no doubt at all, 100% the xrt took a hit that would have killed any big RC, that was impressive, but the Outcast clearly handled better and that was not just you pushing the Outcast more.... Even Momma agreed. Both did amazing, in a perfect world get both, but the Outcast SHOULD do better here as it's a stunt truck.. Maybe not for durability in the Skatepark.... It would have to be something glued in there with an epoxy weld. It broke last video on such a small miniscule landing that there's no way it was a durability test. So a bit of shame shame on the thunder for being so quick to turn your back on the car you once said was your favorite 😉 😜 No doubt everything else about your assessment is totally fair though! They’re both nice. I have had lots of cars from almost every brand and traxxas is the best. I like associated to. Tamiya has some epic designed cars also.
Great video! XRT looks really good. Outcast still living up to being a great truck. Traxxas are great when you keep them stock power/weight. If you plan on upgrading power plant have to go with Arrma, the internals just handle the power without issue. Breaking a plastic piece is what it is, but gears breaking is so frustrating. Gonna have to give traxxas another go here with that xrt. Looks awesome!

Nice bashing. Wish I had the time to be out more often. I'm really looking at this XRT but I've never been a Traxxas fan. Even when the T-Maxx came out I got the Savage lol. Seems like Traxxas fan boys stay loyal and all others have a mixed bag of brands. I admit, I have 3 Slashes for my boys but that's only because the HPI Blitz wasn't available lol.

Very nice skate park and landings :-) XRT survives a lot, including this one on the edge. This Sledmaxx called XRT looks one of the most durable Traxxas trucks out of the box. Its shame that Traxxas does not sell any rollers. XRT for half price as a roller would be a bestseller, put there any older or own electronic from some older truck...

It's great truck I used it next to Maxx, Traxxas is less maintenance but never will out perform the arrmas for experienced drivers and twice the price . I may get this xrt it's not just a hunk of plastic needing another grand to perform like it's brother xxmaxx

For whoever sees this, the 8s outcast is available for 582$ shipped on eBay still which i think is a steal for a truck that competes with 1000$+ trucks. Also nice driving on the XRT, it seems like it backflips just fine with the proper driver 😂

Absolutely loved this video, very Fair comparison and hard bashing feedback on these two Beasts, after the XRT got done I was like, "No way the Outcast is gonna outdo that"..... Old Outcast kicked that a#& bro no doubt at all, 100% the xrt took a hit that would have killed any big RC, that was impressive, but the Outcast clearly handled better and that was not just you pushing the Outcast more.... Even Momma agreed. Both did amazing, in a perfect world get both, but the Outcast SHOULD do better here as it's a stunt truck.. Maybe not for durability in the Skatepark.... And honestly I'm surprised that bulkhead exploded yesterday, maybe it was already weak? But regardless this new XRT is a FORCE 😍😍

Oh and my brother, I just wanted to give you a bit of a friendly reprimand hermano to hermano that you kind of ripped the outcast an undeserved hole last time when it broke on a very simple jump... after you have beat the crap out of that thing for so long that what screw could possibly not have backed out over the amount of abuse you've put it through? It would have to be something glued in there with an epoxy weld. It broke last video on such a small miniscule landing that there's no way it was a durability test. So a bit of shame shame on the thunder for being so quick to turn your back on the car you once said was your favorite 😉 😜 No doubt everything else about your assessment is totally fair though! And certainly not taking a single shred of the well-deserved impressive performance from the XRT! They’re both nice. I have had lots of cars from almost every brand and traxxas is the best. I like associated to. Tamiya has some epic designed cars also.
Great video! XRT looks really good. Outcast still living up to being a great truck. Traxxas are great when you keep them stock power/weight. If you plan on upgrading power plant have to go with Arrma, the internals just handle the power without issue. Breaking a plastic piece is what it is, but gears breaking is so frustrating. Gonna have to give traxxas another go here with that xrt. Looks awesome!
