I really liked the twist Liz had put on the monthly subscription box and I was intrigued to see what I would get. I loved the whole experience and I would highly recommend treating yourself. Lovely dress! I have only once signed up to a similar thing, but it was 4 packages only , each for one of the 3 weeks before Christmas and on Christmas. I did love the idea, but the colors and some of the qualities of the fabrics were not really my thing. I love not knowing what you get and the surprise of it, but for now I won’t buy them again, as I also have a big enough fabric stash already 🙈..
Such a pretty dress! Interestingly, the background color on my monitor is a dark jade green! Or maybe it’s just my eyes. 😉

Cool, so nice to see this fabric made up, I was pondering over it just the other night, not that I needed any as I found some gorgeous Cotton lawn at M Rosenberg when at the Festival of Quilts last weekend. The fit of the dress is such a testament to your sewing skill. I too like the idea of a mystery box but with full time work, twice yearly would be enough, the real incentive for me as an improving novice in sewing clothes, since being a teen, 80s, is the Zoom support for fitting. Invaluable at the price!

I had been looking at this box a while ago. Might need to treat myself.
I really love the dress and the fabric! 😍 So far, I haven't come across mystery/subscription boxes within Germany to avoid expensive shipping and customs - and I'm not looking for a reason! I also think that I'm a bit too picky with my colours and prints. There's a lot out there that I think is pretty, but would never wear myself for one reason or another, so I'd rather grow my stash from the shops and the fabric market.

This is similar to the first dress I ever made in 1961. . . and silly me, comfort was never a consideration. This fabric is flattering on you but I wouldn’t have considered it either. Nice surprise.

The anticipation and surprise when opening it is such fun!
I made a few silly fitting mistakes on my version of this dress, despite Liz’s help - not her fault I’m still a relative newbie, so am going to pick it up again.
I like the idea of the front bow and am going to make it removable.
Though I might leave this project until the Spring now because of the fabric colours. 🤔
Need to make some Autumn appropriate clothes!
Now my hols are over I can get stuck into sewing again... 😜

the only drawback I see is that there are some of us cannot wear a style with such a defined waist.
I wouldn’t sign up for a mystery box simply because I like to pick my own fabric and patterns.
