The best teacher online for me .. Thanks for your generous teachings .. you could perhaps name it autumn embrace , as the trees are softly embracing the pathway

***** ...it's coming along wonderfully...I enjoyed every brushstroke...for a title..."Birch Grove," I think sounds nice...thanks for taking us along and sharing your thoughts..
The golden hues of fall are beautiful...I can smell the leaves and walk down the path and just look at those birches for hrs....The birch bark looks so realistic as The leaves...

Just found you today.....recovering from tendon reconstruction of my ankle. Have painted on and off over the last 15 years and you have built a little fire in my belly to get the oils and brushes out sooner than later and get to work. Like you, I prefer to paint scenery so found your helpful hints quite intriguing. Will continue to watch.......thanks.....Roxanne from Montana

Thanks Michael for the very informative video.you must have such patience and generosity of spirit to set this all up for us.
I use oils at the moment but I have also some alkyds ( which are oils of course ) so I will give them another try on smooth primed panel.
Hope you can continue with your advice Michael, and keep painting those amazing pictures !

    Hi Michael
Another inspirational painting segment; watching them is like having a front row seat in an 'old masters' atelier.
I admire the way that you're able to create such a wonder picture but keep searching inside yourself, hoping to attain an even higher level by being self-critical: it's probably what keeps you motivated!
Over the years have you sought to model yourself on anyone else in particular or has your style come from self-invention?
Thank you once again for your postings on youtube in 2016 and look forward to the coming year.
Have a merry Xmas and happy New Year.
How about "Birch Boulevard" for your title!
    Best wishes
    Nick Harvey

How about "Silver Birch Trees With Colorful Leaves"? Anyway, another great video. I still don't get how you seem to mix the right color mix so fast. It seems like you mix a color really fast and it's accurate in color and tone and ready to go on canvas just like that. I thought it's supposed to be hard to get the right tones and colors throughout a picture, but you seem to mix it in half a minute and just pop it right on canvas and it's done and accurate. Haha, you really do make it all look easy. Do you think you could ever make an in depth video about how you mix colors on the palette and get the tones and colors so accurate? Like how you adjust a color mix to get the right hue, value, and chroma?

good point. I think every artist has a point where the art work isn't going well. My art teacher called it the Valley of the suck... starts off great then bumb bumb bummm- You hit the suck. You just have to work your way passed it to get out of the valley... I think many people that are first learning art will stop at this point.

Hello, first you give a hand in acrylic paint and then you go to paint the oil?
To all your punctures, or is it just some?
Le das una mano de pinturas acrílicas y después pintas en óleo?
A todos tus cuadros, o solo es a algunos?

Hi, Michael, I'm a fairly recent subscriber because yours is one of the most helpful painting channels on TH-cam. I am wondering about your use of thicker paint for your finish layer and does it violate the rule of 'fat over lean'? Or does your previous use of Luiquin negate that rule? I'm still trying to understand mediums. I know this is an older video and you may not see this. But here's hoping. Thanks.

Do you have any experience with recording when its dark outside? I cant get a good shot of my painting setup with room light. The wet paint reflects the light if i put the light source too close and if i put it too far away its too dark for the camera. If i use the camera in daylight it has a good hd quality but without it its realy hard to achieve. I tried to google for solutions but cant realy find anything, maybe anyone here has experience and tips for that, thanks!

    • @joyepittura
      @joyepittura 8 ปีที่แล้ว

DDabeisein Istalles hi, I would think having overhead lighting would resolve this...I read having one iridescent and one fluorescent....or light that mimics daylight....they can be overhead or above one on each side above your canvas by a few feet...
