What if I want to off a led with 5v.
I mean,
I have a LED of 5v and one of its sides has a transistor connected with emitter & collector. What I want to do is when there no supply available to the base, the light should be on but if the base gets connected to +ve the light should be off.

Hello. Can you please upload a timer circuit with 2 adjustments? 1 for OFF time and one for ON time
Place the LED between collector and emitter pin and and this will be turn on circuit..

ERROR noted. What was built shows the capacitor between the Base & Emitter. The schematic is an example of a RC timing circuit and shows the Base is only connected to one end of the 100k resistor. When the switch is closed, the capacitor charges instantly. When the switch is released, the cap will slowly discharge through the 100k resistor and the base/emitter junction, keeping the light on till the base/emitter junction voltage drops below 0.6V. To have longer time delays, use a N-Channel MOSFET.

Just buy couple of 2200uf caps and parallel one bu one capacitor as long delay you need
