    UPDATE: Google just changed how GA4 tags are managed in Google Tag Manager. GA4 configuration tag is no longer available. Learn more about the update here th-cam.com/video/1POi1BZxXwg/w-d-xo.html

    Thanks for another super helpful video, Julius! There's a tricky thing in GA4 a lot of people talk about but I haven't seen any good explanation yet: the issue of unmatched numbers when summing sessions by default channel group and the total session number shown in GA4 (total session count by default channel is lower than the displayed total session number). It would be truly useful if you made a video explaining this🙏

    Thank you for this. Excellent lesson. Question: Will the tag capture email links from all my pages on the website?

    • @AnalyticsMania
      @AnalyticsMania  ปีที่แล้ว

      With this setup, yes. Everywhere where GTM is installed

    Hii Julius!
    Following you for long time.
    Thank you for the regular videos on GA4 & GTM.
    Could you please make the video on the recent update on GA4 AMP and how to implement through GTM.
    Thanks

    Thanks very good videos, you have on the topics,
    One thing i dont like about GA4, is the reports i want to make
    a full overview over my KPI, and Conversion.
    Do you recommand anything like Google Data studio?
    Or can it be dont in a good way in GA4?
    Thanks

    Super useful! Thank you, Julius!
    Julius, please tell me, what can be the reason if I can't see the event name "mailto_link-click"? I named this event the way you had done in the video, however, my event is named just "click"

  • @perrybernard-rankpower

    Why do this double collection when GA4 Enhanced collection already receives the data as the click event and can be segmented inside GA4?

    Thanks Julius, this is super helpful. I would like to know if you need to do this all in GTM first, or can you load the event only in google analytics, where you define the event parameters as 1. event = "link_click", 2. click_url starts with "mailto:" ie why do you need to use GTM in the first place? Really appreciate all you do, thank you again.

    Hello, Julius, Do you know why the total number of users in my GA4 report is less than the number of new users,Thanks!

    One of the big problems users will find with click tracking on contact numbers, email links and WhatsApp links are that they only show the initial click and not the completion of the task thereafter e.g. a user clicks the link, the event fires but the user does not complete the action (actually going ahead with emailing, calling etc.). It may also occur with bots. So it may never be that accurate. I'm not sure if you've found a workaround to get closer to an accurate count of clicks to the completion of the action, Julius? - for bots, because they interact with links so fast, could you create a combined/group trigger with a timer? (So not counting the event unless 10s have passed)?
    Look forward to your thoughts.
    Thank you for all the great tutorials, super useful!

    Can this data be brought into Looker Studio for reports via GA4 data source? Do you have a video in regard to this?

    Julius, I can not solve a important thing on Google Ads and I really don't understand.
    My tag is fired, it's ok and shows succeded in Google Tag Manager, but is not okay, and not fired on Google Ads at "conversions", it shows unverified. This tag is similar another one I'm using right now with the same triggering (history changes), this another one is working well.
    Do you have ideia what's going on, please?

    • @AnalyticsMania
      @AnalyticsMania  ปีที่แล้ว

      The actual conversion must happen. An ad must be clicked and then the conversion must happen

    • @Costinha1906
      @Costinha1906 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AnalyticsMania , is there chance to have any influence with the conversion linker?
      Note: I'm doing this through Google Ads in "create conversions" and setting up this conversion as "contact".
