@@murray1978 Well "drenched in blood" may not have been her exact words but I do remember her saying he would come home with blood on his hands and shoes.
Would like to see a DSOTR episode on Robert "Jeep" Swenson. Wrestled for WCW as The Final Solution (because that's not a horrible name for a wrestler), roided himself to the gills to the point where he couldn't put on a shirt, get in the shower or climb the stairs, and ended up on playing Bane in the original Batman and Robin movie from 1997 sharing the screen with Schwarzenegger, Clooney and Uma Thurman. Died at 40 from a massive heart attack after years of telling people he needed help getting off the gas
They showed a newspaper headline about the police station bombing that said “Police Say ‘Christmas Miracle’ That No One Killed in Bombing”, (or something similar) so it seems like nobody lost their life in that one.
I remember Johnny K-9 on J.O.B. Squad detail as far back WWF Championship and All-Star Wrestling days around early to mid-1986. Gorilla Monsoon would occasionally comment on K-9's unusual ring introduction antics. The last time I remember seeing him in the WWF was a Maple Leaf Gardens match against Sam Houston.
Having not heard of him before, I cannot tell you how strange it was watching this finding out a lot of this happened in my hometown Hamilton. Like if anything happens, its usually in Toronto which is like a hour drive from Hamilton
Solomon missed the part where Bruiser Bedlam's MC buddy said that he could've been that Hogan guy coz he loved the attention. Lol This episode goes to show that some of the toughest guys in real life were the jobbers. Still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Marty Jannety beat an MC Club President.
The entire time watching this, I kept thinking, would he be an excellent fit for ECW starting up? Since Corny ha to let him go, he could have been a huge win for Heyman early on. Might have gave him steady employment unil the last days when he bounced checks for Taz and such.
Had no idea who this guy was going into this also like last week's episode on FMW deathmatch wrestling it's one of the episodes im least likely to go back and watch i thought the bit on Randy Savage coming down to Smokey mountain wrestling just to put over a guy who was nowhere near a big name/star as him was cool just shows you how generous and selfless Savage was behind the scenes RIP Macho.
Lance Storm is a great talking head for anything wrestling related. He is always thoughtful, free-thinking and offers a great deal of insight. It is a crime that Lance didn't become a big star. But he seems perfectly fine with it.
I think the reason he didn’t become a bigger star is not just because he had a very stoic personality, but also because I’ve heard from Hannibal TV that he is a scumbag in real life
@@user-vj9qz3br6l That has got to be one of the most ridiculous things I have read online. Lance Storm is a bit reserved and has a dry sense of humour - and JBL and Bob Holly didn't like that he spoke the truth - but I have never heard of him being called anything close to a scumbag. In my (very limited) contact with him he has always been perfectly nice.
About time Solomonster I been waiting for this, you can’t be late with your Dark side of the ring reviews again because a lot of people are counting on it, you are the savior of the human race …..😂😂😂😂 love your podcast man you’re awesome
Strange....I watched that same mid-late 80's WWF all the time and I have zero memories of him either. And I recognize a lot of the jobber names when I hear them.
Wife: "He never killed anyone. Sure there were some nights he would come home drenched in blood that wasn't his own but he never killed anyone."
DId she say that?

@@murray1978 i never said drenched in blood even ONCE smh
I’m sure his first words were, “It’s okay buddy.”

I’m guessing Tommy Dreamer will not be doing anymore guest appearances on future DSOTR Episodes … 🤷🏿♂️
I doubt it lmao
I enjoy the new nickname I saw somewhere "Innovator of Silence".

I mean considering Bane got buff off of his Venom juice and had trouble getting off it, you really couldn't find a better guy to play him XD
@@paulmoore5392 indeed lol
The look of K9 and Jeep, the look insanely similar, even had the bald look and the mustache. Massive roid belly's too
Bro this episode was interesting! He seemed like a legit bad ass from what I saw!!
This episode must've been a TREAT for the Dark Side guys to film.

Still not sure how I feel about this guy. Person who came off like a champ to me tho was Macho Man Randy Savage. God Bless that man

These Dark Side of the Ring Episodes are more Entertaining than a 3 hour Edition of WWE Monday Night Raw even with Big E as Champion … 👀
Watching dog poop turn white is more entertaining than a 3-hour addition of Monday night raw
Awww look an aew mark
You though Big E would be the big change they needed to turn things around? Lol. New Day has been stale going on four years now

Man, Solomonster I couldn't care less about this before listening. You tell a heck of a story. You even bring interest to Raw. 🤮
I once saw some footage of Luna Vachon training women for wrestling. She seemed so kind, patient and gentle.
Let's get her in that HoF.

The Bombing of the police station made me laugh when I watched the episode
