    Thank you Dr. for sharing knowledge. I need know the reference for Standard Chemical Exergy, Is it available for every element? Thank you once again.

      Hi. These values are available in the literature. Please check for your relevant system. Cheers!

    Hope you’re doing well sir, what if some of the mole fraction in vapor phase and some in liquid phase what should I do in this case? Should I go with the overall fraction?

    Thank your Dr. Haris, does this approach apply to every component, like expander, valves, Hx etc?

    • @aspenchemchannel
      @aspenchemchannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the approach will remain the same. However, the formula for each equipment will be different but overall exergy in and exergy out to be calculated. Hope that clarifies. Cheers!

    Dear sir it's not a relevant question but I want to ask can I simulate reverse osmosis plant in Aspen?
    Looking forward for your kind reply

      Dear Ansub,
      Unfortunately, reverse osmosis plajt is not available in the Aspen. However, if anyone want to simulate, he/she may need to build that module using Aspen Custom Modeler, and then exporting it to the Aspen Plus for onward use.

    hi, I have a question, if possible, please answer
    1- In the answer that aspen Plus gives for exergy, is it only physical exergy, i.e. enthalpy and entropy, or does it include work and heat as well(except chemical)?
    2- If it does not include work and heat, how should exergy loss formulation be done for the reactor when the numbers of work and heat become negative?

    • @aspenchemchannel
      @aspenchemchannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Aspen only gives values of Physical exergy. For chemical exergy, they haven't yet added a feature. So, for this, you may use manual calculations to proceed.

    Another question, can I use the standard chemical exergy for components if my inlet stream is not at standard conditions?

    Sir ,
    How to perform exergy analysis for expander ?
    Is it same process ??

    • @aspenchemchannel
      @aspenchemchannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. The formula for calculation will be W/(Ein-Eout) * 100

      I think you are talking about exergy value. The data is easily available in the literature.

    How to enter an ejector in aspen hysys

  • @mohammedal-ageel3050

    Hysys has reported the exergy at standard conditions but we still need the same at the actual conditions for physical exergy calculation. can we meet online for further discussions?

    • @aspenchemchannel
      @aspenchemchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your conditions are the same as that of the standard, then exergy will be zero for that particular stream. For rest of the process streams, the exergy values will be as per the required conditions.

    • @mohammedal-ageel3050
      @mohammedal-ageel3050 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aspenchemchannel yes, I agree on the zero exergy and if I understand you correctly that hysy has given the final answer of the calculation in which standard conditions and input conditions are considered.
      Regarding chemical exergy, some articles state that it is zero if no chemical reaction. What is your opinion?

    • @aspenchemchannel
      @aspenchemchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Chemical exergy is also applicable once there is a separation in the system. So, almost all industrial processes involve separation, even if very few of them don't involve the reaction. Therefore, in my opinion, it is better to use chemical exergy along with the physical exergy.
