Great video. I've looked at getting some stuff from Gamma Spectacular. They have some neutron detectors that might be fun.

Thanks man! Yeah the neutron stuff definitely looks fun! Would love to dive deeper into the topic!

Wonderful video. What do You think about SrI2 scintillation crystals?

I don’t have any experience with them actually but they seem like an interesting option, on first glance similar to LaBr3 in terms of resolution. If I ever get one, I’ll definitely be making an update

You should message me if you're interested in borrowing other types of radiation detection equipment, I have a large collection. My email is in my channel description.

I have radiacode its fantastic gamma spectometer that finds also beta radiation!!!

It’s amazing how small and compact such devices are getting!
I don’t think it can detect beta radiation very well. Maybe some hard betas but definitely not a lot and not as well as a Geiger muller detector. Same goes for my BetterGeiger S-2 and RAYSID. Those devices are basically gamma only

@@allRadioactiveyeah that sounds about right, no alpha wouldn’t even make it thru the case and maybe some hard betas but it’s a gamma spectrometer Csl(Ti) and GAGG for the 103G
