It took me a long time to understand what the standard pathway in AMC really was. When I was preparing for this journey, it was difficult to find a simple and comprehensive guide to AMC.
I have tried my best to compile the information. Ofcourse, there is a lot more to it. But let's start one step at a time.

Thank you for this wonderful video , it was very informative. I have currently cleared plab 1 which can be used as a replacement for amc 1 as per the website. Now I have 2 years of internship experience, what would be the prospect of getting a job after amc 2?

Heard imgs do that but not very common.
Most join as an RMO which is post internship

Hi doc i wanted to ask you as i am Indian passport holder but did my graduation from china is it necessary to have license in any of the countries to appear for amc. Because i heard that we need to have permanent registration in any one country
I also want to know this.
The only thing that matters in ur medschool and mbbs degree should be recognised by ecfmg.

Amc and fmge are completely separate entities. Not correlated at all.
Need ECFMG verification of your medical school degree. Your med school should be in the list of ecfmg recognised med schools. If not in the list, there is a way ur medschool has to liaise with ecfmg. Need to read the steps. I haven’t read it thoroughly before.
Need recognised registration (anywhere) if you have worked post internship.
Sir should I start my amc preperation now , as i am going to step into the med school this year????

Hi Neetu, my suggestion would be not to prepare for the exams right now as it is too early . Your focus should be on enjoying the journey of your medschool and embrace every new challenge. I would suggest you to do some study of the pathways after MBBS in different websites and youtube videos.

This is a very individualised question with no direct answer.
I think This is something you will have to discuss with the hospital after job selection and I cannot make any assumptions at this stage.

Can I do pg from Australia after clearing AMC part 1 examination
Hi Amit,
Hope you are doing good.
There is a different concept of PG here as compared to India or other home countries. Here ,it is called training programs.
So after AMC exams, you will work as an RMO for 1-2 years, then take the exam for the training pathway and get enrolled into a training program.

I did standard pathway.
I will upload my next video on the costs involved.
Can’t really say which is easier or better or affordable.
But standard pathway is direct pathway to Australia, whereas competent authority pathway is an indirect pathway, which involves costs of working/ living atleast a year in UK, and then transitioning to Australia.

Yes, but u should make sure you have “recency of practice “ which is a desirable but not necessity for job.
If recency not possible , then go for cpd activities and Amc clinical

Recency of practice means you are having ongoing clinical work
CPD Activities are online courses with cpd points that can sometimes work if someone has clinical year gap.

Someone like me who has not taken INICET , can’t answer this question.

Really depends on ur choice.
I did amc 1 on my own, did amedex q bank subscription.
There are many tutors too . First aid and Emergency focus are relatively cheaper.
