  • What's up guys!
Here's something you don't see enough of. I've tried to find some feedback on the benefits of running DWS on a grip setup for the AWD platform. Unfortunately, I've only really been able to find drift applications for this type of suspension... So I decided to do the testing myself. I hope this helps you guys out if your on the fence about the DWS setup. Keep in mind guys, this is only the base test. We may tweak the car a bit and see if we can improve this setup.
    THANKS FOR WATCHING!

So far you are the only to have tested the double wish bone suspension. Thank you for doing that

I am another proponent of racing the MA-020. For new drivers, the AWD is much easier to control and to learn on. On my Mini-96 sized track, I'm both faster and more consistent with AWD than RWD. One other thing that you might consider is swapping out the 8500kv motor in the Evo MA-030 with Kyosho's 4100kv motor. That makes a really sweet setup on home tracks.

Yes, the ma020 will work great for a mini 96. It does well on slower speeds and tight turns.. but when you put the same cars on a larger track, that's where you see the gap in performance between the mr03 and ma020. I don't think the ma020 will ever be as competitive at a proper sized track. But they're a lot of fun to drive though!
As far as the evo goes... I wanted to compare stock vs stock. At my local track, that 8500kv is a ripper! I'd actually be able to gear up as I'm topping the car out on the straight lol. For a home track, though, the 4100 would be sick for sure.

@@musthavewheels My MA-03F (converted to AWD & 4100kv) was chattering so badly it finally broke one of the steering knuckles. For grins, I put in 2 degree knuckles, and that helped, but going to softer springs (first front only, then front and rear) made a world of difference. I think you are on the right track with camber and spring rate changes. The DWS has lots of adjustability, which can be a curse or a blessing.
I've been out of RC racing (or even rc driving) for so long that I'm starting completely over.

@@alvinboey4303 I believe you can still get these. They have slots in the tiles that can be raised and used for jumps. They were meant for the mini z buggies
