Blame the people of New York. They decided that these people can't be thrown in jail so they live on the street. My only shock about this is that it happened in Manhattan, where all the rich people of the city live.
Man, Kiara's career this whole time has been starting out all super nervous and extroverted and everyone else acting shy and distant, and then one by one by one they all become Kiara-pilled and get to know her and become best buddies and every time she's like "omg they don't hate me after all it was all in my head" hahah it's such a lovely journey.
LOL, Weed smell and people OD'ing on the street in NY? Not surprised, but going to CA, Los Angeles they got NY beat. Still glad all the girls had a good time and were safe.
I'm a bit surprised she ran into more people ODing on H than booze. By far the most common hard drug I see people publically overdosing on is alcohol. It's comparatively rare to run into other varieties of addicts.
@@kirbyjoe7484 When you see people OD'ing on H, its different....they look like literal zombies hunched over 90 degress while standing in place....its insane looking and sad and you can see them all day/night. The subway looks kind of grimy, but that's not uncleanliness, it's just a byproduct of the fact that the subway is 100 years old and there's just a natural accumulation of dirt that occurs over time. But in terms of things that people think of as explicitly unclean, like urine on the ground or a huge amount of litter, it's actually pretty tidy.
I was there in March and yeah, the subways are dingy as hell lol. I've been to all the top 10 biggest cities in the US and several cities in Japan and NY is by far the grungiest of them all (though LA is close). I don't at all see what people love about NYC I'd rather visit Chicago.
11:47 This is the biggest issue that a lot of professional streamers face, especially the larger ones: not being able to tell who is a real friend and who is just faking it for the camera. But the simple answer is the same for big streamers as it is for regular people in the real world: a friend is someone who still hows up when things get hard. The casual acquaintances and hangers-on will vanish. Your friends will be the ones who stick around when there's nothing in it for them. A friend is someone who will actually sacrifice, incur hardship and even damage to their own interests, just to support you when you really need it. This, sadly, is not very common in the streaming world. It's why "streamers are terrible people" has been a meme for years.
Eh, I think Kiara just wants to be liked and needs the validation openly on occassion. Kronii and Ame are the type to not express their affection openly or in general so they can be hard to read for someone like her. I think the "true friends" thing is too black and white. Just being friends is as simple as enjoying hanging out. In my experience, there are some people who will always flake and fall short when things get rough. It's less a true friend thing, and more a poor personality thing. You can still be friends with those people, but you dont have to be close if that bothers you. At the same time, you can't expect people to bend the world for you, for every crisis. Everybody has shit going on. But, expecting others to sacrifice for you, particularly if you haven't done anything for them, is unfair I think. As for the streamers stereotype, I think it's a profession that naturally attracts selfish and narcissistic people, who unsurprisingly tend to be bad friends.
@@muinarc0 She must have low self-esteem then.Maybe she doubts her skills and herself and the validation is not only a way to know she did something right, but also to know that she "isn't a screw up".

She ended up loving it. Even went by herself to see a second Broadway show. Does crazy stuff happen? Sure. Is it a bit dirty at times, yeah. But consider everyday folks are commuting by train, bus walking to work etc... and we are fine.
It can be very funny having a pleasant day in NYC, hanging in Central Park, doing some shopping, etc. and then hear people describe it as some sort of Mad Max Hellscape.

Yea if it was like years ago before covid, you wouldn't have weed dispensary but a lot has changed since. There are a lot of regulations they put in place later on such as x mile distance away from parks/schools/etc but some decide to take their business mobile instead of a storefront, in part, due to cost of the commercial space as well
Americans are funny, people who've lived their whole lives in some suburb in Arkansas will speak about places like New York and LA like they're some war torn apocalyptic hell hole, but then you go there and it's just a normal city. Bigger and louder maybe, but at the end of the day the same as every other concrete jungle. Trust me, I travel a lot, it's VERY easy to tell how much worse NYC and LA are compared to someplace like Miami. Biggest thing I noticed on my visit to NYC for BD?
