People should be nice but she does need to just ignore the bad comments and get mods to remove the really bad ones. Just ignore it or tell chat too calm down don't take things so personally. If she knows she can't handle comments about playing a game badly then she already knows what games she shouldn't play. Like if she is getting stressed in a game talk to chat about calming down, mods time out people, like you don't need to just quit

Honestly understandable, part of the reason why I stopped playing competitive games or online games in general was just because of how demoralizing it can get when you mess up and people flame at you, though that's prolly on me for expecting everyone to be chill at something they're passionate about. Now I just stick to JRPGs and chill after work on em instead w/ my frens in vc, best decision ever

If you care about those comments then you going to end up quitting everything you love to do. She needs to prioritize what she likes and wants to do because regardless what she does there will be always people who won't like it. So focus on what she likes and those that like that as well. The only way to deal with mean comments is by ignoring them. Acknowledge them will only make them continue, telling them to stop won't work either because they won't listen, and banning them all will only start an endless and tiring "war" with trolls and their multiple accounts. Just ignore them and focus on the majority that supports you and bring positivity.

I think there's a way to act mutually for both perspectives. I came across Irys's stream playing Call Of Duty a few weeks ago, and as a hardcore COD player ofc I felt frustrated watching Irys being airhead about the gameplay & the story. The solution: I skipped the live stream & watch the VOD afterwards, and if I can't take it, I'll fast forward or simply stop watching. This saves the trouble/frustration for both sides. As a hardcore COD fan ofc I'll shake my head seeing her being bad at the game, but I'm well aware that she's new to the game/genre so ofc she's gonna be slow in wrapping her heads around the gameplay/story. So yeah, you just need to walk away if you don't like it, instead of losing temper or trying to backseat people in the chat. People deserve to experience new things at their own pace & most importantly have fun.

Well, it's inevitable for any streamer or TH-camr in general, but, I know for sure that 90% of the people watching are not doing this type of behavior, is only like 10% who do these things and at the end of the day you gotta ignore them/ban/time out, having good mods helps a lot too, that's all there is to it. I feel like the streamer gotta know that is just a small part of the viewers that are that way and the vast majority is supportive and move on and enjoy whatever they are playing/doing it, otherwise there are many things that the streamer and the fans will prevent themselves from experiencing because of this small percentage of people. Also, when it comes to game content, it depends on from girl to girl you can clearly see the girls who are more "gamers" in hololive, not necessarily good in games, but that love to play games and that is their major content they love to do, so when they play they automatically don't care about these 10% of people, a lot of girls in holo are not like that, and play only occasionally some games, which is fine, but then when they try to play some more demanding game they get overwhelmed, they themselves get too self-conscious and anxious, and I guess it gets easier for them to see the bad comments passing by, even if few, instead of the thousand of good/supportive comments.

Biboo i'd tell she sucks because she holds herself to a higher standard when playing souls games. She understands its roasting with love and a type of encouragement. But most of these girls are casuals. You just dont roast a beginner in general. You just stfu, watch and comment with hints and tips when asked.

I don't get why chatters/commenters have to be this way. Reminds me of when people ruined Undertale for Markiplier. Even if you love a game so much, it's best to just let your content creator enjoy it freely, and that if they want help, they'll ask. People just can't stop backseating.

It sucks. The backseating continues even in the VOD comments in the form of humble bragging. I saw a comment asking why it took Biboo 200 attempts to kill Messmer, how he did it 30 attempts and he assumes it's the same for every souls players. As if every person doesn't approach a game differently. 🙄 Like come on. Biboo is handicapped. She's doing a hard boss while practicing for her 3D debut and the concert. She literally doesn't have any time to tinker with the DLC mechanics and new items before fighting a boss.

Backseaters suck

For me i think Backseating is a good thing to do if the streamer is stuck on something for too long. But not to the point were your CAPS LOCKING in the chat telling them what to do,you have to "guide" and not drill sergeant them feel me?

The closest I'll go to backseating is using hand motions relative to the streamer's view while watching a stream if they pass something important. Since they're not seeing it, it's non-intrusive. I save chatting for...well, chatting. Anyone trying to actively--and intrusively--handhold without being asked should know their place: away from all social media platforms.

Sucks that some people watching streams don't have the empathy and self-awareness to not put someone else down for not meeting their expectations. If they don't like what they see, they can simply leave the stream and find someone more experienced at the game without typing a discouraging message. It's also best to train the habit to not backseat streamers unless they ask for backseating.

Nah i mean they are both true, she sucks real hard at any game she plays almost to the point of being frustrating to watch yeah, but also people cry and bitch too much too. When that happens i just go and come back later when she's doing anything else other than games or watch some other talent on holo or any indie vtuber or an interesting video, or almost anything before going and complain or cry about it lol.

If you guys talk down to a streamer to where they don't want to play your favorite franchise anymore, that's on all of you. Streamers NEED to fail. Sometimes, the best way to learn something is through failure. If you spoil someone with the answers all the time takes more away from the experience than if it takes them awhile to achieve their "a-ha moment". If they ask for help, go ahead. If they're having trouble but they're not looking for help at the moment, leave them alone. Motivate them. Inspire them. Cheer for them. Step down from where you experience places you above, and be with them. Be encouraging. Keep them going no matter what. If the game is not for them after all, you can nod, and move on with them to the next game. You guys are good and mean well; that is why you can be better people and exhibit attitudes that improve for every stream experience. It's up to all of you to do your part.

Being a fan of a game, being excited a streamer is playing it, and then just being an ass to them is like planting a tree and then getting mad it grows. I was really looking forward to some more Resident Evil on Rissa's channel to see how she approaches that kind of horror. And that's just over.

I will never understand this people (backseaters). Ive felt at times that the quality or style of gameplay of some people wasnt to my enjoyment (it happened during the Elden Ring streams). You know what i did? I watched something else. No need to be an annoying prick or an asshole, just go watch other things.

Also streaming on TH-cam is notoriously tough to moderate. The tools just aren't there for it. Depending on the streamer, some Twitch channels curate their chats with the quickness. It leads to some quality vibing.

people who make these types of comments are also the first people to meta game and look up all the best strats, the best items, how to do everything, and how to beat everything the fastest/easiest, and can't fathom that other people just want to do it themselves.

I've seen this a lot on other members. although there's healthy line like making fun of pon moments or asking chat on how to do things etc but too much back sitting ruins the fun. just let them enjoy at their own pace

I don't blame Nerissa for deciding to play it in her own time. It's fun to just watch them play, learn, and I love it when they go off on tangents, but these who keep commenting on their gameplay suck and need to learn to shut up, we just want to enjoy them enjoy the game, maybe give off a tip here and there if they ask, but normally let's just enjoy the stream and have fun.
