The people of Florida know what comes with the territory. It's so bad in blue states that they are willing to deal with hurricanes in order to live in a free state like Florida or Texas where there is law and order.

@@seminolewind158Malenkovich Cycle. It's the cycle EARTH takes around the sun. Some years we are closer which means it will be hotter. Some years we are going to be further away which means it will be cooler on earth. This cycle matches up perfectly with ice core samples but the US govt climate community which takes in billion in govt funding won't tell us about the Malenkovich Cycle because it debunks the agenda started mainly by Al Gore. They hate it so much that the search engines have put the scientific studies and papers on page 1000.

Those "some reports" came from The National Hurricane Center who flew into the eye of the storm and measured 180 mph winds.
This wind speed is an official claim if it comes from the NHC.
    17:33
Also not true. In just the Atlantic Ocean, Milton is not #1 for the fastest intensification. That goes to Wilma of 2005.
Globally, the fastest intensification in terms of wind speed is Hurricane Patricia of 2015 in the Pacific Ocean.

About Helene sizes it would probably be in the top 30 worldwide for me and also Helene was the deadiest US storm since hurricane Katrina. And also about Milton one of it's tornadoes was reported to be 2 miles wide and if this thing was included in the tropical cyclones worldwide record it could be the largest tropical tornado worldwide.
Correction: true that the Northwestern Pacific basin are called Typhoon, but not in the Indian Ocean and South Pacific. Instead this two Ocean are called Cyclone😊.
But still they are just the same storm systems it just that they are called differently in the basins they are formed, it's like in the US cotton candy is what they're called, while the UK they are called candy flos.

Preparing for a storm is how we Floridians survived Ian. I was without power for almost 4 weeks after Ian hit. I can tell you I definitely was prepared for it, but I wasn’t expecting it to turn into and make landfall just NW of me in Cape Coral. Ian didn’t make landfall in Fort Myers as was said in this video. Believe me I know where it made landfall. I’m in NW Cape Coral and I was in the eye wall for at least 12 very long hours. The surge is what hurt Fort Myers more than anything, but they didn’t get a direct hit from Ian. Over 100 people perished just West of me on the barrier islands. Houses half a block from me were flattened from tornadoes that spawned out of Ian. I had 2 tornadoes about 5 minutes apart dancing in my yard and yes I heard them both. I still have PTSD from the sound of the high winds and from hearing things slamming into my home. I still have damage from Ian, with additional damage from Helene and Milton. FEMA only helps those who don’t have insurance. It’s a huge battle with insurance companies screwing people over in Florida whenever there’s any storm damage, yet our state’s government keeps allowing these insurance companies to get away with stealing our money.

I live in Florida and man Milton was crazy. Our neighbors who aren’t from Florida saw us board up our windows and asked if we could help them because they have never experienced hurricanes and knew it was serious when they saw us board up windows. Thankfully there was no flooding in my house some water got in here and there but it did so much destruction they are still picking up trees and many restaurants and gas stations are still closed. It was pretty scary I have a garage and the door was just banging because of the wind I couldn’t sleep it hit us really hard at around 2am I was afraid that garage door was going to pop off and just wind howling. Then seeing outside my window an explosion happening, so many flash flooding warning and even tornado warnings which is rare. The aftermath meaning everybody was outside cleaning up, you couldn’t drive too well because traffic lights on the streets, trees, power lines, it was bad mainly after we recently got hit with Helen.

Ian made landfall just northwest of Cape Coral, not Fort Myers. I know, because I rode out the inner eye wall for 12 very long hours with 150 mph winds and had two tornadoes dancing in my yard 5 minutes apart. I still have PTSD from that horrific storm!!
Also the tornadoes that happened from Milton were spun out far ahead of Milton, which was very rare. Usually tornadoes are spawned during the hurricane when it’s actually hitting, not well in advance of it making landfall. One touched down just west of me, while another hit a manufactured home park (trailer park) just northeast of me in north Fort Myers. I think they said it was an ef2 for the one that touched down in north Fort Myers.
Since I moved to Florida in 1999, I’ve experienced several hurricanes. Katrina, Rita, Wilma, Irma, Ian, Helene, and Milton, but tornadoes are very rare in Florida. Tornadoes rarely spin out that far ahead of any hurricane. That’s why Milton was so unusual and the path it had taken was extremely rare to come from the southwest of the Gulf of Mexico.
I know people that survived hurricane Andrew and they’ve said that Ian was by far worse than Andrew was.
The storm surges from Ian, Helene and Milton are by far worse than most people have seen who have been living in Florida for 20 years or more.
I joke and say my superpower is surviving hurricanes, but I don’t know many people who would ride them out alone as I have. Ian was by far the worst storm I’ve ever ridden out and what people do not understand is that if we evacuate that we cannot get back to our homes until the county clears us to be able to get back to our homes. In the meantime we worry about our homes being looted, so we stay to risk our lives to save everything we’ve spent our lives working for. To us it’s everything and a lot of us cannot afford to evacuate. Cape Coral only has 1 shelter open to house everyone and as soon as it fills up the lock everyone inside it. No one is allowed to leave or come in once it’s full. The same holds true to other shelters, so don’t ask us why we don’t evacuate. Just put yourselves in our situation for a change. Besides normally we don’t get storms as intense as they’ve been over the past 6 years.
The beauty of Florida far outweighs anywhere else I’ve ever lived. To those of us who live here, we live here for a reason. 🏝️ ☀️ 🌊 🐬 🐟 🛥️

Eh. Storm surge on Fort Myers Beach was 17-20 feet depending on where you were. I know, I was there. I had *second floor* windows which were smashed out by the storm surge, and my building is quite elevated compared to the surrounding area. Down the beach from me, Leonardo Arms had most of their 2nd floor units completely scraped clean by the storm surge, with water getting into the 3rd floor units.

Time stamp on its dashcam shows power transformers popping at 10:13pm in the distance and power failures starting at about 10:20pm due to a sub station going out. I think it's lights out around 10:31 when the power flashes on for about 2 seconds and the sub station flares again and that was it for power in the area for about 36hours.

I know of several people who had their homes completely destroyed. Living next to the water may be great for the view until a hurricane strikes. The town of Matlacha, pronounced Mat la shay, is pretty much wiped out. Drove on Manasota Key today and it is unbelievable how much destruction occurred. Only got to drive a few miles before the road was closed because of mountains of sand that had been pushed up and over the road. Please pray for everyone who was impacted by both of these storms.

I lived through strong earthquakes in Colombia and now 4 major hurricanes in Tampa, Fl and I gotta say hurricanes are far scarier, the damage radius far exceed any natural disasters and the fact that they pound state-sized areas for several hours is no joke. For Milton I evacuated 3 hours north from the eye to Gainesville and even there the howling winds kept me up all night almost into the morning.

I was having a discussion about these events, with a friend of mine a few days ago.
He is very religious, whereas I am not.
I mentioned that the insurance companies call these events, "an act of God."
He replied, "Yes, our Lord works in mysterious ways, but he still loves us."
To which I replied, "If that is the case, this Lord of yours must be a two-faced, vindictive asshole".
My response lit him up like a Roman candle and he became furious.
"It's people like you that make him angry!" he bellowed.
To which I replied "Well, how come my house and my family didn't suffer the wrath of one of his "acts/events?"
He then said, "Oh, you will, he listening to you and he will punish you!"
He then stomped off in a huff. I'm guessing I'm no longer on his friends list.
    It was an interesting day.
