Is there a site same as this but for europe?
@@Racoji We will add more regions soon.
today I got omen 16:) 6800h, rtx 3070ti (150w), 1tb, 16gb ram and 2k 165hz. just 950$ does it worth?
@@user-fi6sm9ut4bI've been looking for months at laptops and that price is the best value for money I've seen. With those specs it will rock for years to come.
@@JarrodsTech It would be amazing if India was included too if possible. It would be tremendously helpful
me still watching this video even though i cant buy any of them/
Stay strong and work hard brother. You will eventually will be able to buy your dream laptop/pc
Sadly very true . Prices are insane
Same. Been "looking" for the last two years, will probably cave when windows 10 reaches end of life
@@khalifa6413 its 9k usd
Work hard and save money. No need to hurry. I'm still using my hasswel pc and it's so old. I can buy a new laptop or pc anytime now. Just waiting for this old dinosaur to die lmao.
The best thing about these 2024 laptops are the price drops for the 2023 laptops 🎉.
I'm still waiting to see these ...
At least here in Europe
Seriously. Im trying to decide if I should get a cheaper 2023 Legion 7i or wait for black friday this year for the new gen
My gaming laptop is on life-support. The TUF 16 (2023) is looking my best option.
@@johnknoop42 waiting for new Gen might be one of the worst decisions you make this year, but 2023 model right now
Since serious gaming laptops are rarely used unplugged, I wouldn't mind manufacturers increasing thickness to beef up cooling.
yeah I have a steam deck...if i travel I'm just taking that an a tablet. Im looking forward to the lenovo pro models in march and april...Im leaving alienware behind after decades with them.
you should look into xmg oasis ready laptops, air coolers inside laptops can do only that much. so the solution found from xmg (don't know how effective that is) sounds way better
or just get a desktop
@@game9370x The XMG is with watercooling is not faster than a Lenovo pro 7i. It just is much more bearable noisewise...
@@GewelRealWhy?
Bro, the Razer Blades had so little change in specs, but they bumped the price up to 4k??? It's insane
4k? More like 5k
what cant afford it broke boy lol
@@roccoVALshut up troll
@@roccoVAL Yeh children dying over the world and your calling someone broke for not getting a 4k gaming laptop. Parents raised you well.
Amazing improvement on the XMG water cooling. Can’t wait to see manufacturers actually implement the air jet coolers.
Really interesting and very structurized video, thanks!!
Lenovo was a disappointment this year tbh😢
Why?
Dude the Loq and the Legion Pros aare such great laptops for such good prices wth do you mean?
LOQ display are getting downgraded for 2024 version in my country, but the cooling system and its design are getting better
Disagree.
I picked up a Lenovo Legion Slim 7i with an i9/rtx4070 and it's been incredible.
@@acardenasjr1340 If I understand right, there are no more Slim models (2024). If you got a Slim, then that's not 2024 model.
TheShinobiWorldYT talking about 2024 models are disappointment. Not the previous ones.
Your videos are amazing. I bought the scar 18 last year after reviewing the product based on your reviews and now Im excited to see how the 2023 scar 18 fares against the 2024 variant. Very excited for the comparison. :)
I can get scar 18 2023 version much cheaper now on ebay but not sure if 2024 version screen is a lot better
@@tomoblasz2028 screen will no doubt be better since it will support hdr and I think cpu tdp has been increased by like 10W. I'm waiting for the comparison video but so far imo it's better to either get the 2023 model or the next RTX 50 series or whatever they decide to call it. The display on the 2023 model extraordinary even without hdr. Heads up before you purchase though. It does not support DSR factors which is needed to play games at higher resolutions downscaled to 1600p or whatever resolution your monitor supports.
Also I had a really bad silicon lottery with the cpu. And had a few hiccups over the past like 7 months. My display suddenly developed a red line and the left speaker started crackling. I gave it in for repairs and they fixed it for free as it was under warranty within 2 days. Support was amazing. It's a pain to remove fingerprints from the chassis btw
You are so professional and an excellent popularizer. Thank you for your videos. 🤗
Thank u @JarrordsTech I got mu self legion 2 years ago because of your review now I’m planning to upgrade later this year.
I'm not gonna lie I'm very interested in seeing thunderbolt 5 and 240w using usb-c with the blade 18. Last years a let down so seeing it actually being bleeding edge with that razer sharp price would be a welcome change.
ASUS' new G14 and G16 line-up is by far my favourite. I would have prefered an AMD + Nvidia option on the G16, but we'll see what happens in the future. Currently, I don't have a reason to upgrade, but when 50 series come out and the design remains similar, I'm definitely going with those. Prices are gonna be insane as usual tho...
Same here. Bought G14 last year. It is an amazing machine. I will upgrade once 50 series hits the shelf.
Same here.
-OLED Screen is a must for me now. I like the thin design and I don't care about the xx80 or xx90 as they're always too overpriced and have poor price-to-perfromance for me.
I like asus laptops but I have go sith alienwear just because it allows me have specific specs hope it was same for asus :(
I loved my Asus Zephyrus until Armoury Crate wont detect my keyboard
@@shawnb6944 mine doesn't detect my gpu lol
Hi Jarrod, What do you think about using an egpu with thunderbolt 5? Will the bottleneck still be an issue with laptops with thunderbolt 5? When can we expect thunderbolt 5 laptops and egpu docks?
I can’t wait for your review about new Loq! I hope we’ll see it on Monday!
Do you review niche brands, like TUXEDO Computers? They recently released "Sirius 16 Gen 1" which is Ryzen 7840HS + Radeon RX 7600M XT - one of very few AMD+AMD combos.
Finally! I've been waiting for this video to drop!
Love the improvements on the msi
Can’t wait for these New 2024 laptop reviews you do the most detailed in depth review tech content Jarrod and that is the reason I started watching you. You are very thorough in your videos and go through everything within the product and carry out very time consuming tests to show us the performance of the product you’re reviewing with cracking a few jokes here and there and that’s what I love about you and this channel one of the best if not the best laptop reviewers out there keep up the amazing work! P.S can’t wait for the Asus Rog Strix Scar laptop reviews and the Acer Predator Helios reviews as well.
No way to upgrade the RAM on the G models is a deal breaker for most people.
Man, they really murdered the Predator logo for 6 lines. 🎉
Hey jarrod just bought the legion pro 5 Ryzen 7745hx rtx 4060(black colour) , previously i was using the legion 2021 ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3060 version (white colour) from starting it was having some screen flickering issue, the screen and motherboard has been replaced by the lenovo mutiple times but they coudn't diagnose the problem and at the end i have to return it
now with my new legion pro 5 im facing same issue idk what to do since i have just brough the laptop I have updated the laptop to the latest version but im still facing this issue idk if it is beacuse of the regional difference of the version.
love from INDIA
Hello, I'm from Poland, so sorry for my English. I've been watching you for some time and I learned a little about laptops thanks to you. I just bought a Lenovo Legion pro 5i CES 2024 with i9 14900HX, GTX 4070 and I would like to replace the RAM with a faster one, but I have little knowledge on this topic. Could you help me and write to what size this memory can be expanded and what would be the best. Thank you and best regards.
I hope they'll be some sort of refresh for the X16 Flow, or even a flow x18. I'm not even certain I'll be working in the same place in 7-odd months time, so something that is of a jack-of-all-trades in gaming, creativity and reading/writing documents, while having a decent enough battery life is probably better right now than a dedicated gaming rig.
(In the region I'm in, the Flow X16 maxes out at the 4060 model)
lovin the new Predator logo
Excited for the new LOQ review. The keyboard chassis looked neat lol.
I think that the new MSI 18 inch is probably the biggest update compared to the older GT77.
Hopefully we will see more Oled options later in the year.
do the asus g14 and g16 2024 models have flat screens lie the one of the galaxy book3 ultra or do they have an edge?
Thanks to Jarrod and 2 years of waiting I've finally bought my g14 aw se which is what I precisely needed as a student and a programer ❤
Thanks for all of the memories, I'll keep on watching your videos but they won't hit the same😕 wishing you the best 💓
HI, congrats on new laptop, can you provide the specs of the g14 and a small review about it? Like what you like/dislike and initial impression?
Is it good I'm a programmer and need one
@@WEZFYKAN yes g14 is very good for programming.
@@ankushchaudhary9228 would you recommend it over legion 7 or 7i

Pros:
Small, stands out, really slim, amazing battery life, awesome gaming performance, nice and color accurate screen, the laptop feels and is sturdy, charges via type c up to 100w, very portable, boots up reallll fast, isn't loud at all.
Cons: small trackpad( bigger in newer models) 1 nvme ssd slot and 1 ram slot(isn't that big of a deal).
Overall the g14 is a small and reliable machine that's capable of fulfilling your daily needs without causing any problem because of its size.
Would highly recommend buying it if you have the money to do so.
If you have any other questions I'll gladly answer
Only thing I'd like to get ahold of is that new 400w charger from MSI for my GT77hx 13vi. On discrete mode it constantly triggers the 330w chargers switch. I have just been using my GT76 Titan DT SGS charger to get over the 400w threshold and no more power trips.
Hey Jarrod - love the look of the Asus G16. I'd love to see a benchmark of the 90-115 tgp 4080 model against some of the more performance based 4080's on the market if you get one in :)
Still happy with my MSI GS66 2021, hope it will last up to 10 years. 😉
The most awaited video but do you think I should wait for proper core ultra gaming laptops or should I buy the 14 or 13th gen chips?
I can't wait for you to get your hands on the HP Omen 14 even a versus between the Asus G14 for overall performance, Thermals and Fan Noise.
Does it need cooling pad while intensive gaming?
Fantastic video as always. Do you have any idea when the transcend 14 will be reviewed? I'm am very interested in it, along with the zephryus.
Hoping to get it in February.
@@JarrodsTech Awesome so looking forward to it
Hey which one you like the most in mid range
Any release timeframe for the zephyrus g16 review? Can’t wait for it
very use full
I’d love to buy an omen of 16 inch screen if the bezels are like that and if it offers an older screen. Do you have any news on that.
Not older but oled . Freaking autocorrect
@@NeeluNavneetheh this made me laugh
what is better? asus zephyrus g16 with rtx 4070 or 4080? because the 4080 only getting 115 tdp, is nthis enough or is it just bad money spending because at 150 tdp it would perform better. or maybe it gets to hot etc?
Thanks - when will the Stealth 18" be released in the UK?
Not sure, most of the time they don't share release timelines for different regions at these events.
could you please test G16 video edting smoothness and color accuracy for video color grading, and doing these while unpluging , besides running some Ai tools like stable diffusion, i'm curious weather this laptop can turly replace macbook pro in terms of content creation. about Oled panel , im worried about panel burn, maybe miniled is a better option?
What about ASUS x13 and Z13 series in 2024?....really eager to know about them.
Hi Jarrod, as my number 1 place for gaming laptop news, what are thoughts on Laptop coolers?
I just got my acer predator helios neo 16 rtx 4060 version ... Enjoying it .. your reviews helped me a lot. Thankyouu
Hey, I was about to buy that. But that released last year. Should I wait for the newer version or buy the last year model
@@jowelnath5 wait for the new model to release
@@jaiaswath6138 Don't you think that’s gonna be expensive?
Hello Jarrod, when are you going to post the video on the new LOQ 2024 model??
Been eagerly waiting for your review...
Cheers✨❣️
It's up now!
th-cam.com/video/5DS_QqyqkHk/w-d-xo.html
What are you opinions on the new PC specialist recoil 17 with the i9 14900hx + 4090??
Did you get the Omen Transcend 14 in for test yet? I got one last week. All around excellent laptop, but I’m not able to get anywhere near 80w out of the 4070. It maxes out at 50w plus a 15w boost that is very flaky. Mostly it’s locked at 50w. Have you seen the same? Also, the VRR doesn’t work well-no Gsync and there’s very noticeable screen tearing.. which is a bummer bc the otherwise the laptop is quite nice.
Hey what do you think about medion erazer gaming laptops?
I don't mind thick as long as it is light (cyborg 14). I'm glad more laptops coming with AMD x3D chip
I know it's more gaming adjacent, but would have been helpful to have info about the Framework 16.
We opened ours today, should have a review in a few weeks.
So did they fix the issues with the 2024 legion 9i that the 2023 legion 9i had when you reviewed it?
As someone who isn't abreast of the latest laptop specs what is the main reason for awaiting thunderbolt 5. Is it mainly faster charging time?
Trying to decide between the scar 16 and scar 18. Any thoughts?
XMG are really pushing the boundaries and I cant wait to see more of them in the future.
I currently have a 6800M laptop so i don't see myself updating that in the next 2 years, but after that, I will be checking what they came up with.
EDIT: Just plz get OLED screens. They really beat the crap out of everything else.
Yup, I love OLED but the only thing keeping me on my toes is longevity. I've seen OLED tv's that are 5/6 years old with no burn in or display issues but does the same story apply for a laptop? Remember most people switch laptops every like 4-7 years.
@@4070super There is no guarantee unfortunately.
And there are a lot of reasons why laptop OLEDS are more prone to burn in, so Yes, it is a risk.
@@4070super The risk is there but it takes a few years to notice it. Unless you work with colour-sensitive stuff like photo editing, burn-in shouldn't be something to worry about. You'll barely notice it some years into use and sometimes you forget that it's even there because the display still looks so good.
For that price I expect at least a mini LED display, not a standard IPS screen similar to laptops half the price. This is the only thing that keeps me from purchasing one, as well as the average build quality.
The keyboard layout on the "Eluktronics" one look like the Lenovo Legion 5
Big fan of XMG.... Still using a gaming laptop and this small case series. Lol that was a 1080GTX and it served me so well. No idea what a 4070 or 4090 is going to do.
Does anyone have an idea whats best if I want to hook the Laptop up to a big Gaming Monitor?
Which laptop would you suggest for me? I enjoy playing first-person shooter games like Overwatch and role-playing games like Uncharted and God of War, but I'm not sure which laptop is best for gaming. I currently have a Razer Blade 15 3060 Rtx, but I want to upgrade. I'm not computer savvy, so could you suggest a solid, reasonable gaming laptop?
Hello! Could you please review MSI Thin 15 B13VE. Thanks
I want to go big, but im stuck between two laptops. I am definitely going 4080 or 4090, I am stuck between getting the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 4090 for $2900 and the 2024 Rog Strix Scar 16 they just dropped for $2900 as well. I like the features on the Scar more however the only thing holding me back is the overwhelming amounts of their laptops getting coil whine. I couldnt game knowing my components are rattling like that, itd just ruin the experience of it altogether. Just was unsure if the new models limited the coil whine or if its the same as last year
Buying my first gaming laptop but can’t decide. Should I wait for a the new AMD? I do like the MSI Titan but been researching and notice people have experience with MSI brand and issue with intel overheating. Can’t decide what to get 😢
Im just looking for a laptop to play single player games and some old classics, not for multiplayer games or anything like that. Any recommendations on something that will have smooth gameplay and smooth graphics ?
I’m glad I bought rtx 40 series laptop last year since nvidia is not updating laptop gpu this year I’m in love with my strix g16
Hey Jarrod, any chance you could update your gaming laptop deals site to have the option to sort by price be enabled?
Unfortunately not with how it's designed currently. You can use the Price drop down to set a price range though.
great content, would you be able to review a laptop cooler?
Are you going to review the nitro 16/17 like you said in the nitro 5 video a while back?
Lenovo did actually update the Legion Slim 5 this year. It can go upto AMD's 8040 series processors. They also kept the Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 5i laptops this year with the 7i laptops now featuring Copilot keys for those that want to use the Copilot AI.
But their charging port jack is known to get loose and not charge
Lessgoooo so excited for predator helios neo 18, most probably will be my new laptop 😁
Which ones are looking the best? The Asus Zeyphyrus G Series?
I really hope we get an update later this year on the 14in Lenovo slim 5i
I can get 2023 scar 18 for about £2800 or wait for 2024 version with mini led screen but not sure if it`s worth it to pay much more for new screen, dont care much about 14th gen processor
Hello, are the brand gaming laptop 2024 have a lot of aspect ratio scren 16:9 ?
I'm interested in seeing how the 18 inch gaming laptops fare this year.
would be great if u mention the price range
Does the legion 7i has finger print scanner?
I’ll probably need to downsize to a gaming laptop later this year when I move. Guess I’ll wait and see what prices look like then. Really wish the 4070 models had more vram. Guess I’ll have to stick with the 4080.
is the 2024 legion 7i made out of all metal build or will it be like the last years 2023 legion pro 7i where it has plastic interior and sides?
which laptop should I buy for a mechanical engineering student (who uses simulation software) who likes to game and video edit at a high resolution from the 2023 lineup's cheapest to most expensive order?

Hey man, love your videos, but i wanna ask your recommendation if i have to buy an msi gt77 hx or titan 18 hx, i am 18 years old and want to get into photo editing, video editing, animation and advanced vfx and sfx, please help me out with a reply
White legion looks lovely ❤
Can you tell me something about msi alpha with 7945/4070 version? There is nothing about this laptop
Yooooo the Be'Lakor shirt tho goes crazy (one of my favorite bands).
Still proud of MSI for being on top of the laptop market
I still wish Gigabyte would go back on their last refresh of the Aero. The new ones aren't as appealing, especially with limited I/O (USB-C)
I went with the new g18 Strix. I really wanted mini led or oled but those models (like the msi titan) are double the price. Can get a desk, oled monitor, mouse and keyboard for the additional money spent
Well wanted to know more about the new legion pro 7i an difference but good enough
Sir, please help me choose between
I need a more office-like design, but with the ability to play games sometimes.
Usage: 70% of the time - office work, 20% - movies, 10% - games
I have settled on the following models so far
Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16IRH8 Misty Gray (82YA00C6RA)
Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16IRH8 Glacier White (82Y30086RA)
Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 (82WK00MHRA)
Does it make sense to pay more and buy a Slim 7 or Pro 5?
If so, which one is better?
Or should I consider other brands and models?
Get the bag jarrod
After using gaming rogstrix laptops for last 6 years this year I jump to PC with 4090 and that was best thing I did ever. I dont know why it took me so long.
question, the last 18 inch laptop i knew about was an alienware many years ago, does every company make them now? are they common these days?>
Can you suggest best budget laptops for Machine Learning and AI?
Got my Titan HX today. Looks really great, hope upcoming laptops with AMD CPUs and 4090 will not outperform it in games.
At 4K I don't think u'll notice any difference between AMD or Intel CPU
I wish gaming laptops start coming with touch screen options.
Where is the new loq 2024 review, please share it
Are any of the new models getting a 4070 16vram card?
Hello👋 i am looking for a laptop but i dont know which one to get. The programs i am going to use are really demanding on ram and processor, i need anything between 64 to 124 gb of ram. I dont care about the graphics card. I was going to buy a pc but my job requires me to travel so i am stuck with a laptop. What do you recomend me to buy? (I dont care about the wight i am going to be travelling with a personal car and i am ok with any laptop as long as it is durable because i am going to be away from cities.)
6:13 You're wrong, Framework also didn't mention AI!
We already have the Framework 16 and are under NDA, however we also didn't get an invite from them or know they were at CES until it was too late.
