They emerged in the late-1960s, at the time when Italy’s famed Cinecittà Studio was churning out “genre” films, movies made to cash in on and mimic the success of Hollywood blockbusters, in this case, THE DIRTY DOZEN (1967,) GUNS OF NAVARONE (1967,) and KELLY’S HEROES(1970). Another example of this genre available on PizzaFLIX is Umberto Lenzi’s Desert Commandos (1967).

kinski does not underestimate movies ... some of his intended portrayals are still used today, though not so exaggerated, yet there were some tricky issues to present certain moods before.
I dread not being able to get that cheezy soundtrack outa my head...

Have seen this film when I was still a kid. I remember the hero throwing the ball pin point, throwing through that electrified fence, last but not least those three rifles of the last scene. Couldn't understand English then, but simply enjoyed it. The name of the film was five for hell, now also seeing Marcoroni Combat. The theatre name was Royal, in Bellary, Karnataka, India.

This movie was more fun than a whole season of the "A Team." Hilariously funny. Everyone is just pissed cause they never got a full frontal by the Fraulein Helga.... She was worth watching the whole flick. Dang.... That's what she said. :)

German helmet’s decals (flag shield) one side,nothing on other side. I’m not one that gets picky and just thrilled watching a WWII flick, but c’mon, such an easy detail to help the make a movie better. A Bridge too far, now that’s is a movie and last of its kind. EVER! All authentic equipment, no computer cheating.
Still better than this years Oscar nominees.

Luv the use of springboards to go over barb wire. This is got to be one of the silliest war films ever made. In general I equate dubbed films with high colonics, this one is more like an appendectomy without anaesthesia.

Only person I knew was Klaus Kinski and I recognized Nick Jordan from spaghetti westerns with Lee Van Cleef, or course he did amazing acrobatic stunts in those also. Seems like Nick also went by another last name like Cantu or something like that. He really did some great stunts tho, check him out, plus any movie with Lee Van Cleef is a plus... In my opinion I think this film is one of the best out of all Marconi films, why I like this its a great story though about the 5 commando unit but all but two survive, shame though McCarthy, Siracusa and White die in this movie, although Hoffmann and Amadori live,

I know it's not the best, but it's still enjoyable.
This is what's called a "situational" film. You have to be in the right situation to enjoy it.
1. Drunk or stoned, hopefully both.
2. Naked, in bed, with two 18 year-old twin girls (also naked).
3. A winning lottery ticket on your dresser.
Then, maybe, just maybe, you will enjoy this film.
