9:24 This shit is what broke me. Just the fact that Kiryu genuinely felt like there was no one left to live outside of jail for, if live at all. Thank God for Haruka.
I know right. For the first time, the fight has truly left him. After everything he survived, after everything he made it through only to fight back harder, these were two deaths too many...
Nishiki's story is one of the most heartbreaking and well constructed things in video game history. He is always sympathetic, he is such a tragic character and you don't have to suspend any disbelief when following how he went from loyal, principled friend to ruthless gangster. I think he redeemed himself in that final sacrifice and I think Kiryu thought so too. Yakuza is so deceptive for newcomers. They will expect a story of murderous gangsters but underneath all the machismo and violence lies an emotional soap opera about people.
lold at this comment nishiki's story is mediocre at best. He had best friends. On of them is Kiryu who goes to jail for his deeds. So Nishiki must be loyal as fuck after this, but noooo. He will cry like a bitch, because everyone around thinks that he is incapable. "Hmmm" - Nishiki thinks - "How to prove my value?". But ofcourse betray everyone who loved and cared for you, that's the spirit. Honestly it's just bad writing, there is nothing CONSTRUCTED and HEARTBREAKING. It's exact the opposite
@@elementaliwe I just finished Kiwami for the first time and personally, I gotta disagree. Nishiki didn't cry like a bitch because everyone thought he was incapable. It was fucking with him mentally. All the shit he was going through with Kiryu being in prison and Yuko in the hospital AND he saw himself as entirely worthless because that's what everyone planted in his head, that he was inferior in everyway. It wasn't just him crying like a bitch, it was him snapping mentally.
The love of his life...hope he can find someone new...here's hoping for Yakuza 7. He deserves a family of his own. He lost his father, brother, and love all in a span of a few days. Guy deserves a break
I started my Yakuza adventure from Yakuza 0 game and when I finished playing I was crying like a baby during credits. Since Yakuza Kiwami and old versions of Yakuza series are only for PS, I decided to watch this walkthrough. But man. Even though I didn’t play myself, I feel devastated. I know that many players don’t really like this part of series because of the “simple plot” and big amount of fillers but I dunno. I watched the whole walkthrough of Yakuza Kiwami like a movie an enjoyed it a lot, and once it will be out on PC, I will buy it and go through this again myself.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!! One of the best sagas of all time. 7 games of sheer genius! I never thought anything would top this ... until yakuza 0 and then kiwami 2. Thank you sega :)
hmmmmm, when there's an explosion, people are still on the street, which means it's just evening or 8 pm, and then when Yumi dies, the sun rose, so there're plenty hours for Kiryu to call an ambulance, why the fuck don't you call an ambulance
Playing the yakuza game series for the first time has a feeling that cannot be described with words It's very special I really love sega. I loved it from the childhood until now
SPOILERS FOR YAKUZA 4 you know?,it would have been fun if the homeless man had at least a little resemble to akiyama, mostly because of how many changes this remake does and all,but i guess he looks a lot like the homeless that appears in yakuza 1

Date reminding him that he wouldn't make it alive if he went to jail for the 2nd time haunted me.
@@angelusvastator1297 i didn't understand that part ngl
It actually brought me to tears.
He's lost everyone and I can't blame him for just wanting to give up on life.

Nishiki would be straight up mid if not for yakuza 0
@@johnmarston9262 yakuza 0 really just fleshed out his character really

@@TunaPlays He literally cried like a bitch a few times here and there, lmao. Your message is invalid
The vault gets blown up with gates open
**Yumi, Kiryu, and Haruka is alive unscathed**
Even though she was wounded beforehand.
Lol
Video game logic am i right
AKA: Plot armor.
kiryu MASSIVE BODY protected them like a wall😂
That goddamn date handshake was powerful af i can literally feel the Power of friendship coming inside of me
ayo?
What's up with Amazing Grace, did Kiryu become a born again Christian at the end
Gezo I like to think so, haha
Everyone close to Kiryu died up to this point. That's why amazing grace is playing
I think its because he’s turned away from the gangster life “saved a wretch like me”
Japanese media tends to fetishise the Christian aesthetic but I'm kinda happy that there's something for Christian Yakuza stans lol.
all the yakuza games take place near christmas time

I played Zero, then Kiwami. Cried both times at the end. This series really brings the emotion out of me.
shlump sclumpump so fucking true
Kiwami is now on Xbox and the second one is coming soon after
I thought the cutscenes are oddly paced.
playing em all on PC now, amazing games
im literally crying beacuse of this ending, i got so attached to nishiki i didnt want him to die
I was hoping Kiwami would have some sick heat actions that we could do with Nishiki....
Not against him :(
Damn bro Kiryu's family be dropping like flies in one game lmaoo
the moment kiryu lost a brother, also marked the beginning of a process where he gains another brother who is akiyama
7:59 I know this scene is meant to be emotional but still couldn't stop laughing because Yumi sounds like she's saying "N-wordchan"
just noticed that it sounds like NI66A CHAN
4:38 I actually had tears in my eye, and after that final nishiki I was like "Nooo!!"
5:08 this guy should have been Akiyama, just saying...
Watching yakuza 6 ending after this really tears you up
Akiyama: Thx Nishikiyama

I’m convinced that’s akiyama at 5:10
Yes lol. Few are those who knows that
Started with yakuza 0, got attached to Nishiki and started crying at the credits. I'm so glad I started playing the series

watching this before yakuza 6 to freshen things up
man haruka is ride or die for a lil kid
just finished it & it was the first entry i played into the series. don't regret it but i'll treat myself to 0 & kiwami 2 one day. beautiful game

Man what did they do to akiyama
Glad someone realized that was him lol. Few are those
The second song brought more sadness my God. Almost shed some tear especially at part 19:54 ... I was staring at my screen like wow
R.I.P Nishikiyama Akira And Haruka’s Mother T^T
Playing the yakuza game series for the first time has a feeling that cannot be described with words
It's very special
I really love sega. I loved it from the childhood until now
What a goddamn mistake that was, giving Terada the top spot. All of Yakuza 2's problems woulda been averted if he put Kashiwagi as chairman.
So we just gonna leave the puppy out in the city where it could be attacked by thugs like before or hungry and thirsty again... Okay
This ending makes me tear up.
Always does
came here just to see how long these unskippable credits are
Didn't include the ending after the credits? Wtf
Yes, the ending has kind of made my heart empty
