Lovely bar of silver 👌I've always used weak links less than mainline breaking strain but after that explanation I'll try it that way.. thanks for the tip ..all the best Lincoln 👍🤙
Great video as always Dean - your friends cast, I think that is called a hatteras cast, you circeled where it hit the sea, how does that compare to your mini laid back cast in terms of distance? Thanks
What size catfish hooks were you using? Got myself a pack of 4/0s from VMO last week, waiting for a spool of 150lb braid to come through post from amazon to tie hairs with to make some rigs up, i didnt realise how big they were until they came in the post 😄 I mostly use BMX hooks and every now and then from the boat Sakuma TopGun hooks for fish/squid baits.
@@deanbooker3314 Thank you👍 As well as that, loving the videos and seeing how others go about fishing in different parts of the country rather than just up here in Essex. Think i might have to see if can plan along with my wife, a long weekend down your way in the summer as she enjoys fishing almost as much as me👍👍 and fish like some on your channel would make a summer to remember😊
sorry, but dont see no fun in that sort of fishing, spent a week at penarth and fished a few spots, give me the beaches of norfolk and suffolk, and as for Bass, give me a Codling anytime, i eat cod but not bass

Hiya mate, haven't really compared or taken any notice if any distance between us, aslong as the bait is in the water
Happy Christmas Dean, I struggle to get a good knot in anything over 60lb mono, any tips or links appreciated, many thanks Chris.
Hi mate, there is a video on this channel with knots 🙂

Scieers sock foot mate and rock hopper wader boots
Thanks for the info Dean👍🐟
Hi Dean, what weight is your mainline if your weak link is 20lb? Is it 25lb
Ah think you said 20lb later in the vid
Hi mate, my mainline is 20lb, it is explained in video
How tall is that tripod???
8ft
albright shockleader knot is far stronger and faster to tie than the bimini twist
Cheers for reply but il stick with bimini it's never let me down 👍
Do you use the spider hitch knot much mate?
Its quicker to tie but no way is the Albright stronger than the Bimini .
@@southerner4566 far stronger iv tested it
@@martingoddard8484 yes mate if real rough I use spiders so it snaps at the knot not lossing mainline

Everyone is intitled to there opinion I'm just glad I fish all diffrent types of venues and diffrent types of fish 🎣
