    I think you hit the nail on the head at the beginning of the video, confidence, this is what i lack , the only two flies i have caught fish on are the blue flash damsel and the cats whisker. Tried other flies but no luck. Tight lines mate :p

      Don't know what you have in your fly box. But I would not be with out a good selection of small patterns. The flies you have mentioned are fine when you have more stock fish in the water. Buzzers 14 and down. You can fish these any speed. From static to very fast. Small nymphs, again fished as above. Spider patterns, sparse. again fished as above. A lot will depend on the water condition. But I can tell you even when we can only see about two to three foot. The fish see a lot more. Take a small fly, look at it with the ground behind. Now with the same fly hold it up towards the sky. The fishes perspective is a lot better than ours. Plus they have damn good eyes. These patterns mentioned I would fish with a lot of confidence. On most waters every body fishes the flies you have mentioned. A big mistake is to think fish are stupid. These fish are getting pretty feed up seeing that fly wiz bye. Something different can be key. And small is good. Lets say you are fishing in good water, like you can see may be 5' or 6' down. Try a small nymph and about 10' or so of tippet. Just the one fly. Fan cast, and fast figure of eight, or even a slight vary with a short strip. Once you have covered that water move on. If the fish are going to take they will very quickly. No point hanging around trying to convince the fish to eat your fly. There are taking fish every where, but they are spread out. You have to find them. Go get em mate. Shaun.

      Hi Chris, a shit one. My self and one of the boys have been using a few makes, one of which is barrio and we both struggled with it. Have used a lot of frogs hair, not bad. But to be honest Im all over the place with tippet at the moment. I carry about 5 different makes at mo, and constantly trying new ones. r u happy with any.

    Could you please do some fly tying videos please mate.

    • @shaunfishes101
      @shaunfishes101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only do flies worth putting on. I could do flies every day. Don't see the use of this mind. I will look at a fly and just do it. The tying method is all the same. But you will love the next video. If you think you have seen fly tying. This I have never seen done before, but I am sure some people have.
