Great video guys, we in Lowestoft and the model world is still an hour away. But great to visit. Bure Valley is a good place to go and they have a model railway shop, which is good. Sherringham has a preserved railway, there is also a little model shop in the town. Being a seaside town it’s a great place to visit. Enjoy your time in Norfolk.
Hi Paul, thanks for the info, we visited Sherringham on our way home and popped in the model shop. Nice place and we hope to visit again and have a trip on heritage railway. Cheers Rick ☮️🚂😀
Thank you both of you ,very good ,.We live just outside Lowestoft & often go to model world .Not only rail but dolls & other interesting things .Well done ,thank you .
Thanks for watching Steven, we filmed all the displays so we might be able to get another video out but we did experience some sound issues while filming. We will see what we can use. ☮️🚂😀
Hey folks! What a wonderful place! Some very nice layouts (the first was very impressive). I really enjoyed the slot cars, as well, as I used to run big tracks with my kids when they were much younger. Thank you very much for a look into this place. Places like this need to be discovered, shared, and visited in all countries,
Thanks Anthony, there is an awful lot of other footage we might put out in another video. They have a lot of model trains and cars on display in addition to a vintage slot machine arcade. Lots of vintage Star Wars memorabilia as well. Thanks for watching and all the best Rick. ☮️🚂😀
Hi Andrew, we got there pretty early mid week while the schools are still open so it was pretty quiet. There is a lot more there than the railways we filmed. Cheers Rick. ☮️🚂😀
It certainly is, there is a lot more there than what is in the video. We didn't know about it until we got there so it was a nice holiday bonus! Cheers for watching ☮️🚂😀
Thanks Simon. Neither had we until we looked for things to do. There are a lot of other things there which will be in a video later today. I need to catch up on some of your vids as it's been pretty chaotic this week. All the best Rick ☮️🚂😀
In Bognor at the end of the pier was a model railway just like the German one it had mountains mainline with catenary a rack railway all made by fleishmann the owner told my grandad that he chose continental as the trains 1979 where far more reliable and detailed than what we had at the time in the U.K. hehe grandad who was a Sargent major in the desert rats hearing German was better made him frown a bit but he loved trains too I followed him onto Royal Mail miss him ,we had family work at old oak common GWR I just retired bec if health from south western railway after 8 years at Clapham junction also if you ever can the Romany hythe and dimchurch railway is a great visit they too have a massive model railway ,all the best to you both ,Mark 👍🏻😃
Hi Mark, nice story, yes apparently the UK scene was some way behind the continental models back then. I hope your Grandad was not too miffed! Must have been great working on the mail and Clapham Junction is legendary! There are quite a few railways in Norfolk so I guess we will take a look to see which is nearest to wherever we end up staying but the model railway sounds good. All the best Rick. ☮️🚂😀
was hoping to get an n scale percy but hes too expensive for me. $80 dollars us. liked the thomas exhibit.@ 13:27 i like the push buttons to operate the layout.
Hi Allan, it's much better when the layouts have something on for the kids (and adults) can have a go on. I've no idea on the price of the Thomas models but they seem pretty expensive. Cheers Rick ☮️🚂😀
Rick n Pauline such a cool video of the miniature worlds... i know we are here for the trains but hey couldn't you spend hours racing on the circuits🤣😎.... thanks for the shout out too!!! How long did you play video games after filming? 🤣🤣. Great editing mate must of took an age...ATB Neil
Hi Neil, there is a lot of unused footage of Lego, us playing slot machines, boats, trains in cabinets, dolls and more so I might edit that into something at some point. I spent a bit of time on space Invaders (could have spent a lot more) then we went to film at the model shop. I'd forgotten the shout out! Lol. All the best Rick ☮️🚂😀
Impressive Railroad Layout👍♐️
Cheers as always! Keep up your great vids. ☮️🚂😀
11:32 now entereing Metcalfe City 😁

Cheers Ed, love a bit of Metcalfe! ☮️🚂😀

Nice video Rick. Looked like you had the place to yourselves.
Hi Andrew, we got there pretty early mid week while the schools are still open so it was pretty quiet. There is a lot more there than the railways we filmed. Cheers Rick. ☮️🚂😀
Interesting place to visit. Pity it's so far from me.

that looked a great place to visit, some really layouts there, great video guys
Cheers Digger. ☮️🚂😀
Continental profile is both taller and allows deeper sides. So it fills up most of the available profile.
Thank you for the info Ivo. Cheers Rick ☮️🚂😀
I’ve visited their, it’s amazing. Also have you visited the bure valley railway which is by Wroxham station.
No we haven't but we are going back to Norfolk later in the year so we will take a look. Cheers for the tip and thanks for watching Rick. ☮️🚂😀
Very nice video, honestly never heard of the place

railcar when on its own and not a DMU as no longer a multiple unit
Ha ha correct of course and I should know better! Cheers for watching Rick ☮️🚂😀
@@wellchuffedrailways good video though looks a decent day out
A little contrived and too much off the shelf scenery for my liking but a great exhibit for the general public.
There is a lot more there than model railways so it's definitely worth a visit. It was a lot quieter than Llandudno! Cheers Rick ☮️🚂😀
Do have a facebook page i could see more .
Hi, no Facebook yet. Cheers Rick.
