Great to see you enjoy your self and combine it with your other passion and youth sentiment. But what really grasp me, was the age you got your first set and still have it in the box. I'm similar like you, I was 5 years old when I made my first trip to the UK from Belgium, to visit my relatives in Nottingham. And my nephew had a set on the attic floor, and I spend almost my hole Holliday on that attic, where I got serious ill with the model train disease. A week after we returned back home, I got my first train set, a Märklin set, as British trains weren't available here. A bout 20 years later, I walked into a British model train shop, and there my first love for British trains came back, since I only collect British stuff. Only last year I sold all my Märklin stuff, only to buy more British stuff, but my first set still in box, that was to emotional to depart of. Enjoy the model railway illness, there is no cure for it, so you might better enjoy it😅 regards, Danny
Prog Rock you say! A man after my own heart mind you I will have to wait for ELP or YES releases lol. Seems I started around the same age as you with a layout. But I fell away from it around late teens and only recently picked the hobby back up again. Wonderful little layout you have lots of detailing. Really enjoyed the running session.
Never noticed that connection before! Love the little Holdens. They are actually based on a real locomotive that was designed to run on a branch line but wasn't very successful and ended up being the Swindon Works shunter for a quite a few years I believe.
It must be having a model railway is away that make great musicians thrive in there industry , like Neil Young , Roger Daltry , Rod Stewart . ,Jools Holland . It’s an art form .😊
Not only was the holden real but just like Nellie and the 040 King George v , its dimensions are very close to the real thing! Check wiki for just about the only pic of Holdens no 101 experimental oil burning loco

Thank you for your comments.
What a lovely layout. The 'In the Court of the Crimson King' cover art will always haunt me!

Yes they run really well. Interesting link with the band you mention. Thank you.
I'm impressed by how much action you've packed into a small space. A lovely session.
Thank you

I also love the little Holdens, recently bought another used one, Tolgarth Tin I think, it will appear soonish ...

Robert still very much alive and kicking!!!!😊
Good call on the King Crimson front. If you’ve not already spotted them, Hornby have covered at least two other prog bands in a similar way!
Oh, I haven't spotted them, can you say who?
@@barryhumphriesinc.broughto3098 There was a bunch of Marillion items, Hogarth/Rothery/Kelly/Trewavas/Moseley. Also Porcupine Tree (S Wilson et al)
Looks great with those liver and custard coaches
Well spotted, who knew? It wouldn't have surprised me that if approached, Robert may have given you permission. Nice session.
Loved the video but do you mind if I ask what the background music you used? 😊👍
Hi, it's just a piece of generic background music from Microsoft Distant Ocean. Thank you for the comment.

Have you speed the camera up or is the grandkid operating?
