I don't have a junk drawer....I have a vintage plastic mint green cookie jar/canister that is a darling accent piece, that I use instead.....hides the odds and ends, looks cute AND frees up a drawer!
I have a lidded ceramic pot, circumference about 14" which is the junk place: stray playing cards, twist-ties, reciepts (some ancient). It sits on the stove (no fire hazard) and actually comes up with interesting things sometimes.
Really like the rule of 5. I will try that. And turning the hangers around in the closet and also the question about would I buy that today.? This video was really helpful. Thanks so much. I lived 27 years with a hoarder of stuff. One day when he was out of town on business I rented a dumpster and had it positioned in our driveway directly under a second floor window. The hoarder and I are divorced but living with one is a challenge. Your show is an inspiration.

Putting the set of bed linen into one of the matching pillow cases - I cannot believe I've never thought of this before. If I take nothing else from that video that is a winning tip.
Actually, I have thinned out some of my college text books. I had over 10 math books, dozens of outdated journals, and so many children's books they took up half a wall. I do not have children and passed the books on to children who would enjoy them and donated the text books to a school.

Dolores Neilson I think the velcroed remote idea is supposed to be for when you're not watching tv....you stick them "wherever" but when you are going to sit down to watch a show, you grab them on the way to the couch....it eliminates the "where did the remote go?" problem.
I used to defrost my freezer in the winter but this year due to appliance failure--had to do it at the beginning of summer! I must say defrosting when it was warm was faster and easier for me. I just filled coolers and placed them indoors. Now I do prefer if my fridge is going to die for it to be winter! LOL It was very hard living out of a cooler for 3 weeks while waiting for a fridge part this summer!!
That was kind of snotty. I live in Arizona. There’s never a good time to put anything outside, ever. Plus I like to clean out my fridge once a month. It takes a fraction of the time that way.
The baskets up the stairs are DANGEROUS! NEVER put anything on stairs - In case of fire or loss of power in the night they become death-causers! Even one misstep can bring a person crashing down! As an Internationally Certified Architectural and Interior Designer I could be sued for suggesting such a thing in even a residential structure (and commercial safety codes are very much more strict) STAIRS are not intended for storage!
gottaseeit1 I never thought of this angle! Don't have stairs so not my problem. But good idea. Also keep a light on that lights stairs - I know, probably not a help to firemen, but would be a help for anyone living there on an average night.
gottaseeit1 I tought the same I imagined me rolling downstairs kus one of those baskets went into my way or one of my kids kus they are always running.
Nice Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you considered - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (do a google search)? It is a good one of a kind product for decluttering your home minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got cool success with it.
Maybe u should learn how to criticize someone b4 trying it again unless I don’t care that u come off like some righteous ass...as an Internationally Certified AssKick’r and Revenge Engineer, I can tell ya that ur name is on a list somewhere, a list of people that need a good ass kick’n but will hopefully change their techniques of criticisms for the better b4 that ever happens. Lighten up, buddy, and try to treat people a little nicer cause u can still get ur point across (good points too, like this one u posted) without the nastiness.
You want to learn how to save space and put things away. Join the Navy. I guarantee you'll pack a seabag, find double uses for stuff and fold and roll clothes in ways you thought were not possible.
Fred Heigl Maybe clutter free out to sea but the Navy has a bad habit of issuing countless different uniforms/gear for all kinds of occasions then every couple years discontinuing everything & rolling out new versions, taking up more space than all your civis combined.
Some good ideas here. I don't like to lend my things because I have to remember to get them back. (3 things I never lend, my man, money and books.) People get amnesia, forgetting they got the item from you. However if a situation arises and you have to lend a book, a tool, garment, or other item, take a picture of the person holding the item in your house on your phone, then when they "forget" they borrowed, you can gently remind them with a proof picture. It works every time. All the best!
If you have the kind of television that allows you to velcro remotes to them then buy a new television. Or better still buy a universal remote. Much better idea.
Linen Gray I don't want to get up and get the remote each time I need it. I keep mine in a pretty container by the sofa along with the aircon/ heater remote.
thank you, some useful tips in there. I echo with some commentators here that books may not be clutter for some, in that case, we need to manage our space well to store them all - so your other tips are very handy!
Great vid! Something that has helped me in the closet & life- It takes some time, but I organize my clothes in outfits from largest to smallest (it does help that I'm not a fashionista), then I know the next week's clothes are smaller. So, if I don't want to wear the same things over & over, I had better exercise! And it makes it so much easier to get rid of clothes (no Does it fit, do I still like it? It's in stages!)
flyinspirals Well, I know I'm not the only one with multiple sizes of clothes. I shared this before & others appreciated it. Clearly it's not an issue for you, but I hope it helps someone
roadrunner:: I'LL SAY. you should see all the different sizes i own. once, i listened to the so-called EXPERTs, & threw all my big clothes away when i lost a ton of weight {those dolts say that it keeps you from getting heavy again}. then, i gained the weight back when i quit starving myself, & had to buy all new clothes. 😡
At the age of 79, I moved to Queretaro, Mexico on 11-2-2021, because the USA was too dangerous and expensive. I always gave away all my life, and I still do, but it was so freeing to have everything removed from my apartment, and giving my kitchen and bath preps to my super nice friends. It is $800 per month less expensive living in Mexico, and my rent includes a furnished apartment, all utilities, WiFi, and maid service. My apartment is in a 24/7 secured gated community, and I have groceries delivered to my home, as I did in the USA. I have a beautiful view of the city, and the people are so kind and respectful.
I work at a public library so I want to offer some practical advice. Before taking books to a library call the library to find out if they accept used books in great shape (not moldy or musty) to put in their collections or add to their used book sales. Please don't give libraries old sets of encyclopedias that they will have to dispose of. Old encyclopedias do not have current information for patrons. Call the library first. Save time, gasoline and an aching back.
@@laineygann7713 That's stupid. You can't read a digital copy and walk. A, you can't SEE it in the sun, B, Hard on your eyes, C, You'll drop your phone. Who cares if you drop a paperback?
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 It may be stupid to you, but it's a fact. They got rid of 75% of books. So,they still have books, just won't accept yours!
Fand Htwoohs LOL! Waaay back years ago, when I wasn't well and my Dad thought he come down and "declutter" and start packing for me he mentioned something about THROWING OUT books! I let out a scream. My son said "Way to go, Grampa." I cried "Ya can't throw out books, Poopsie!" (in mah best Southern accent, even though we're Canadian) "that's... that's sacrilegious!" "Well, just don't expect me to carry any downstairs, ya goof." My father just wasn't much of a reader.
I tried to sell my old college textbooks, but I had waited too long and since they have come out with new editions every semester, no one wanted to buy my textbooks....And I would feel like a murderer if I throw them in the trash! Now I'm stuck with these textbooks that no one wants:( All the other books I own I will NEVER get rid of.
relentlessmadman first it has to want to be decluttered. I think that would be a No...but I agree the junk on here is amazing. It has only been going for such a short time, imagine in 50 years!
I thought the same thing - no way would I do that. I've had cords overheat and scorch in the past and that's just literally adding fuel to a potential fire.
There are strips of thin plastic with a lock which are sold specifically manage cords. Rubber bands rot really soon. I don't know their names but places like Best Buy would have them
Jill Peters Hey Jill; we've given books to a "small" town library on the west side of Mich. where our cousin lives. They REALLY appreciate bumping up their book totals & how cool is it to know that in that farming area people can get books; not just the internet. Makes me feel GREAT!!!✌💜
I don't know what everyone is whining about, I really found most of these ideas to be very helpful and intend on utilizing then A.S.A.P.! Thanks so much for all the awesome tips and tricks.
TypesALot Use your expansive imagination and picture cleaning supplies in place of the gardening gear. Got it? 👍🏻 It's still a good idea, even though the stock photo they used wasn't a logical choice.
Every time I've done one of these hare-brained declutter things, I've ended up with deep regrets about giving away something I actually needed. No more following someone else's rules for me. From now on, I decide what I want to keep or throw out. Hard and fast rules are just an invitation to overdoing and regret. Make your OWN rules!
Serai3 I agree in principal. We can make our own minds up about what we need. But I think that is what it is saying. Just giving some ideas how to go about it. There were some hints that were either done to death or I already knew or could work out for myself. But one or two were new ideas to me and one in particular I am going to do.
When I choose things to de-clutter, I put the object in a special closet, then after a month or so I decide whether I really want to get rid of what's in the closet. Holding items out of site for a while gives me a chance to reconsider whether something needs to go or stay.
@@sylviariggs4180 See, that wouldn't work for me. I've had insane regrets about something I got rid of YEARS ago. The thing for me is to stop thinking I HAVE to get rid of things. I don't. Nobody does, unless you're moving to a smaller space without any storage. This idea that things would be "better" if I get rid of that thing over there or that I "need" the money I could get for that thing over there - those ideas are what make the process an inevitable path to regret. Nobody HAS to declutter. People should only do it if it's something they really WANT to do.
@Zoot Rollo Why? Because YOU think so? See, that's what I'm saying. The only person who decides whether "decluttering" is necessary should be the person who OWNS the clutter. Nobody else's opinions should enter into it - yes, even in the case of people with too much stuff. "Too much" is YOUR opinion, and since it's not your house, your opinion isn't actually relevant.
I love my books too, but old textbooks should be donated I agree. Old children’s books sometimes go out of print, they are memories of my past, I enjoy reading them to my grandkids and they enjoy a book vs/ a tablet to read on.
I too clung to old books thinking I would never declutter. Until, I had to move out of state and they cost a fortune to ship. Now, a kindle and about 10 books which I plan to donate remain.
#32 We have 4 seasons where live, temps from below 0 to over 100 at times. Of course I haven't worn items in 3 months. I would need to go with a year on that, at least.
Those baskets make me think of all the baskets I've thrown out of my house when my sister and I did a spring cleaning kind of thing. There were about 15.
I'm wary about baskets! I love them, so they become clutter filled with clutter. I have a few and make sure I don't buy every one I like. With a glass bowl inside for water, they make nice flower pots in summer.
Lisa Herrling : It's also a good idea to take into account when donating books whether they are in good condition, if they're reference books whether the information is dated, if the place is already flooded with a certain books, ( how many copies of fifty shades of Grey does a community need? )
I got a funny one. I bring books to donate to the free library in my town, only one problem.....it's only as big as a shoe box and already full. If it was gonna be made that small.....why even bother?
Who in their right mind would keep medication under the sink?, that's dangerous if there are small children in the home, that stuff should be up high in a medicine cabinet!.
Just get off all that shit. 98% is NOT necessary. Make the doctor get you off all that dangerous crap. A few exceptions: high blood presssure until you move around and change your diet. Bipolar/schizo meds. And diabetes is NOT necessary. They should get sued for medical malpractice for NOT bothering to TELL YOU that diet will cure you within a month or so!
More akin to a literary panoplist. I don't think of them as clutter, however. They take up space, yes, but there is no disorganization and they bring me no stress at all.
To those complaining about the book thing: Gotta admit I still have a lot of books, more than 5 book cases, but I got rid of plenty, and from time to time I get rid of more. Also I am a commuter on train, so I now mostly buy online, (and download from libraries). Sooo much easier to carry an electronic pad than lug around books! A wise woman once said to me before I made the electronic transition; "When the printing press made reading available to the masses, trust me there were many elite whining that the slaves did such nice scroll work!" Sometimes change is good.
She's holding more money than anyone would get from selling old textbooks, you wouldn't even get that much right after the semester from the place you bought it from! lol
I have to say, I often love the comments more than I love the video's lol! How long does it take these people to make this stuff up and actually think they are good idea's? and of course the next video will have 10 of the same and again the next. Come on youtubers, if you want to make it then give us something we don't already know and not the same dribble as all the rest!
Am I the only one who totally did not understand the chart for #9? I even paused the video and tried to read it. Let me preface this my saying for the most part, I enjoyed this video and really like some of the tips. However, I think a few of them are very bad ideas. Some of them may even be dangerous. Numbers 10 & 19 both seem like a fire hazard to me. #25. I keep my cleaning supplies in the room where I am actually going to use them. For example, the tub/toilet cleaner stay in the bathroom, the oven/counter cleaner stay in the kitchen. Yes, I have multiple bottles of windex, but it saves lots of time. Plus, since it is easier to just grab the bottle, it helps me to be a bit more motivated to clean the bathroom mirror or the front of my stove since I don't have to run into the next room to grab the supplies I need to clean. To me, this is just common sense. Why would I keep all of my supplies in just one place? #26. If you are going to hang your towels on hooks, you need at least 2 hooks per towel. This way the towel can dry properly. A wet towel means bacteria and mild are going to grow much more quickly-leading to musty smelling towels, etc. #36. DO NOT keep medicine in the bathroom! The heat and moisture will destroy it! Don't the packages all say something like, "Store in a cool, DRY place"?
I thought I read "40 Indigenous Way To De-Clutter Your Entire Life". And I thought "Wait! Indigenous people have traditional ways to keep their bush lives uncluttered too? What possible problems would they have had? Kids bringing sticks into the camp area? I gotta see this!!!"

For #21...where do I purchase the little pans? Love this idea, but don't have any makeup that came in them to reuse when empty! Some good tips...ignore the creepers
I'm old and always loved books. I now read on Kindle but it's not the same! Maybe they're the same but they don't seem as detailed and well written! Technology is great in some areas, in others it makes things so impersonal. I got one book for Christmas and am looking forward to reading it!
Or use a large lazy susan for all your spices & keep them in your oven if limited space...keep a note that they are in there so you don’t turn on the oven before taking them out.
A lot of great ideas! Thank you!! I like the three tiered cake pan idea. The mail one is a good idea too. That's my main problem. Paper clutter!!!

gottaseeit1 I tought the same I imagined me rolling downstairs kus one of those baskets went into my way or one of my kids kus they are always running.
Let alone @3:00am I would hear my cat (RIP) hitting and rolling them down the stairs as he plays with them! I agree Nothing on the stairs!
Fred Heigl And at the same time, you'll be responsible for the death on someone or someones. That should keep your mind busy.
Oh No Navy needs to look good don't forget ;-)

Velcro the remotes to the side of your tv. :D I'll travel back to 1987 and will do that there. :D
Velcro your remotes to the side of your tv. Try that with a flat screen tv. GET RID OF OLD BOOKS. Are you kidding me. Since when are books clutter?
Preach.
Trust me they can be clutter.
Then organize them.
If you have the kind of television that allows you to velcro remotes to them then buy a new television. Or better still buy a universal remote. Much better idea.
Linen Gray I don't want to get up and get the remote each time I need it. I keep mine in a pretty container
by the sofa along with the aircon/ heater remote.
Loved the ideas and picked some I'm going to do. I have my list in my planner already. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
thank you, some useful tips in there. I echo with some commentators here that books may not be clutter for some, in that case, we need to manage our space well to store them all - so your other tips are very handy!
I got seven new things out of this, very worth the 11 minutes I spent watching it.
If I got rid of five things in every room I would have nothing left lol
~~~~~~~~ lucky you ~~~~~~~
Fight theIllusion no not good lung disease lost everything have nothing
Then why are; you watching a decluttering video?
if you "got rid of 5 things . . you'd have nothing left" ?? THEN WHY are you even watching THIS Video ??!
If I got rid of 5 things......HaHaHa. No one would notice.
Good ideas thanks .
Great tips..didn't know so many people were crazy about books though
Great tips, I just think it needs a new heading, this is more about organizing than decluttering.
Great vid! Something that has helped me in the closet & life- It takes some time, but I organize my clothes in outfits from largest to smallest (it does help that I'm not a fashionista), then I know the next week's clothes are smaller. So, if I don't want to wear the same things over & over, I had better exercise! And it makes it so much easier to get rid of clothes (no Does it fit, do I still like it? It's in stages!)
Da Roadrunner All my clothes are the same size.
flyinspirals Well, I know I'm not the only one with multiple sizes of clothes. I shared this before & others appreciated it. Clearly it's not an issue for you, but I hope it helps someone
roadrunner:: I'LL SAY. you should see all the different sizes i own. once, i listened to the so-called EXPERTs, & threw all my big clothes away when i lost a ton of weight {those dolts say that it keeps you from getting heavy again}. then, i gained the weight back when i quit starving myself, & had to buy all new clothes. 😡
At the age of 79, I moved to Queretaro, Mexico on 11-2-2021, because the USA was too dangerous and expensive. I always gave away all my life, and I still do, but it was so freeing to have everything removed from my apartment, and giving my kitchen and bath preps to my super nice friends.
It is $800 per month less expensive living in Mexico, and my rent includes a furnished apartment, all utilities, WiFi, and maid service. My apartment is in a 24/7 secured gated community, and I have groceries delivered to my home, as I did in the USA. I have a beautiful view of the city, and the people are so kind and respectful.
Good tips. Some I won't use but others I will. Thanks!
That was nice If we can remeber to leave an area better or just a little bit better that we found it. Even if we just remove one thing
There are some GREAT ideas here!!! Thank you!!!
I work at a public library so I want to offer some practical advice. Before taking books to a library call the library to find out if they accept used books in great shape (not moldy or musty) to put in their collections or add to their used book sales. Please don't give libraries old sets of encyclopedias that they will have to dispose of. Old encyclopedias do not have current information for patrons. Call the library first. Save time, gasoline and an aching back.
Our library has been converting to digital for several years. They DO NOT accept books in any condition.
@@laineygann7713 That's stupid. You can't read a digital copy and walk. A, you can't SEE it in the sun, B, Hard on your eyes, C, You'll drop your phone. Who cares if you drop a paperback?
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 It may be stupid to you, but it's a fact. They got rid of 75% of books. So,they still have books, just won't accept yours!
Get rid of old books? What kind of monster does that?
That was my reaction to that hint too!
Fand Htwoohs LOL! Waaay back years ago, when I wasn't well and my Dad thought he come down and "declutter" and start packing for me he mentioned something about THROWING OUT books! I let out a scream. My son said "Way to go, Grampa." I cried "Ya can't throw out books, Poopsie!" (in mah best Southern accent, even though we're Canadian) "that's... that's sacrilegious!" "Well, just don't expect me to carry any downstairs, ya goof."
My father just wasn't much of a reader.
Lol
Fand Htwoohs hey Fand, I'm right there with you!! The only time i will "give up" books is to enrich someone else!!✌💜
I tried to sell my old college textbooks, but I had waited too long and since they have come out with new editions every semester, no one wanted to buy my textbooks....And I would feel like a murderer if I throw them in the trash! Now I'm stuck with these textbooks that no one wants:( All the other books I own I will NEVER get rid of.
I often wonder after clicking on a video and watching the first minutes if there is a way to declutter You -tube!!!
relentlessmadman first it has to want to be decluttered. I think that would be a No...but I agree the junk on here is amazing. It has only been going for such a short time, imagine in 50 years!
Yeah - like I'm really going to limit my closet to 40 hangers!! NOT!
It's only going to get worse my dear.
You can subscribe to stuff you like. If you don't like it, the drop down menu has a not interested choice.
relentlessmadman OMG!Yes!So Right! There really is someone that does the same thing! LOL!
NO WAY I would use socks to corral cords. That's too flammable.
I thought the same thing - no way would I do that. I've had cords overheat and scorch in the past and that's just literally adding fuel to a potential fire.
The socks are to be used for STORING cords, not using them!
I use strong rubber bands and velcro ties.
There are strips of thin plastic with a lock which are sold specifically manage cords. Rubber bands rot really soon. I don't know their names but places like Best Buy would have them
Very efficient presentation. Thanks for not being gabby.....I only have so much time..... Good luck!!
Like the pillowcase idea.
I feel the same way, but I rarely have given a book to the library where I can still visit it from time to time. :)
Jill Peters Hey Jill; we've given books to a "small" town library on the west side of Mich. where our cousin lives. They REALLY appreciate bumping up their book totals & how cool is it to know that in that farming area people can get books; not just the internet. Makes me feel GREAT!!!✌💜
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing
Velcroing a remote to the side of the tv completely defeats the purpose of a remote......
Hang when not in use. Great for kids or a mom.
tv's are flatscreen now
I don't know what everyone is whining about, I really found most of these ideas to be very helpful and intend on utilizing then A.S.A.P.! Thanks so much for all the awesome tips and tricks.
Tip #25 - mobile bucket caddy? Who uses pliers, gardening gloves and a garden shovel to clean their house?
Use your expansive imagination and picture cleaning supplies in place of the gardening gear.
Got it? 👍🏻
It's still a good idea, even though the stock photo they used wasn't a logical choice.
How to break purse handles faster, hanging them. I never hang my purses up. 😂
Why not buy real leather? Lasts for years.
Every time I've done one of these hare-brained declutter things, I've ended up with deep regrets about giving away something I actually needed. No more following someone else's rules for me. From now on, I decide what I want to keep or throw out. Hard and fast rules are just an invitation to overdoing and regret. Make your OWN rules!
use the information you learn in life around what works for you, we all learn something before we innovate
Serai3 I agree in principal. We can make our own minds up about what we need. But I think that is what it is saying. Just giving some ideas how to go about it. There were some hints that were either done to death or I already knew or could work out for myself. But one or two were new ideas to me and one in particular I am going to do.
When I choose things to de-clutter, I put the object in a special closet, then after a month or so I decide whether I really want to get rid of what's in the closet. Holding items out of site for a while gives me a chance to reconsider whether something needs to go or stay.
@@sylviariggs4180 See, that wouldn't work for me. I've had insane regrets about something I got rid of YEARS ago. The thing for me is to stop thinking I HAVE to get rid of things. I don't. Nobody does, unless you're moving to a smaller space without any storage. This idea that things would be "better" if I get rid of that thing over there or that I "need" the money I could get for that thing over there - those ideas are what make the process an inevitable path to regret. Nobody HAS to declutter. People should only do it if it's something they really WANT to do.
@Zoot Rollo Why? Because YOU think so? See, that's what I'm saying. The only person who decides whether "decluttering" is necessary should be the person who OWNS the clutter. Nobody else's opinions should enter into it - yes, even in the case of people with too much stuff. "Too much" is YOUR opinion, and since it's not your house, your opinion isn't actually relevant.
i love youtube ... i love my books as well, they look beautiful in my study ...
Delusional hoarder.
I love my books too, but old textbooks should be donated I agree. Old children’s books sometimes go out of print, they are memories of my past, I enjoy reading them to my grandkids and they enjoy a book vs/ a tablet to read on.
I too clung to old books thinking I would never declutter. Until, I had to move out of state and they cost a fortune to ship. Now, a kindle and about 10 books which I plan to donate remain.
#25 - if you need a shovel and shears to clean a room you need to move or do more than just de-clutter LOL
jmarylastone à
LOL I was wondering if I was the only who noticed that.
#32 We have 4 seasons where live, temps from below 0 to over 100 at times. Of course I haven't worn items in 3 months. I would need to go with a year on that, at least.
Those baskets make me think of all the baskets I've thrown out of my house when my sister and I did a spring cleaning kind of thing. There were about 15.
I'm wary about baskets! I love them, so they become clutter filled with clutter. I have a few and make sure I don't buy every one I like. With a glass bowl inside for water, they make nice flower pots in summer.
Gee that sock looks GREAT
OMG THEY JAILED THE ANIMALS!!! Those poor, innocent, stuffed creatures never did anything to you! Oh the inhumanity!
Love it ,😂😂😂😂
Another way to get rid of books you have already read and don't want to keep any longer: Donate them to a Free Little Library in your community!
Lisa Herrling : It's also a good idea to take into account when donating books whether they are in good condition, if they're reference books whether the information is dated, if the place is already flooded with a certain books, ( how many copies of fifty shades of Grey does a community need? )
I got a funny one. I bring books to donate to the free library in my town, only one problem.....it's only as big as a shoe box and already full.
If it was gonna be made that small.....why even bother?
I donate mine to our outdoor park library, I also find some good book's to read..so a win win..No clutter
Lisa Herrling Best idea.
For grandma’s house.
Towels dry more easily on a rail than a hook; therefor more hygienic.
I recently got a good idea. Put towels in dryer,then hang them on a hook..
I was thinking the same thing.
Waste of electricity (and thus money). Hanging on a rail/bar is free and less work.
Hooks also get towels and clothes out of shape. Plus they fall more easily.
@@laineygann7713 we don't have a drier. LOTS of folks don't have driers
Who in their right mind would keep medication under the sink?, that's dangerous if there are small children in the home, that stuff should be up high in a medicine cabinet!.
medicine cabinets are too obvious. Put the meds at the very bottom of a drawer in your bedroom in a non-transparent sack.
Not in the bathroom at all., too damp....
Emma
"Who in their right mind"? LOL
My home never has children in it, so is it alright with you if I keep my meds in an easily accessible location?
🙄
@@jaytee2642 If you HAVE a kid over or someone's dog, then you'll forget they're there. Right?
Just get off all that shit. 98% is NOT necessary. Make the doctor get you off all that dangerous crap.
A few exceptions: high blood presssure until you move around and change your diet. Bipolar/schizo meds.
And diabetes is NOT necessary. They should get sued for medical malpractice for NOT bothering to TELL YOU that diet will cure you within a month or so!
Get rid of old books? That is some kind of crazy right there.
Every kind of crazy. It speaks volumes (no pun intended) on where society places knowledge on the priority list.
Are you a reader? Books are my biggest clutter.
More akin to a literary panoplist. I don't think of them as clutter, however. They take up space, yes, but there is no disorganization and they bring me no stress at all.
Fand Htwoohs Yesssss... If anything, seeing all the books is actually relaxing to me! They're like little accomplishments displayed on shelves :)
Oh No whcVaw ""
To those complaining about the book thing: Gotta admit I still have a lot of books, more than 5 book cases, but I
got rid of plenty, and from time to time I get rid of more. Also I am a
commuter on train, so I now mostly buy online, (and download from
libraries). Sooo much easier to carry an electronic pad than lug around
books! A wise woman once said to me before I made the electronic
transition; "When the printing press made reading available to the
masses, trust me there were many elite whining that the slaves did such
nice scroll work!" Sometimes change is good.
Amazing tips . . . loved all 40!
The narration was straight out of the 80s!!!! I had to check my calendar!
Thank you for great ideas!
She's holding more money than anyone would get from selling old textbooks, you wouldn't even get that much right after the semester from the place you bought it from! lol
Yes. Total scam. We should sue.
I have to say, I often love the comments more than I love the video's lol! How long does it take these people to make this stuff up and actually think they are good idea's? and of course the next video will have 10 of the same and again the next. Come on youtubers, if you want to make it then give us something we don't already know and not the same dribble as all the rest!
Great tips! Thanks!
Am I the only one who totally did not understand the chart for #9? I even paused the video and tried to read it.
Let me preface this my saying for the most part, I enjoyed this video and really like some of the tips. However, I think a few of them are very bad ideas. Some of them may even be dangerous.
Numbers 10 & 19 both seem like a fire hazard to me.
#25. I keep my cleaning supplies in the room where I am actually going to use them. For example, the tub/toilet cleaner stay in the bathroom, the oven/counter cleaner stay in the kitchen. Yes, I have multiple bottles of windex, but it saves lots of time. Plus, since it is easier to just grab the bottle, it helps me to be a bit more motivated to clean the bathroom mirror or the front of my stove since I don't have to run into the next room to grab the supplies I need to clean. To me, this is just common sense. Why would I keep all of my supplies in just one place?
#26. If you are going to hang your towels on hooks, you need at least 2 hooks per towel. This way the towel can dry properly. A wet towel means bacteria and mild are going to grow much more quickly-leading to musty smelling towels, etc.
#36. DO NOT keep medicine in the bathroom! The heat and moisture will destroy it! Don't the packages all say something like, "Store in a cool, DRY place"?
Thank you! I about had a coronary when I saw the medicines under the sink.
Nice video
You have some really good ideas in there!
You're not supposed to store medicines in the bathroom, but other than that, good idea.
Where should you keep them? In the bedroom closet?
In the bedroom. Don't have a bureau. Why don't you Google why you don't store them in yhe bathroom instead of being a smartass.
I don't even have a bottle of aspirin in the house, so I don't store medicine. Period. I guess I'll leave that to the pharmaceutical experts with the cartons of pills and other assorted drugs.
