This is amazing I just ate the last of my beautiful white crisp sprouts today ... no kidding they were in jars for 3 weeks great way to keep them fresh !!!!! 😊 impressive
It worked for me. I bought a big bag of fresh bean sprouts from a Vietnamese store. I did exactly as shown in this video. I noticed the quality of my bean sprouts degraded after about 3 weeks but they were still good for me to finish them all and they were way better than a fricken canned bean sprouts at Wal-Mart. I did change the water every 3-4 days. I will use this method again. It took me an hour to reach a Vietnamese store, so I really need this method.
Thank you! Trying this today to keep my bean sprouts. I love them but like to use a little bit in lots of dishes. Never all at once. This will be so great.
Thanks so much! It grieves me to waste the sprouts. Our market sells only in large bags, so after one meal, they disintegrate before I get a chance to use them again.
Thank you so much. Great tip. Just grew my own sprouts and there's a lot. I was very worried they would go bad before I used them. Until I saw your video. Just filled up 4 big mason jars and they are in the fridge. Thanks again. God Bless.
Does this work for other sprouts like alfalfa, broccoli, clover or radish? These smaller sprout varieties tend to expire more quickly than the larger bean sprouts in the first place.
Looks like the vinegar wash kills bacteria in the sprouts and that helps it stay longer (3 weeks, if you simply keep dry sprouts in plastic bags in fridge, it's good for like 1 week only) in the fridge. Good tip there!
Thank you for this very useful video Tadum. Can you just clear a couple of points for me please? 1. Did you mean change the water once a day for 3-4 days, change it after 3-4 days, or change it every 3-4 days? Also, does the water in the jar need to have the white vinegar added again? Thanking you in advance 🤗
Broccoli sprouts (sprouted at home) were edible for a week with this refridgeration method. Afterwards, the stem started to go slightly brownish even though they smelled fine I threw them out to be safe. Note: I added vinegar every 3 days with the water change to be very sure they're clean
This is a great tip, I sprouted my own mung beans and followed this tutorial to store them. Two weeks on they are still fresh and crunchy.

They only sell giant bags of bean sprouts where I live.

Thank you for this very useful technique.
I am sprouting my own but needed ideas on storage. I will do this...thank you!
Did you try this and they remained as crunchy as the day you purchased? I was just curious if it worked for you?
Thank you, I'll try it
What did you say around the 2 minute mark? I have to change the water everyday for 2-3 days????
What is in the bottle.
Thank you God bless you for sharing!
You’re welcome
Thank youu for the tutorial 😊 a question please, do we need to put the vinegar again when we change the water in every 3-4 days?
Nope. Wash first time with vinegar and when you put in fridge just only clear water.
Do you add more vinegar to the water when you change it??
Vinegar is use only first time 3 minutes before add clear water. When we change the water is use only clear water.
Do you think this would work on alfalfa sprouts?

thank you for this, but firstly I can not get the sprouts to be this long. they go brown before they are 2 or 3 cm long. ??
Me too. My next batch I’m growing with a weight on it (cooking pot filled with water) plus a thicker towel to keep the light out.

Yes. Of course. Let’s try it ☺️
