What a wonderfully accomplished guitarist is Don Felder. He is forever unsurpassed as a member of the Eagles. Irreplaceable, even though Henley & Frey tried to overcome this, they never could - and never will!
This is the first English song I listened to from my childhood. Back in the days when my father was still a young man, he played the song loud in the room. Nothing he knew about the lyrics, nothing I knew about life. Days were filled with hopes and expected tomorrows. I grew up, went to college in the US, traveled to Cali, got back to China. My dad getting old, and I'm listening to this again. Gosh.
Perhaps the best rendition of Hotel California ever! Such rich talent,the beauty of the playing was unsurpassed. We will never see their like again. The Greatest of the Greats.

It's stunning that we are such a noble species who are capable of producing this beautiful song and playing it in such beautiful harmony. We should expose our children to this kind of beauty early on, so that they can have an eye and ear for what's really valuable and cherish them.
Of all the recordings of this song, this is absolutely the best. They said they would play together again when hell freezes over, and this was their best result.
Who can expect that The Eagles had to break up for a long time and got back together again in order for them to came up with the best version of this song?
I obviously don't know all the stuff behind the scenes, but Don Henley and Glenn Frey appear to have just not liked Don Felder, which is strange because he's a likable guy. He also gave them their biggest hit, and many riffs that made Eagles' songs so memorable. Henley and Frey wrote amazing lyrics that were the foundation of their success, but Felder was also a primary influence, which those two seem to fail to acknowledge.
Thank you for uploading this. My grandfather was the concert Promoter for this tour. It's incredible to see the music I grew up to as a toddler performed live.

This is a song that is always on my playlist! It is also whhat connects me and my brother and 2 boys. My boys call it "our song". Such a beautiful song! Ive had it on ' loop'' countless times!
