I had this exact problem when I was last driving in Europe. Stupid BMW driver was on the left hand side of the road with me. Oh wait a minute. My bad. I was in the wrong lane 😁🤦🏻

I just got one. Put 300km on it so far. Vibrations is noticable everywhere on the bike but i only consider the footpegs as an issue. At 90-120kmh the handlebar sways a little bit back and forth. I would probably get a steering dampener if i planned on doing extended rides at that speed. The quickshifter is very sensitive. After each shift you have to let go of it completely before you shift again. I did this on my bike and then the quickshifter works flawlessly. Upshifting from 1 to 2 is a bit clunky/jerky. I don’t think the software for the quickshifter has taken the neutral position into consideration. Downshifts works flawlessly every time. Wind protection in stock form is almost non existant. I have thought about a larger screen but the mount is situated so far down that a fully protective screen would have to be really large.

I was tempted to get something like this for a second bike when the weather is crap.
    Quite common in the UK!

Tell me about it. Always getting caught out by shower clouds even though the forecast doesn’t show rain 😁🤦🏻

This is one of those rare KTMs that I feel comfortable suggesting to other folks.
It’s basically the 2014 Duke 390 engine and chasid with taller suspension a 19” wheel and all the updated electronics.
It is very pleasant both on and off road and the engine is just fantastic!
Most of the gremlins have been addressed and its just a joy machine to ride.
I’m currently on a T7 but seriously considering downsizing.
Not riding it off road is a big miss on your part 😢
Try to get some time on it soon 🍻🍻
    Cheers

I’m not allowed to take it off road mate, that’s the problem when I’m going by the dealers insurance. I like to keep my dealers happy so they’ll let me come back again 😁😁.
I need someone with one to let me take it off road 😁 any takers ?

@@BlazinBlades There lies the question, have they asked, have they checked whether they are covered to do it? Each to their own with this choice. Ive got one of my dealers that allows me to take it down a certain track as the salesman has been down it on his own bike before and knows what the track is like. I personally like to keep these guys onside so I can keep doing what im doing 😀

Just bought a brand new 2023 here in the States just three weeks ago. Already got it in for the 620 mile service (will do all my own services after this one). It's been great so far. I came from a Ninja 650, but wanted something smaller and offroad capable but still had enough power and this was the ticket.
I did a lot of research beforehand because I also had heard of the KTM unreliability (never owned a KTM before this), but from everything I've seen, these bikes are plenty reliable. Maybe not as much as a Honda or Kawasaki, but good enough. I did have to get a battery replaced, but I think it was a faulty battery from the start. Left the dealership with a check engine light and then around about 400 miles, I'm almost 100% positive one or two of the cells just wouldn't hold a charge (could still bump start it and it showed 14V, which is what it should be after the stator).

Are you saying this ktm is reliable . After your ktm experiences

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว

I can’t say any of the bikes I test are reliable as I only ride them for a few hours. You’d have to do your own research on the exact model you want to buy. I hold no blame for other people’s purchases 🤣🤣

Ill have to do a video on this over the winter as a few people have asked.
In a nut shell, go pro 10 with media mod, Chinmounts mount for go pro, purple panda lavalier mic tucked behind my cheek pad and a decent helmet. Test and adjust on the mic position until you're happy with it. Hope this helps.

No point in saying a height is there, everyone has a different inside leg which will effect what seat height works for them.

Another well rounded review mate.didnt start the best, but got the feeling you started to like it after a few minutes.
I think it comes down to what you like the look of,everything else in that price bracket is going to be similiar.just depends on your brand allegiance i think.
