First - sweet gremlins shirt. Second - insane list! I didn't know how many there were. I have great memories of watching the Specials - especially on rainy Halloween nights.
Also, thanks for including KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park and the Paul Lynde Halloween Special, which is where I first saw KISS. I'm sure Eric was thrilled. 😂😂😂🤘
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was something I watched all the time on VHS. That's why I was so excited when the Tim Burton film came out back in the day.
I too am always on the look out for Halloween specials I've not seen. Some that I watch every year that you didn't mention are; The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Halloweenie, The Freaks & Geeks Halloween episode (Tricks and Treats), the Bottom Halloween episode (Terror, S03E02), South Park - Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery, and Witch's Night Out.
What a better way to start my Saturday morning than watching the attic dwellers. Really good episode, I just wish I was longer. I didn't knew about the pac-man episode (I need to find ot now) when I was a kid I would be waiting to watch the Looney Tunes Halloween episodes where Bugs Bunny would pissed the hell out of that witch 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to tag you on my Instagram so you can see some Halloween specials I found this month.
Loved it! I forgot to mention the episode of Diff'rent Strokes where Arnold and Sam dress up like Ghostbusters to explore a haunted house and end up meeting the owner (Ray Bolger) dressed like a vampire. Watch it every year!
@@NerdOutWithMe It's Season 7: Episode 1 - "A Haunting We Will Go" if you can find it. It used to be on TH-cam but I guess they finally pulled it down. It's a good one!
Maybe favorite Halloween specials were always "It's the great Pumpkin Charlie Brown", "Garfield's Halloween Adventure", "Disney's the Legend of Sleepy Hallow", and one show that was not mentioned "Witches Night Out". "The Halloween that Almost Wasn't" was really funny. I use to watch it lots of times as a kid. "Tales from the Crypt" was a good Halloween show too, both the live action and the animated shows.
Wow so many that I don't remember at all, this was a cool episode, well they are all good but I really enjoyed this one. I loved Elvira but I do not recall any of her Halloween specials which is kinda sad. Maybe I have seen them and just don't remember them. The Punky Brewster Halloween special left me terrified to sleep that night. It's kind of an intense even as an adult. In the second half of the special there isn't much jokes and a laugh track is rarely used and it becomes kids trapped in a cave and being tormented and traumatized by an entity.
Amazing show Tig. You are realy delivering top notch content. Ilove your chuckle when you yeall the date and time of Garfield to your family, lol. Elvira made Amiga games too. I think my favorite Halloween special is The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Hard to beat that
This is an awesome video man and here in canada halloween was a big deal for us on our block; there was a show called today's special and we would be get so elated when we guessed right and it was the halloween episode lol #halloween
2021❗🎃We desperately need and want your Halloween insight❗I really appreciated this. Thanks for showing Fat Albert's Halloween some 💘 ❗Looking forward to your videos 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎃👻🛸👽
There is a Halloween special that I loved as a kid, that slipped my mind till now, do you remember the Halloween special for The Worst WItch from the mid 80s that HBO used to air every year in October?
Streaming Services KILLED everything fun about TV. We didn't know it then, but NOW I just watch 90s tv WITH commercials. I found a bunch here on TH-cam, Got a few VHS tapes as well. But soon I am going to have to start editing 90s commercial to the 90s shows from TH-cam, Netflix, Disn.... I have tried modern cable tv but 1. That box takes up sooooo much electricity to have off, but plugged in. @. TV isn't the same. MTV only has 1 show, Nick only shows SpongeBob, and I don't know whats up with cartoon network...
Does anyone recall a creepy episode of Webster about a house? I kinda remember this creepy episode about a house with secret passage ways and a doll or something
Did you ever see "meet me in st louis" with Judy garland. Its ends on Christmas but its about a whole yr long and they do this crazy Halloween event by throwing flour at home owners when they open the doors. Also the kids burn stuff in the street. Idk if this was an old tradition or was just for the film. Also we watched it for Xmas so its not 100% Halloween
She should one day get her own animated series, just like the Crypt Keeper from "Tales from the Crypt" got his own. Maybe on Adult Swim, so she can be allowed to show lots more of her sexy side.
Literally every show on TV had a Halloween special back then. Now next to none do. This is one of the reasons you know your culture is being erased. Literally.
Hope Everyone Has a Safe & Spooky Halloween! (Let Me Know What YOU Watch During The Halloween Season!)
I lolved Rosanne's Halloween specials. They were the best and gave us all great Halloween pranks to try and emulate.
Watch The Halloween tree! If you retro cartoons, itso goood!
I'm gonna search it out this weekend!
@@NerdOutWithMe you won't regret it 😉
I can not get enough of your channel. I'm 38 and every episode is like a trip back to my childhood.
Came here to say the same, I'm 40 and I love it!
Def a rare gem.
Great to hear, Eric! Thank you!
This is my favorite youtube channel, glad I found it
@@Mattwav Thanks so much buddy!
First - sweet gremlins shirt. Second - insane list! I didn't know how many there were. I have great memories of watching the Specials - especially on rainy Halloween nights.
4:20 I like how the ghosts in the Pac Man special dressed up like mummies for Halloween. They were already ghosts! There was no need for disguises. :)
HA! Glad you noticed that.
Halloween specials are better than Christmas 💯 great video
Thanks Mitch!
Also, thanks for including KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park and the Paul Lynde Halloween Special, which is where I first saw KISS. I'm sure Eric was thrilled. 😂😂😂🤘
Eric watches every year.... not. Lol
You got the family matters in there! Loved that growing up!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was something I watched all the time on VHS. That's why I was so excited when the Tim Burton film came out back in the day.
I just recently watched Sleepy Hollow (Tim Burton) last night for the first time since it came out in theaters. Still love it!
@@NerdOutWithMe It was phenomenal!
Love this! Glad you included My So-Called Life's "Halloween." 🎃🖤🧡
Thanks for mentioning it to me! :)
Great video man! I was always disappointed with the shows that didn't have any mention of Halloween but had a Christmas episode.
Agreed! Never understood that.

Omg I’m so mad I didn’t watch this video before. You just enlightened me and set up my next years Halloween viewing.
Bunnicula? How did I miss that!
I have vague memories of it. Really weird idea.
Def a weird and rare one

Thanks buddy! (And I realized I missed getting Bugs on the list!)
I met Elvira. Super sweet. She autographed my Fangoria poster.
Seriously... that's awesome!
Disney always did Halloween right.
Agreed. Always did it perfectly.
They sure did.
I actually wait on watching specific items until October/Halloween. This is probably the best backpedal so far. 👍🏻🍁🦇⚰️
Thanks Randy!
Loved it! I forgot to mention the episode of Diff'rent Strokes where Arnold and Sam dress up like Ghostbusters to explore a haunted house and end up meeting the owner (Ray Bolger) dressed like a vampire. Watch it every year!
How did I never see that?! I used to watch Diff'rent Strokes religiously!

I forgot the Punky Brewster Episode! Ugh, def was nightmare fuel. Like a fever dream!
@@NerdOutWithMe I don't think some people would believe that is pretty out there or wasn't that bad if they haven't watched it themselves lol.
@@Mattwav Yeah def. I actually just read a few articles about how weird it was. LOL. I kinda need to watch it again now.
Halloween specials were one of my favorite parts of Halloween 🎃 I need to watch the Jem Halloween special.
Glitter fashion and fame Jem is my name!
The Jem Halloween special is worth watching!
I grew up in the 80s so I liked a lot of what we had, but I was always partial to the Charlie Brown Halloween specials
Amazing show Tig. You are realy delivering top notch content. Ilove your chuckle when you yeall the date and time of Garfield to your family, lol. Elvira made Amiga games too. I think my favorite Halloween special is The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Hard to beat that
One day we need to meet up and play Elvira Pinball In Asbury!
I still watch most of these Halloween Specials.
As you should
Great video! Enjoyed seeing all the old cartoon specials!
Thank you! And yeah, I miss all these specials. Good times.
I cant wait for Halloween this year. Nice vid.
Got some ideas floating around as we speak!

That emmy winning fat cat. lol

Welcome aboard! And thanks for watching!
You should do one on 80s Halloween costumes ( if you haven't already.),👍🏻😁
I always wanted a Teddy Ruxpin, but Mom and Dad never got it for me. They said it was too expensive.
It was very expensive at the time. I never got one either.

There is a Halloween special that I loved as a kid, that slipped my mind till now, do you remember the Halloween special for The Worst WItch from the mid 80s that HBO used to air every year in October?
Yes! With Tim Curry!
Never seen a single Elvira thing.
I'm not surprised

@@NerdOutWithMe whoa thanks for posting that! that is just about the way I remember it to. Good find!
The only one of those I remember watching is Charlie Brown .
Elvira was the lost dime. You didn't talk about Ernest. Like pro stat tute vs family friend.
You mean Ernest Scared Stupid? Oh yeah, I remember that one.
Alas in Australia at that time - Halloween just was not a thing. Missed out! It's hugely pushed now but not like America!
That's a shame. I know you would have thoroughly enjoyed Halloween as a kid!

I have! Love it. Try to watch it every season.
Elvira was a Playboy model. She actually still hot too for her age.
