Unfortunately you will not be able to visit any of the Ukraine Black Sea coastline .... because they won't have any ! After it has mopped up in Kherson, the Russians will move on West to Odesa. Which from memory is a particularly beautiful city ..... it would be a shame to see it stone aged, but the place is crawling with Nazi's and ...... no one likes a Nazi, right Esther ??

In Afghanistan, during the time of the Soviet occupation, there were carpets that featured designs of military equipment. I was not surprised that tanks and other armaments would be incorperated into Ukrainian garments.

Very noticeable that the Soviet - whoops, Russian - senior military staff appear wearing their full regalia and insignia (have to say, on cheap shirts about the quality I wore in the Boy Scouts), whilst the Ukrainians have been pretty understated - a T-shirt with just one rank insignia. So when Zelensky appears in a hand-made shirt that is still understated but reflects his culture - we know we're backing the right horse. Slava Ukraini.
i always wonder how those recent military leaders in the russian army got all those medals which covers all the surface of their uniforms, maybe in Afghanistan or Chechnya ?? in any case I ve never seen even WW2 old decorated allied soldiers in ceremonies wearing so many medals

I make traditional Ukrainian embroidery and I approve of this. It is creative and striking. Honestly, I think of the wedding rushnyk because of the human figures but this is nonetheless great 👍 I may embroider this as a wall decoration to look at in my home everyday. СЛАВА УКРАЇНІ!

I am so glad the Ukrainians have their own national shirt, the vyshyvanka. My native country Cuba, has the Guayabera from the times of the war of independence from Spain. Its usually white linen with 4 pockets in front. The back has pannels that resemble the flag minus the colors. The side have slots to slide in a machete. It was fought on horse back then.. The Mexicans and others have tried to steal the design but we KNOW its origins. I hope Zelenskyy brings back the vyshyvanka popularity as a National object of Ukrainian pride. Slava Ukraini.

i admired president zekensky wearing military shirt. he is not carrying any gun at all.
The style is similar to a Barong (Philippine's native dress). Popularized style during our own struggle of independence from colonizers. Very interesting that the style also evolve during a similar phase in Ukraine's history. May your people find the freedom and peace you deserve.
