    Weighing machine measure mass not weight.thats why its measure normal reaction.

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weighing machine neither measures mass nor weight. When an object is kept over it , it measures the NORMAL FORCE acting upon it. Now things get interesting. It divides the Normal Force with the value of acceleration due to gravity(g) ( it is coded to do so) and finally reports us the MASS as reading.
      Conclusion: 1. Weighing machine Measures Normal Force (which maynot be equal to the objects actual weight)
      2. It finally returns us the value of mass by dividing this Normal Force with (g).

    Sir at time of launching rocket 🚀 is action and reaction which is first take place

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whenever the engine of fhe rocket starts burnt gases are expelled through the nozzle at very high pressure.
      1. The engine of the rocket exerts a force on the gases in the downward direction
      2. The gases inturn exerts a force on the rocket in the upward direction, due to which the rocket propells into space.
      Both these forces are equal in magnitude, opposite in direction, act on different bodies and are of same nature.
      Both these forces arise at the same instant of time.
      As explained in the video , you can call anyone as action and the other automatically becomes reaction
      There is no cause-effect relationship between action and reaction. It is not that action occurs before reaction. Both the forces arise at simultaneously

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  ปีที่แล้ว

      When we say gravitational force is non contact force it simply means that force this force to act between two bodies it is not necessary for them to be in physical contact. You and your friend can be 1m apart and this force is still acting between you both. Yes , now since two bodies are not in contact , certainly their center of gravity is also not in contact.
      You will read it in particle physics how this force actually organiates between two particles.

    Earth is pulling the object with a force mg(m being mass of object) while object is pulling the earth towards it with a force Ma (M being mass of earth).
    Please clariffy if above statment is correct.

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it is correct .
      Earth is pulling the object with a force mg (m=mass of the object)
      Object is pulling earth with force Ma(M=Mass of earth)
      Now , here acceleration of object(g)> acceleration of earth(a).
      Mass of earth (M) > Mass of object(m)
      Hence , Ma=mg
      Conclusion:
      1. Both earth and object pull each other with same force
      2. But the acceleration of earth and object are different. Earth is massive, hence its acceleration is negligible

    Sir if normal force is the contact force then why generally it has same magnitude as mg in rest or in uniform motion assuming earth to be in internal frame

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is only when the net force acting on the body is zero. Since normal force acts vertically upwards and its magnitude can be anywhere between zero to infinity, hence it can balance all other downward forces.

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When we talk about gravitational force , we only talk about attractive force. Watch the video carefully. The repulsive force that we are talking about in this video is NORMAL Force which is an electromagnetic force caused by inter electronic repulsion at the molecular level.

      If you are asking for class 11/12 Level then i would suggest that
      1. Start with SL arora for basics
      2. You can use any coaching module next like Allen/Motion because you will get good questions in order
      3. For Advanced level you can go with DC pandey series.
      Do not pile up yourself with too many books. Select one ,solve completely and revise it 3-4 times.
      Also I havent mentioned Hc verma because most of the questions of HCV will be found in coaching materials

    Aur baki sari jo cheezein hai ki earth ko object kheench raha hai wo sab gravitation chapter me clear ho jata hai

  • @Hongsen
    @Hongsen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    U r right Normal force is not opposite pair of mg . However there is no any harm to say Normal force is a normal reaction of mg . The point is force always exists in pair. In this particular case block is being pulled by earth with mg so this is the magnitude force with which it presses the horizontal surface in turn surface pushes it back with same magnitude of force which is called Normal reaction.

    • @SouhardyaSutradhar
      @SouhardyaSutradhar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      After the video , if you are saying this , then you have completely missed the point.
      Statements like "Normal Force is the normal reaction of mg " is the root cause of all misconceptions. We must never say this.
      Rather "Normal Reaction is the reaction , not because of mg but because of its own action at the molecular level".
      You have added that , "Earth pulls the block with mg and the block in turn pushes the horizontal surface with mg". This statement is correct if and only if , then block is at rest or there are no forces in horizontal directions.
      If there is a block of mass 4kg kept in a lift and the lift accelerates upwards by 2m/s2 ( assuming g=10m/s2). Do you this , this block would push the horizontal surface downward with 40N?
      Ofcourse no. Rather this block of mass 4kg would push the horizontal surface downward with 48N ( which isnt equal to mg).
      Conclusion:
      So we shouldn't be saying that a block of mass(m) exerts a force mg on the surface.
      Rather we should say that a block of mass(m) exerts a Normal Force on the surface , which may or may not be equal to mg depending on the acceleration of the block.
