I will say this....I am an UBER planner. I find joy in doing so. I took my little family to Grand Teton and Yellowstone In the summer of 2021. I primarily used the videos and advice from these two generous souls. Our trip was perfect. We had zero issues. We went in mid August and the parks were not very crowded. We are assuming because some children were heading back to school. Anyway, because of that and the advice of Matt and Cheryl we not only did everything we were hoping for....we did more. I cannot recommend them enough. To Matt and Cheryl.....words cannot express my gratitude for all the work you put into these videos. We had a trip of a lifetime and you played a part in that. I hope that fills your heart with joy because you deserve that and more

I always get a rental car & forget the tours. Better to do self tours. I really enjoy the Old Faithful area, great Ice Cream there. I always get the Huckleberry flavor because there are no huckleberries in FL where I'm from. They also have a lunch buffet which had my favorite bison chili & also had bison & elk sausage. Great to eat foods I don't normally get to eat at home.

We planned our trip to Yellowstone almost a year ahead of time and we're so happy we did! Matt and Cheryl's itinerary was amazing and was the MOST helpful tool we had!!! We knew exactly when to do what, where to go to view the wildlife and where to hike and eat etc! Yellowstone is my Happy Place. Will visit again this year. Spent 2 weeks there last year and got the Oct early winter storm closing most roads. I plan everything before I leave so I know I have a place to camp. My YNP daily plan is get up each day and do what I feel like doing. A sandwich at a picnic stop never tasted so good. I enjoy the northern area the best, from Canyon to Dunraven to Lamar. Been thru 4 entrances and this year will be my first for the NE coming thru Beartooth Highway. Currently reading Death in Yellowstone and hoping I won't be in a future edition. Thanks for your videos and information. I feel your videos are for all types of visitors and not just the experienced or just the newbie. Keep up the good work as I'm hoping to get to Utah next year and will watch your videos about it, so much to see there.

The guides are made in a way that they don't need frequent updating. If there is a major change that will be in effect for a long time, an addendum would be made. However, before your trip, we always recommend checking the official National Park Website for road closures and other such information that could impact your trip.

Our family just got back from Yellowstone yesterday. Your guide was SO helpful as we only had 3 days in the park so we tried to see all the RED areas. We were a little disappointed that we could not get to Lamar Valley because the road is closed due to flood damage but the rest of the park did not disappoint. We stayed in West Yellowstone and were able to see most stops on the lower loop except the lake and the west side of the upper loop up to Mammoth. Your audio guide was amazing. There was snow in the park that week and the paths were muddy. I was glad I had packed my waterproof hiking shoes! Do pack some groceries if you plan to visit this summer. Food service was limited. Our favorite entrance was the east gate. The drive from Cody to Yellowstone was beautiful. And Cody was an interesting town to visit as well. I just got back from Yellowstone on a road trip with my son and your videos/websites have been truly helpful. We were lucky to be able to enter Yellowstone on Friday just days after its reopening from the floods. We stayed at Grant campgrounds for 3 days and visited Grand Canyons (waterfalls), Old Faithful, etc. I took your advice to bring bikes to see Morning Glory and it was worth it (cutting down the time to see the geysers in the area). Lastly, we enjoyed the ice cream and it was by far the best ice cream I've ever had. Thanks for the advice! I will surely review your tips in my next visit.

I can NOT stop watching your videos! Sooooo helpful! We are planning a trip in late may to early June to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and out to California. We have most everything planned out (thanks to you). But I can't decide on food. We are going to have a large cooler for drinks, snacks, and various meals. We only want to eat maybe 1 meal a day out. What meal do you think is best to eat out? And I have read many reviews about how food in the parks is over priced and not very tasty. What do yall eat when you go?

What's changed is that a 100 year old cabin that was $20/nite is now $150/nite. When I asked at Lake Hotel how much the Presidential Suite was (I had toured it years earlier, and it was $60/nite ... gorgeous!), they refused to tell me, saying, "It varies from day to day depending on demand." Excuse me! The Park has essentially been turned into a paradise for the very, very rich. All else ... just take pictures and keep driving.

We’re planning our first trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone this late September. We’re flying into SLC and staying for the week at a cabin in Jackson. I know it’s going to be a long drive the days we want to explore Yellowstone from there, but since it’s driving through the Tetons I’m sure it’ll be a beautiful drive! Luckily it’s just my husband and I and we’re from St. Louis so traffic doesn’t scare us. Lol 😂 💕 I’m so glad I found your channel because this was so helpful (I saw the Grand Teton video first!) especially because of the use of maps and showing where things are! We will definitely plan on getting up probably before sun rise and heading into Yellowstone from Jackson. I’m so glad you mentioned food within the park, because I hadn’t seen much about that, and being so far from our cabin, I wondered about needing to bring food with us or not. Thank you so much! Coming out this September-2022 from Massachusetts and I’m so looking forward to the trip! I will be purchasing both your Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Also would like to go to Glacier NP and maybe the Badlands. Not sure if packing too much in 7 days but going to try. I have heard many stores of people driving up with big class A motorhomes get turned away ruined their entire trip. Even a crew cab pickup truck plus 24' travel trailer will exceed lot of the limit size of 30 feet. They do have an RV park with full hookups at fishing bridge goes up to 90 feet but it's like a parking lot if you want to be in the wilderness that isn't the place to go. You have to reserve well in advance to get a spot.

Since your video about the top 10 YP foolish acts did not allow comments, I shall leave mine here:
1 - In 1952 at age 11, I visited YP with my grandparents, and one day we saw Old Faithful go off. There were only a few visitors watching, but I was intrigued and waited for everyone (including my grandparents) to leave. Then I walked up to the geyser hole and looked straight down into it. Nothing to see, so I walked back to the village. I was lucky to survive that foolishness.
2 - In 1960 at age 20 I worked at the Fishing Bridge Conoco Station. After 10pm the village was asleep except for us "Savages" (tourists were called "Dudes"), and we had us some fun almost every night. One favorite was "hot potting" ... soaking in a river with hot geysers feeding it ... one had to carefully choose a safe entry point AND be on the watch for the Rangers. The river was very frigid, yet burning hot along the edges where the geysers flowed in. The favorite hot potting spot was 2.1 miles north of the Conoco station in Mammoth Village at a turn-off above the Gardner River. It was often crowded down there, with the best spots often taken. Once I walked out a few feet into the fast flowing river and stuck one hand into the frigid water while sticking the other hand into the hot water near the bank. That's how dangerous it was. The river was narrow, so we all threw our empty Olympia beer bottles across the river. I'd bet there are a million broken bottles over there!
3 - Another stupid thing we savages did at night was to get tipsy (two 8-ounce malt liquors would do it) and go griz spotting. The biggest place was the garbage dump in West Yellowstone, which was lined at the top by up to 20 cars full of savages with headlights on bright and facing the dump. The dump went down a long and very steep hill from there, and the grizzlies were mostly at the bottom, feeding. Once I was there, and the griz got angry and ran up after us. There were a lot of griz, so we all did a LeMans start and burned rubber out of there. Before we could leave the dump, I looked out my rear window and saw a griz a foot or two away looking very unhappy, and we were doing about 30mph in that old '52 Chevy. Wow! But the craziest thing I did was go spotting two griz in the large grassy area behind the cafeteria in Fishing Bridge one night. I and another fellow were in the bed of a pickup truck with two others in the cab. We drove to the edge of the grassy area with our brights on the griz, which were about 100 feet away. I had a portable spotlight and jumped off the truck to get closer. At that point the griz turned toward us and raised up on their hind legs and started running at us. The truck peeled off and left me, so I dropped the spotlight, spun around, and ran at world-record speed toward the cabin office (still open). I think I was doing 35mph for that 100' run. I hit the back screen door so hard that it buried the handle into the wall, and I flew thru the room between two sets of visitors and smashed into the far corner while yelling "The griz are coming!" Then I ran out the front door and disappeared. I'm sure the griz only ran a few yards and then laughed at how they'd scared me.
4 - In 1966 at age 25 I was an Air Force Officer and on leave with a girlfriend in my '63 Stingray convertible and headed for YP. As we approached Fishing Bridge (about 2 miles east near the moose marshland), there was a "bear jam" (cars stopped to look at bears by the road). I stood on top of my car on the fiberglass cover behind my seat to see what was happening. About five cars ahead of me was a mama black bear atop a 15' hill and looking down at the road. Just below her and on the road were two of her cubs mingling with the tourists. One lady shot a movie camera while her husband lifted their 3 yr old daughter ONTO THE BACK OF A CUB! I screamed at them to get back into their cars, but to no avail. The only thing that saved them was the fact that mama bear was hesitant to rush into that crowd of people. I have MANY bear stories, but this one took the cake.
