I found a way to make the game run smooth without any lag or frame drops at max in-game settings . Go to your phone settings > display settings > screen resolution > switch it to HD+. You'll lose in game sharpness but your game will feel like genshin impact. Smooth like butter.

That's because if you lower your phone resolution it's almost like lowering your resolution ingame. It Will lead to a better performance sacrificing visuals and the difference is very noticeable looks very pixelated.
That looks horrible don't do that guys
Additional tips for smoother gameplay but doesn’t reduce the overall quality.
1. Set your graphics to medium
- I noticed that Medium and Advanced graphics almost the same, only the shadow quality is different in mobile devices.
2. Set your resolution to low
- Use FSR if you set the resolution to low, you will get the same quality of resolution like high resolution, hard to spot any difference if you use phone, at first i thought it’ll make my game blurry but when i enabled the FSR, they function almost the same.
3. Set your shadow to medium
- Medium can do his own thing, giving you a shadows and also a light rays, not that much a high quality compare to ultra high shadow but it’ll reduce your lag by a lot. Only downside of this is if you set your brightness to low and it’s night time, the scenery is too dark so to avoid that, just increase your brightness a little bit but not too bright so it’ll not wash the color, overall it’s good for smooth gameplay.
4. Use Anti-Aliasing
- When you enabled the FSR, turn on the Anti-Aliasing too so both of them can blend well, you’ll spot the differences if you turn off the anti-aliasing while the FSR is on, the resolution of FSR is a bit meh.
5. LOD bias optional
- Turning it on or off, doesn’t much of a difference, so it doesn’t matter if you enabled it or disabled it also it’s not laggy eventho you enabled that.
This small tips is only for mobile devices since some of us use smaller phone so it’s a bit hard to spot the differences eventho we maxed out the settings, in tablet and pc it’s visible to spot the difference but in mobile it’s not so try to do this and see for yourself if its reduce your lagAlso thanks for this video i didnt know that LOD bias and Capsule AO before lmao.
Are you sure? I can see a very clear difference in resolution. Also anti aliasing makes the entire game VERY blurry, not recommended at all. It's day and night in clarity

@@yayu414 I can't imagine, because I tried it exactly as u said. Go and try Disabling anti aliasing you'll be surprised at how much better the game looks because everything is clear as opposed to a blurry mess.

@@yayu414 That's a good point, on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra it's super blurry but it's obviously way smaller. It's also way blurrier when I lower resolution or graphics
i would highly recommend to anyone that they set graphics to advanced and then go about turning everything else lower, for some reason that is the only way to get enemies to load in on your screen unless you get within targeting distance of them, so you'll just be strolling along and 5 enemy healthbars appear with no enemy model in sight
I would like to politley diaagree with making the game colors look brighter.
The game isnt suppose to or was design to look like your playing in Genshin or Star Rail with bright vivid colors and contrast. It follow the PGR formula when it comes to color schemes and auch which is actually really refreshing since not everything needs to be so viberant.

ok but the game itself doesn't support this, the world obviously supports having colors more than the black gray climate of the post apocalyptic world that it uses as a theme
@@luisfillipebeserra2108 I would also like to politely disagree with this too. If the game was meant and developed yo be vibrant and colorful, it would initially look like that from the beginning. BUT it's not, it's not meant to look vibrant or colorful, some areas in the game are due to their theme or their environment but the game as a whole is not meant to look like Genshin in a sense.
The games whole plot its almost like and end of the world kinda thing or invasion of life ending enemies. Thats not meant to look like My Little Pony, even IF some people would WANT it to look like Genshin.

I would like if there would be a function to set a default height for the camera.
For pc it works well but on mobile, having the camera a little bit higher would be nice.

Turning off those settings may up your performance on your mobile, but drastically make your game bad. Compared to pc version, the graphic sucks so hard on mobile in every setting though. This is a pc game, not mobile game.
100%! Definitely designed for PC at core. The only salvation could be once they fix the FPS - correct me if I am wrong, they disabled the 120FPS on PC (currently 60FPS) as there are still performance issues and haven't fixed it yet. Hopefully the game could have supposed to come at 120fps on mobile as well - that would make sense as most latest devices can handle those/could look better 🤞🏼
Its because of Unreal engine, thats notorious for being not well optimized to use for mobile platforms.

For low end to mid range devices this might help
-Graphics very low
-resolution low
-brightness mid low
-FPS depends on you mine is 60
-other settings are all off and low except FSR and capsul ao turn them on.

changing the brightness over and over while playing can be annoying, i would like to set the brightness down to zero but I can't see anything at night, even tho those bright plants is mesmerizing.
what im trying to say is, it would be nice if DEV just add light stick that can be turned on or off. just enough light to get around
I dont know if this would be helpful but i have my mob targeting button and dodge button larger and near the centre so its easier for me to press them
I prefer not to overheat / overload my phone. So 45fps / FSR Off for me. Embrace the pixels.

My iPhone 14 pro starts to overheat really fast and then even though I have EVERYTHING ON LOW I can't fix it

turn anti aliasing and FSR off and play in a well ventilated area with moving air, helped alot with my i phone 11 overheating, looks worse but thats always been the trade off for better performance

Man i bought a new mobile Vivo T3 which has Dimensity 7200 and i am still get fps drop and sometimes the render causes fps drops what should i do.
Hi K! The 7200 is capable of running the game - the frame drop issue mostly comes from the developers optimisation, especially since it got worse on the last update.

Hi sorry for commenting so late but could you make another vid for low end laptop users?
default pc settings suck too. you need to use software to get rid of microstutters and hit 244fps. game sadly is a mess by default. game still looks pretty good on mobile honestly. unexpected

@@TheVoyagers. it depends on your setup im running on a 12core , 32gb , 4070TI. the default settings and 60fps cap are terrible on my 144hz monitor. you get ghosting and motion blur input lag etc. you need at least 144fps to play smooth on 144hz. if your on 60hz monitor and 60fps that should work fine ye.
@@hugo52 lossless scaling. it will give you framegen and you can upscale to get more fps if you want. how ever if you dont change the native 60fps in the game folder it will put you at 120fps if you change the ingame folder to 120fps it will put you at 240fps. ofcourse if you hardware is capable of these numbers.

I used to get 60 fps in max setting but after recent update I am getting 30 fps in any setting, I think its a bug
Thanks Clover! That would make sense with the ongoing patches as the Devs have turned down few times the 120FPS on PC platform to 60FPS, they mentioned their highest FPS settings were still causing performance issues they are still working on!

How is it going with the 1.2 update?
My phone has a relatively OK processor (SD 7 gen3) with 8GB of RAM but even in low settings sometimes i experience lag. Is my phone just not powerful enough or something up with the game?
Hi Suuurp! Right now the game optimisation since the last version is the main issue. Your specs sound fine, however i can see more stability with 12G RAM at the moment. Hopefully they will address this soon.

Hi Angel! Like for Genshin, unfortunately Redmi k50i GPU cant reach stability with max settings for such games unless you play those at 30FPS. Wuwa having even worse mobile optimisation, it will be hard to run properly above that rate without getting some drops. Hope that helps!

Hi Ahikaru! That sucks! Funny enough, I do have the Ipad Pro 8th gen and Wuwa works very well on it! I am not playing it cause its too big/heavy to hold on, and I am too lazy to pair a controller on it 😅. I believe you are referring to the standard Ipad with the A12 chip instead of the Pro with the A12z that comes with much more power/storage/ram as well. Unfortunately the standard A12 wont cut it - assuming you took a biggest storage that 32gb, I‘d suggest clearing out your storage as much as you can and closing all apps, that could be the only salvation.. Hi Suraj! Yes but it depends your IPad Gen/model - as mentioned to another viewer, if you have a regular/old Gen IPad with chip A12 only and low storage (32g) for example, you will struggle. I got an IPad Pro 8th Gen (2020) and it works perfectly with the settings recommendations. Need a model which has lot of storage and decent chip (from A12Z chips and above). Cheers!

Version 1.2 FIXED most of optimization issues on mobile and PC.
Thanks for the shoutout Roz! Main optimisation was about the long awaited 120FPS for PC (no sure how it went.). As per mobile, it remains unfortunately the same, nothing has changed across all devices/testing. Can also see there are new issues with their Bloom addition and filters (moon, etc), which flicker brightness pretty bad. They really need to work their ass off for mobile.
Awesome, it's made the graphics a lot better. No lag now, but my phone still overheats like crazy would it be an issue if it gets too hot? I'm also using a Samsung a54
Hi Ethan! You can try to lower down your phone brightness or in-game graphics, or your phone refresh rate (if you are 120htz, can try below).
The Samsuung a54 will throttle and shut down automatically if the phone is too hot, so don't worry about that - and if you live in a tropical region, just putting a fan around or a add-on on your mobile could do.

Game lag much for me on mobile when doing open world combat or just exploration things are pop up out of nowhere and gone texture loading all time its like just getting worse 1.1 still they make some things smother but idk the performance on mobile kinda bad bcoz most of players plays on mobile just do a daily spend wave plates .

I d suggest you change the Motions Control sensitivity (in Settings -> Control) if your issue is about not being able to walk/always running even when trying to push the joystick forward gently. Try it at 0.6 or 0.7, it will extend the walking circle, make it easier to control your character in between walking and running. Cheers Diego ;)

Before 1.1 patch I was able to play in medium with 35-40fps (with some lag spikes here and there) but now... Not even in very low I can play lol

A magnetic cooler is the solution.
I use black shark funcooler 1 and black shark funcooler 4 Pro.
Overheating is history.
I prefer black shark funcooler 3 pro (magnetic) or nubia red magic cooler 4 pro.
Both have good performances.

If you have an iPhone XR and you’re struggling with lag and crash issues I recommend you to put everything to low including anti- aliasing it really eats performance and turn FSR on, that’s the only setting at the moment that makes the game playable, yes it’s not pretty and yes it will still lag and crash sometimes but I tested every settings possible and unfortunately it’s the best setting you can have for now, like if you just want to grind and not miss a character that you really want while waiting to have a new phone it’s the way to go so im really looking forward new patches and I hope this will help the game to run better on iPhone XR, my battery life is at 83% btw

I have a phone with a good processor (snapdragon 8 gen 2), but even at lowest settings I feel lags and overheating.
I don’t even think to try high settings for long, because I don’t want to ruin my relatively new phone (there is simply no optimization)
Depend on your phone chipset, for example mediatek and snapdragon, maybe setting on this video good for snapdragon but maybe not for mediatek

Do i still need to adjust it on a 8+ gen 1 my cp still goes several throttling on my thermo app but it's only around 37 to 41 degree Celsius
Hi! Most phones have an automatic shutdown if CP goes too hot - try lower down your phone brightness, close apps and if you are in tropical region/ better be in cool environment (having an adhoc fan does good too). Then if it still throttling, you might want to lower down the ingame graphics settings accordingly. Hope that helps!

Maybe the thermal throttling, try to play it with an external cooler because there's no way that powerful phone will struggle on this game because I'm only using Snapdragon 870 phone ( rooted ) and I can play the game 30-60fps on highest settings

I have samsung a33 5g but whenever I increase graphic setting it say overload I can play honkai star rail at 60 fps but this game cause my phone over heat I don't know why this game is available on mobile when it is bad
Your phone is shit, honkai star rail literally has 1/3 of the spec requirements that Wuthering Waves needs, game is amazingly optimized, all the people making a mess about it, me and my friends have exactly the same specs that are recommend and we never experience lags even on max settings

@@lukachkuaseli1407 Game isn't optimized. There were cases of people with better android phones and even some ipad users complaining. And Kuro wouldn't apologize, which they did btw, if optimization issues didn't exist.

Thanks for bringing the issue, it's an interesting option! Imo, they should first fix/ fine tune the existing sensitivity on pressure points (like Genshin or Honkai, pretty smooth) instead of adding another command. They definitely have to rework the directional joystick, as shown in the video, there are still issues in between walking and running circles/areas which are jamming out too often even when we try to be accurate And if we put the motion sensitivity to its max (1), then we can barely run.. Hopefully its in their upcoming QOL paches for mobile🙏😅

Redmi7? Woo! Credo che questo sia un modello del 2019, giusto? Può supportare l'ultimo Android 13? Prima avevo uno Xiaomi, il telefono si è bruciato dopo un paio di mesi in cui stavo giocando a Genshin ahah.
Sto giocando su un vecchio Iphone 11, ma la CPU/GPU complessiva e il motore principale sono stati più progettati per i giochi e richiede ancora gli ultimi aggiornamenti IOS e non si surriscalda mai mentre gioco a Wuthering Wave. Chiudo tutte le applicazioni e mantengo molto spazio di archiviazione libero.
Sebbene gli sviluppatori stiano ancora lavorando per correggere le prestazioni mobili, sembra che si tratti più di un problema di funzionalità del telefono. Wuthering Waves consuma molte più risorse rispetto a Genshin Impact.

Game is not meant for low and mid range phones clearly, it is unplayable in medium graphics and for performance if you lower your graphics it looks like potato, it's bad.
