Sometimes the best cars are the ones produced just before the new model comes out. I bet the 2022 10R80 trans in this GT is totally dialled in now tune wise.
I'm glad I chose to buy my GT in 2021, I bought the same car and options but also got the digital gauge cluster and it was still a couple thousand bucks less because beginning in 2022 Ford raised their prices up and they lowered the hp and torque slightly. The only reason I would've waited for 2022 is for the new colors Ford released, I would love to have Eruption Green, I think it looks amazing!!!

I love the Grabber Blue color, but no way would I upgrade to a 2022 from my 2018 6 Speed GT. My 2018 has more hp stock vs stock than the 2022. That's just wrong.

I ordered a 22 GT, I was gonna get grabber blue but I went with eruption green with black accent active valve and 301A package. It looks exactly like the green one in the background! Can’t wait for it to be delivered !!
Very nice car, I almost bought a Mach 1 but they jacked the prices up so much I said screw it and bought a c7 z06. I’m more of a corvette guy anyway 🤷🏻♂️. I’ve had a lot of mustangs and they’re usually a great bang for the buck overall.

I had a 2012 GT Convertible w/Roush exchaust, K&N, RAID cold air intake and I added a larger throttle body… kept it for ten years. My fav so far. Put a smile on my face daily.
What's with the women's underwear color??? As big a fan I am of the Mustang GT I'm a bigger fan of the Roush/Saleen/Shelby builds - there's just something intoxicating about that supercharged V8 when you put your foot down that not many other cars can do. The GT500 is in fact a Shelby modified car sold by Ford as a factory spec with full warranty. Some may miss the stick shift but the truth is the 10 speed DCT brings this car up to date with more modern stuff.
The 06 looked far more manly though :). Especially in Shelby form. The shape of the cars are starting to look more like they are for the ladies hairdresser crowd today.

I must ask, my wife and I are considering a Mustang soon as I am Mustang guy. I am now in my 40's and we are starting to have some knee issues. I really want to get the manual transmission but I am hearing so many issues with the 6 speed manual in these Mustangs. She wants to get the automatic so she can drive it too (she can't drive manual). But as you know, manuals are SO much more fun! And if you are going to spend the money, you should get what you really want... right? What do you think? Thanks!
you should hold off until the redesigned 2024 mustang comes out to see if you would rather have the new one instead of this one if I were you unless you really just want the current one lol
I really feel like calling todays Mustang and Camaro a "muscle car" is a bit of an inaccuracy. They are far from basic and so refined that they are borderline luxury coupe's. The Charger and Challenger I think fit the muscle car label well. That said, it's a great time to be in where the performance and features of these cars makes one rethink what a traditional label like muscle car is.
The Mustang has always been marketed as a sports car. Literally since day one. People just call it a muscle car but it never really was. It was always supposed to be an American version of a British sports car. At least back in the day that’s how it was marketed.

I'm hoping to pull the trigger on a new GT within the next year. All media outlets are stating that the new platform won't debut until 2024. That gives me another year to get the older platform...which is what I want. I hope Ford keeps the purple color they debuted in 2022. I've seen it in person...it is gorgeous. I wouldn't have ever considered purple had I not seen it for myself.
The GT's major flaw is it has dogshit transmissions for both manual and automatic. If it had the Bullit's/Mach 1's/GT 350's tremec 6 speed it would be a great car.
I want a muscle car too. I’m going with the 03-04 Ford Mustang Cobra though. Next year I’ll have one. Prices are too high this year. I’m holding off till the prices come down.

The GT by itself is a great setup. I think for the additional price you are getting some really nice touched with the Performance pack. Better brakes, engine cooling, unique wheels, and spoiler.
Hey joe. I’ve been debating heavily on whether or not to get a standard GT Premium with the 401 A package. Or a GT with the Performance Package. Is it truly worth the money? It would be my first muscle car / performance car of any kind. Thanks so much!
Get the upgrades trust me bro its definitely worth the money getting the digital display and premium. I just bought a 2022 Mustang GT premium dark matter grey every option but the seats.

10 less HP because of a extra carbo filter inside the airbox, it can be easily taken out to get your 10 hp back. EPA stuff. The 24 mustang has auto start/stop on it…

this market is insane, 48k for an almost base mustang. 2 years ago new mustangs were going for like low 30k.

Awesome color! I had a 2017 GT Performance Packafe 6 spd Grabbat Blue. So much fun with it and def an attention getter.

Just want to say, Ford keeping the pop rod is not only classic, but is safer. Hydraulics don't last forever and are just a fancy option

My dealer said that the purple color is a permanent addition like the eruption green. but who knows what the dealer actually knows lol
